They never answer the phone.. every time you call into them you always send you to voicemail and they never call you back! I have been a client here for 16 years but they are just getting worse and worse!

Dr. Patel is really amazing, I never got a chance to get examined by his son though. Me and my son both have done extensive dental work from him and his experience is simply superb. Further, I have also visited other dental offices (like Dr Rina, Rajchel and Children's Dental etc), but compared to them this office has been really worthy.

I do not recommend them to take my daughter from a very young age every 6 months and for them she was always fine. She had an internal infection where they never told me how serious the situation was and she had to undergo surgery. A child should not go through such suffering due to the irresponsibility of doctors like these.

Paxton Dental Care PC Okay, so I didn't give this business 5 stars, only because I hate going to the dentist...but my recent dental experience here was really good. So first off, I asked my wife what dentist we use because I have had a tooth ache for three days now, and she says "Paxton dentists." Okay so I look in the phone book and call them up, because my tooth hurts pretty bad and when they answer, I tell the woman who answers the phone I have a tooth ache and is there any way they can get me in today. And she says, "Can you get here by 11 Honey?" I like it when the girl on the phone calls me Honey...it kind of reminds me of my Mom, and so I said, "I'll be there." She asked if I had been there before and I said, no but my wife has...because as I said, I hate the dentist, so I don't go a lot. So I plug the address into my phone GPS and its located at 852 S 16th Street, Harrisburg, PA, and I drive over. As I get close I am thinking, "is this an okay neighborhood?" But as I pull up I think, I guess it's an okay neighborhood and the building looks nice. So I go in and the woman who I spoke to on the phone who called me "Honey" is sitting at the front desk, and she looks just like my Mom, except that she is black and my mom was white and she is a little bigger than my Mom was (in certain areas), but I just want to go over to her and put my arms around her and get a big (and I mean big) hug from her because I am a little nervous about being in the dentist's office and this woman just looks like she would be good to hug! So I fill out the necessary paperwork including the form where you tell them who is your next of kin in case you die in the chair, and then in minutes, I am sitting in the chair and a nice guy comes in who looks like he may be in his late 50's or early 60's introduces himself as Dr. Patel and then he takes an x-ray of my tooth and in a few minutes he is showing me that a filling I had when I was a kid is cracked, and there's a little decay. I ask him if I am going to need a root canal, because I had one of those about 30 years ago and it was the worst pain I have ever had in my life. In fact, I think we should do away with water-boarding and just give terrorists root canals and they will give up any secrets they know. Dr. Patel says he likes to take the conservative approach first and we'll see how that goes and so he's going to drill (Ouch!) out the old filling and any additional decay and put a new filling in (and I will feel like I just got a root canal even though I didn't. because I have never had a cavity filled, with the Novocain, that I could not still feel the pain right down through my jaw all the way to my toes). So Dr. Patel starts sticking me in the gums with a needle that looks like a prop from an old horror movie, and in a few minutes, I am drooling all over the front of myself. Then Dr. Patel starts to drill and I'm thinking, "hey wait a minute, something must be wrong" or "he must not be doing this correctly" because I am feeling no pain???? And I have to say, that is the first time in my 57 years of life that I have had anything done to my teeth, involving Novocain when I didn't thing, I don't know why we even bothered with the Novocain... Oh, and here's the funny thing. So I get back home and I am telling my wife about how well it went and I said about the neighbor being okay, and she says, "Where did you go?" And I say, I went to Paxton Dental Care, just like you told me," and she says, that's not where I told you to go. I said to go to Paxton Family Dentistry." Well, maybe I didn't go to the place she said for me to go, but I have a different dentist than my wife as of today. Thanks Dr. Patel for fixing my tooth ache! So, to Dr. Patel, I say, thank you for taking such good care of me, and to anyone reading this review, I say, go here, it's a good dentist and to that wonderful woman at the front desk I say, I'll be back again and would still like to have a hug from you.
