Dr. Paventy is passionate about orthodontics. He truly enjoys his job, working with his team, and most of all, spending time with his patients. Dr. Paventy's philosophy is to provide the absolute best orthodontic care in a positive environment. He enjoys the diversity that each patient brings to the practice, and he looks forward to helping his patients create spectacular smiles!
Dr. Paventy began his career as an orthodontist by completing a rigorous orthodontic education. He believes that a good education is essential for any orthodontist, and he takes great pride in his achievements as a student.
In order to maintain a high level of expertise, Dr. Paventy regularly participates in continuing education. In fact, he is so dedicated to being an orthodontist that he takes more than double the required amount of continuing education each year.
In 2009, Dr. Paventy was awarded the Charley Schultz award from the AAO for his research done while he was a resident. The award was given to the most outstanding clinical research done by a resident worldwide. He is now a Diplomat for the American Board of Orthodontics. This is an honor achieved by very few orthodontists in their lifetime. He is also a part of the Spear Study Club and has had his research published.
Dr. Brown feels blessed to be a part of such an incredible profession. Orthodontics allows him to work with people who value oral health and beauty. It is extremely satisfying to see the transformation in his patients health, appearance and confidence. It affords him the opportunity to work with patients of all ages and in many different stages in life. It is fun and exciting to see them grow and change. It is gratifying to see how enjoyable the experience can be for his patients and team.
Education plays a major role in an orthodontist's career. Dr. Brown's orthodontic education has given him a strong foundation in orthodontics, and provided him with the knowledge and training to become a highly qualified professional.
Dr. Brown enjoys participating in continuing education. The orthodontic profession is always evolving with new treatment options for patients and it is exciting to be involved in these advancements through continuing education. He is an active member of national and local orthodontic and dental societies, keeping him involved with other practitioners in the field. In addition to attending courses, he also volunteers at OHSU and LBCC dental education programs. He is committed to providing his patients with the best treatment options available.
Dr. Brown not only belongs to many orthodontic associations, but he has assumed many leadership roles as a way to continue his education. Dr. Brown feels that his high level of involvement with his colleagues and professional associations, results in networking opportunities and a sharing of ideas that further advances his orthodontic knowledge. So awesome! I have a 10yo and an 8yo and their experience here has been nothing but stellar. Super friendly staff and they make sure to explain everything to the kids so they know what to expect! Dr. Bahnson is always ready to answer any questions and concerns I have. They are the best! Highly recommended!

We were on vacation from Wisconsin when my son's braces wire came loose and began causing pain and discomfort. They were willing and able to slide us into the schedule within 2 hours of me calling. They got us in quickly, fixed the problem, and allowed us to continue our trip pain and worry free. All with no prior relationship. Great people and a great company. We really appreciate it!

My daughter's springs and bracket came loose while on vacation at the coast. It was pretty painful and uncomfortable while eating... I found Paventy & Brown through Google and gave them a call. They were able to see us same day to remove the springs until we could get home to see her regular Orthodontist! Thank you for making our trip so much better and taking such good care of my daughter!!!

I love my new teeth. I got my braces at the Newport location in February 2021 and got them off a couple days ago. The staff is so kind and fun to be around and all the assistants are so knowledgeable. Karen at the front desk is helpful, patient and always makes me smile. Even when I had braces! I am 35 and I had a lot of feelings about getting them as an adult. All the staff were always really patient with me and walked me through each step. There were many times in my life before braces where I felt I didn't belong at this fancy restaurant or that fancy event because of my teeth. I could dress up all I wanted, but my crooked teeth would always give me away. No more! They are straight and white and beautiful! Thanks to Paventy and Brown.

We have had a great experience with the Newport office. Front desk/admin extremely easy to work with and flexible. Hygienists and doctors explained each step and are excellent at what they do. The whole experience has been relatively painless and definitely worth it! Highly recommend the Newport office!

This office is amazing! While visiting from out of state, my daughter's appliance became partially detached. I called the office, spoke with Karen, she was immediately able to schedule an appointment for my daughter to be seen! From the moment we walked in the door, staff was warm and welcoming, they all worked smoothly together and exhibited great comradeay. Brittany, our ortho technician, was so sweet and professional. Dr. Hagge was also very friendly. He quickly devised a game plan, and clearly explained what was going to take place before moving forward. I highly recommend using Paventy & Brown Orthodontics! I'm so grateful for the care they provided!

This is one of the best Orthodontics office in Oregon. The office staff is very friendly. My daughter likes her Orthodontist very much. He is kind and respectful. The girls who adjust her braces always tell her what they are going to do so she knows what's going on. I would recommend them to everyone who needs Orthopedic help.

Everyone here is great! I had braces when I was 15 with a different orthodontist, and got my braces back on with Dr. Paventy at 23 due to needing to fix my bite. My smile is looking great! I would recommend them to anyone looking for great orthodontic care. The team is very helpful.

Everyone in this office is SO nice . I had braces put on a couple weeks ago and they were so accommodating with scheduling / getting it done fast etc. They even sent me a cute little gift box with a super nice electric toothbrush and a frozen yogurt gift card! Love them so much

Ever since I came to my first appointment I felt welcomed. Dr.Hagge listened to all my concerns and insecurities I had with my smile and pointed out things I couldn't see myself at first but that needed improvement which I highly appreciated to see the point of view of a professional. I went to 3 different places to get different opinions and this place is the one I chose and I am SUPER happy with my decision, experience, and results so far. I have seen amazing improvements and everyone there is always sooo nice and welcoming.I HIGHLY recommend this place and I know its where I will be taking my son in the future if needed.(:
