Dr. Jill Paulson has been practicing dentistry in Sioux Falls since 2012 but before that time practiced in Kansas City for five years and in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts from the University of South Dakota and then went on to receive her degree from the Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2004. She continues her education throughout the year and is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Brenda has been a wonderful part of our dental practice for over 30 years and stayed on when Dr. Paulson bought the practice from Dr. Idema in 2015. She has been working in the field of dentistry since 1981 and loves how friendly and family-oriented our practice is. She helps our office run smoothly by greeting our patients with a friendly face, contributing her problem-solving skills and relating to our patients, many of whom she has known for years.
Rosalie Rosy joined our office in October 2013. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2007 and later attended the University of South Dakota, where she received her bachelors degree from the dental hygiene program in 2013. She loves our small practice and how we all get along and treat each other like family. Her friendly attitude helps our patients feel comfortable, and she is committed to building trust with our patients so that they know they are more than just numbers.
Rosy is married to her husband, Mike, and together, they have two daughters and two cats called Zeek and Ziggy. Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, baking with her kids and running 5K marathons.
Darcy has been with us since January 2015. She attended Watertown Vocational School, where she was certified as a dental assistant. She enjoys working with her co-workers and helping our patients feel comfortable.

Horrible dentist. She is all about pulling teeth instead of saving them. She cracked my tooth and said we would keep an eye on it instead of repairing it right away. Needless to say a few weeks later it cracked more. I went back to her and she said we would have to pull it and have an implant put in. I have since been going to another dentist who was able to fix my tooth. She messed up a crown on my Moms tooth. We are not impressed with her at all and would never recommend her to anyone.

Worst dentist I've ever been to. Had an emergency when my front tooth broke, this dentist proceeded to make my broke front tooth shorter than my non broke one so now my front teeth aren't even (pre & post appointment pictures attached) . I brought this to her attention and she made me feel like I was in the wrong and she still didn't fix it correctly. I highly DO NOT recommend Dr Paulson as she's now messed my perfect smile up.

I am temporarily in Sioux Falls and I called Paulson Dental to get a filling fixed that had fallen out. I was SO happy when I left. Brenda was so nice when I first walked in. She had a big smile and is friendly. I have a lot of anxiety about the dentist, so that helped. Dr. Paulson and Darcy made me feel so comfortable- like I had been going there for years. They listened to me, were engaged in authentic conversation and it was honestly wonderful. I absolutely recommend them for all of your dentistry needs! :-)

My husband and I have been coming to Paulson Dental since we moved to Sioux Falls several years ago. We are both very happy with the dentist and staff there. Very professional and so friendly! I would gladly recommend this place to everyone looking for a pleasant and professional experience.

I've never had a good experience with a dentist so I naturally put off any tooth problems till the last minute. (Hurts so bad I wanna die) I called Dr Paulson late Monday about this toothache. She worked to get me squeezed in Tuesday, I believe on her lunchbreak and had me in and out in about 40 minutes! Dr. Paulson and Darcy worked to remove the tooth pain free! By far the best dental experience I've had and will be returning! Thank you Paulson Dental!

I was really not impressed by this dental office, despite the great reviews, my experience there was not great. I went in for a filling and the dentist checked my mouth (briefly), noted that I had a small cavity then tried to convince me to come in at another time to fill it. We do not live in town, they most likely over booked her. I did not feel like a priority and she seemed very rushed. Then with the months following they kept having trouble billing our insurance...it was a strange experience to say the least and we will not be back.

I actually wanted to give 4.5 stars, but it doesn't let you. I have been going to Paulsen Dental (previously Idema Dental) for at least 20+ years. The staff have always been helpful and friendly. They make you feel like a part of the family and not just their next patient. They do an excellent job weither you are coming in for a check up or have to get a crown.

Thanks to Dr Paulson, I actually look forward to going to the dentist. She performed a number of procedures on me in the last week; no pain or discomfort and she was quick, precise and highly skilled. She is also very attentive the whole time making sure you let her know should you experience anything you don't like. She even told me I did not need a more expensive option that I thought I needed - now THAT is integrity. Her office staff is top notch and genuinely warm and welcoming. They fit me in right away and called me back immediately when I had left a message after hours. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and thank you!
