Dr. G. Eric Li graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry and Doctor of Dental Surgery. At the Medical University of South Carolina, he completed his post-doctorate training in Periodontics and received his MSD in Biomedical Immunology. Dr. Li specializes in diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease, dental implants, advanced alveolar bone grafting and periodontal plastic surgery. In addition to his formal education, he has completed several advanced training courses in laser-assisted periodontal surgery and non-invasive gum therapy. He is one of few doctors who is a certified clinician utilizing the LANAP and LAPIP protocol.
Dr. Li also completed hospital-based anesthesia certification and is one of the few periodontists in Atlanta that provides in-office conscious I.V. sedation. Quality care with the most advanced surgical techniques and patient comfort is his# 1 priority for his patients. He will always strive to stay up to date and current with new technology and techniques that minimalize his patients discomfort while maximizing patients experience and results.
Dr. Li is a member of many professional organizations including the American Academy of Periodontology, Georgia Dental Association, Southern Academy of Periodontology, South Carolina Society of Periodontists and the American Dental Association. Dr. Li served as the vice president and president for Asian Pacific Student Dental Association (APSDA) at the Ohio State University.
He was co-founder for the Asian dental out-reach program in central Ohio as well as received a service award for volunteering at East Cooper Community Outreach, treating underserved patients in South Carolina.
In 2019, Dr. Li started the Peach State Laser Periodontics Doctor Study Club to be a resource for likeminded clinicians. He currently leads one of the largest Spear Doctor Study clubs in the Gwinnett Area.
Dr. Li and his wife, Tina, enjoy spending time with their daughter Layla and their Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Casey and Kiwi. He also enjoys dabbling in photography, playing on his guitar and BBQing his signature dish: Brisket!

My 10 yr old son had an oral surgery from Dr. Li. Everything went great so far. The facilities were clean and the staffs were super nice & made everything easy. Highly recommended!

Dr. Li and all of his staff is absolutely amazing. I wish he did general dentistry. He made my process great, which we know having your guns cute is never good. He went over and beyond and it was greatly appreciated. He has a pure soul if I ever need to have anything completed that required his business, I will schedule an appointment without hesitation. Needless to say it isn't ideal to need a periodontist at my age, but I was in that situation and feel very fortunate on being referred to Dr. Li and the entire staff. Procedure went well and they often checked in to make sure the recovery was too. I feel confident my gums have been given a second chance all due to the great people at Peach State Laser Periodontics.

It is a lovely environment and everyone is professional and safe. Dr. Li went to Ohio State which pleased my driver. And my favorite pizza place is on the way home. They seem to have very up to date equipment. I was not kept waiting.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr Li. He made me feel very comfortable and my surgery went well. He guided very well from the first consultation. I had multiple extractions and bone grafting as well. The entire staff also made me very comfortable and answered my every question in detail. I would highly recommend Dr Li. I am so thankful to Dr Li as he understood my pain and gave an early appointment rather than my scheduled time. Awesome experience

This is an update to my previous review, left below for reference, pertaining to ongoing treatment. This implant procedure is located in a very fragile area of the mouth and ultimate failure is possible without proper care. Dr. Li and his entire team continue to provide very caring and attentive support in helping me do everything possible to guarantee longevity of the implant. In addition to performing periodic cleanings, they maintain continuous updated X-rays of the area to confirm related bone and tissue involved in the surgical process remain healthy and stable, and provide continuing counsel regarding at home care to bring about additional peace of mind that everything is functioning as intended. The level of attentive care provided by this group is second to none and I remain very grateful to have this level of support in managing such a fragile situation. I was referred to Dr. Li by my dentist to address a fractured tooth that required extraction and placement of an implant. Dr. Li agreed to see me that same afternoon. He and his associate Amanda greeted me immediately upon my arrival and undertook needed examinations to determine what corrective measures were needed. They have the most current diagnostic equipment I've ever seen and their 3D scanner provided extremely clear and easy to understand pictures of the damage and what needed to be done. Dr. Li discussed his findings and recommendations with me and my dentist for concurrence and approval and then immediately began the procedures. During every step of the process Dr. Li explained exactly what was being done and why, and both he and Amanda continuously checked with me to ensure I was comfortable. The procedure took several hours and given it began in the late afternoon, I was deeply grateful that Dr. Li and Amanda remained so committed to my care without any concerns for their own personal needs at that late hour. They remained extremely communicative, pleasant and jovial throughout the process which greatly added to my comfort during the procedure. When they finished, I went home with the implant together with care instructions and medications that would be needed to bring about a smooth and quick recovery from the procedure. The level of caring support, professionalism and follow up I have received from the members of this practice has been beyond compare and second to none, and I'm extremely pleased to be a part of their patient family knowing the level of care they provide.

My grandmother (80Y) was referred to Dr.Li's office due to her severe gum disease/ receding gum line. I was very concerned due to other general doctors recommending extraction or continuous deep cleaning but not an exact solution. Dr. Li was able to sit in with his hygienist and provide us a detailed explanation while allowing me to translate to my grandma. He really took his time with us and was patient in making sure that both of us were well informed. He suggested an invasive procedure where we could have her do a periodontal laser therapy along with consistent deep cleaning follow ups. We were both very pleased and they were practical on working with us financially providing us optional plans such as care credit. I'm relieved to have my grandmother start her treatment within the same week and having a staff that's working towards helping her efficiently and quickly.

The staff at Peach State Periodontics is great. I had LANAP done on a Friday. Someone from the staff called me later that day to check on me as well as give me a contact number in case I have issue over the weekend. They did a great job explaining the procedure and the after care. I highly recommended them.

OMG y'all so I was told my 14 yo son needed a labial frenulectomy to ensure his teeth remained realigned after braces. First of all I had no idea what that even was before his pediatric dentist Dr.Willis made this observation. It made sense cause my realignment failed and my teeth pulled back apart so my parents blamed me for not wearing my retainers (only partially accurate). Anyway.. Dr.Willis at Kwon Pediatrics referred us to Peach State. I neglected to complete the new patient paperwork within the 3 day prior to appointment window as requested...I literally filled it out 2 hours before. Amanda was so kind and understanding sending me REPEATED gentle reminders. She answered all my questions via text so I didn't have to keep calling or waiting for an email reply. The office vibe is super chill because it is so professional. We paid for the consultation upfront, the paperwork for the procedure was emailed to me immediately after the doctor's assessment. Dr. Li and crew talked him thru the entire procedure which was completed using a laser so minimal blood loss. We were told to use ALOE PLANT GEL for healing...who prescribes NATURAL REMEDIES!!???!? and ibuprofen if needed... YES YES YES He ate mashed potatoes and sausage an hour after the procedure and 1 - 200 mg ibuprofen and went to sleep. It's 8 hours later now and he has reported NO PAIN OR DISCOMFORT...just the feeling of "air" in the space they did the procedure because the tissue was removed so yeah that should feel like air. He is back on his computer, yelling about whatever game he is playing with his friends...all is right with the world . Next step braces . If u are considering this office and they are further or not in network or u have any reservations my experience has been it's worth it. I did pay out of pocket because the insurance only covered an actual surgery. My time, not having to deal with narcotics, stitches, potential complications from infections, and a child in pain was priceless. Dr. Li and his amazing staff were able to achieve what I was told by a select few oral surgeons would be extremely difficult. Some told me they wanted nothing to do with it and referred me to Clear Choice. I don't do business with large corporate dentists and denture companies. Dr. Li was able to perform an all on six upper implant permanent prosthesis procedure where bone recession had been a problem. He was able to do bone grafting during the procedure to help with implant success. I can already see a huge improvement in my quality of life. He works with one of the best in the business in prosthesis fabrication as well. Their attention to detail is impeccable. I cannot express enough how happy I am with what Dr Li and his staff were able to achieve with me!

I was so nervous to get my crown lengthening done because the last place I went to traumatized me, but this place was fantastic!!! The entire staff is so friendly and nice. They even gave my flowers as a get well gift upon leaving my follow up. Seriously the best company!!! The doctor knows what he is doing and they ease your mind! Just wonderful things to say about them!
