Dr. Paul Ward is an orthodontist in Lansing and Okemos, Michigan. He specializes in providing quality orthodontic treatment for children and adults. Heutilizes only the best braces, including traditional, self-ligating, and the Invisalign system.
After high school, Dr. Ward attendedMichigan State University,then the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He was elected president of his dental class, earned an academic military scholarship, and again graduated at the top of his class. He was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society, and received numerous awards and honors.
After dental school, Dr. Ward served as a Captain in the United States Army. He was stationed at Madigan Army Medical Center, Fort Lewis, Washington, where he practiced hospital dentistry, trained Red Cross volunteers, and was assigned to the 673rd Medical Detachment. Dr. Ward is the fifth consecutive generation of his family to have served in the armed forces.
After military service, Dr. Wardreturned to the University of Michigan, which is recognized as having one of the top orthodontic programs in the world. He completed a three-year residency and received a Master of Science in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Dr. Ward is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Ward has been in private practice in Lansing since 1999. He isactive in the greater Lansing community as well as in organized dentistry. He has served as president of the Michigan Association of Orthodontists, and as a state board examiner for the Michigan Orthodontic Specialy Exam. Dr. Ward also served on the peer review committee for orthodontics for the Michigan Dental Association. He served as editor for the Central District Dental Society, and volunteered in the Cleft Palate Clinic at Sparrow Hospital.
Dr. Ward and his wife have been married since 1990 and have two wonderful daughters. He enjoys attending local high school and collegiate sporting events, and is a patron of the Wharton Center. He also enjoys the outdoors and is an avid boater.

Our staff consists of team members with specialized training and certifications, and years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.
At Ward Orthodontics, we strive to give our patients the best possible experience throughout their treatment. We do this by staying up to date with new technology, creating a comfortable environment, and providing a level of customer service second to none.
We pride ourselves on being technologically advanced in order to better serve our current and future patients. Our iTero Element machine allows us to take scans for Invisalign, impressions for retainers, and virtually place brackets on models for indirect bonding. Not only do these scans save time by eliminating various steps, but they help with accuracy and make our patients visits much more enjoyable!

I got my braces on in January 2018 and I got them off today! I could not be more excited to show them off. Every single one of the staff members are knowledgeable, super sweet and they always answered any questions I had. Whenever I was concerned about how certain areas of my teeth were going to turn out, Dr. Ward explained to me what was happening and what was going to happen, and always reminded me that if I wasn't liking something, to let him know, so he could address it. The appointments were always around 20 minutes, which was very helpful because I was usually coming from work and had to go back after. Literally any time I went, I was called back almost immediately, my appointments always started on time. I rarely had to reschedule my appointments, but when I did, the ladies working the front desk were so helpful. They also have a rewards/points system where you earn points for taking care of your teeth properly, not missing appointments, etc, which I thought was really cool. I appreciate Dr. Ward for following the guidelines created for Covid, I felt like they cared about patient's safety and they always wore their extra protective gear. I would definitely recommend you get your braces or invisalign from here!

I saw Dr. Ward about 10 years ago. He handled the braces I needed for a complex years long rehab of my mouth and jaw that included surgery. Trust me when I say my teeth were a mess with how crooked they were! I have never met a Dr. who cares not just about you but about how well he can do his work. He is a perfectionist!! That is a great gift to have in his line of work. With the beautiful job he did on me (I'm a walking billboard, lol) several family members have had their teeth beautified by his talent. His staff is just as amazing and make sure you feel welcomed. I will say that the reason I first walked in the door was to gain some options before I chose who would take care of my mouth. His cost was so reasonable I chose to go with him. Now that I know how he is as a Dr....that is at the bottom of the list! Walk in the door and you'll see these 5 star reviews are real!

This is the easiest review I have ever written! I would highly recommend Dr. Ward to anyone in need of orthodontic work. Dr. Ward and his staff are extremely personable and genuinely nice people. I live in a small town 50+ miles from Lansing so this was quite a commitment on my part, and well worth my time and effort. My teeth look amazing and I am most grateful to Dr. Ward and his staff.

We have taken two of our daughters to see Dr. Ward for braces. They are wonderful here!! They are kind and gentle, always make the kids feel special. Dr. Ward is very good at his job and has made beautiful smiling teeth for our girls. Plus, they take payment plans with no interest:), can't beat that. I highly recommend this office!!
