I have been practicing general and cosmetic dentistry with an emphasis on aesthetics and full mouth rehabilitation since graduating from Temple University in the year 2000. Previously, I attended UCLA for undergraduate work from 1992 to 1996 and earned a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry.
After having acquired a solid foundation in general and cosmetic dentistry while interning with Dr. Bruce Crespinfounder of Esthetic ProfessionalsI went on to establish my own practice in San Diego. With over 12 years of experience, I continue to grow this practice with a careful consideration for patient comfort and education. I invest in a thorough pre-treatment phase, discussing and exploring options, guiding my patients to the most beautiful, healthy, natural smile.
My practice has grown rapidly throughout the years, with two centralized Clairemont locations. I continually rely on the expert assistance from my Associate, Dr. Jann Ramos, and our entire staff to provide families with personalized and gentle patient care, always keeping in mind that each and every patient deserves a healthy and beautiful smile.
I have been in the dental field since 2008 and joined Dr. Taylors in 2015. My day to day responsibility is to educate patients of their treatment options and also go over financial options. I am here to help with any questions or concerns patients may have. We strive to make sure every patient is comfortable and satisfied with their treatment. I love being apart of a team that makes sure our patients are happy with their beautiful smile! Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my son and our two German Shepherds.
Ive had the pleasure of being part of Dr. Taylors team since 2014. During my time here, I have built friendships that have made coming to work every day fun! From helping out with answering telephone calls, checking in patients, making sure the office is stocked with all the essentials to make the day run smooth, and organizing and sending out mail, I love being able to be a helping hand in the office. Outside of work I love to go shopping, work out with friends and take my Morkie (Maltese Yorkie), Beemer to the beach to run around.
Our office is like a big, happy family. We all work well together and we all help each other so that our patients receive the best care possible. I enjoy seeing how grateful our patients are to have healthy smiles, and Im glad to know that I am able to help them keep their smiles looking good for a lifetime. My favorite part of my job is seeing how happy patients are with their results and how relieved they are that they had a pleasant experience. In my spare time, I like to hang out with my coworkers and grab a bite to eat. Every now and then I like to work out and spend time with my family.
I do my very best to make sure my patients are comfortable and enjoy their time spent at our practice. I enjoy being around people, especially when I know I am helping them improve their overall health and wellness for the rest of their lives. I am proud of the way that our team is able to meet the needs of so many unique individuals. We have such a fun team here; were always laughing and we all work together to provide the best care possible to our patients. Outside the office, I love outdoor activities with friends and family. Im a big fan of the Miami heat and a TV junkie!
That moment I see a patient smile when looking in the mirror after treatment gives me so much joy. That is the most satisfying part of my job! I get to assist Dr. Taylor and our team in creating healthy, beautiful smiles every day. I care about how each patient feels, and I enjoy being able to answer their questions and help them overcome any anxieties they may have about their treatment. Working with this team has been amazing. Everyone is always willing to take time out and teach. In my free time, I love to be with my wonderful son Christopher, who always knows how to make me smile and laugh.
I was born and raised in San Diego. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from UCSD, I moved to Los Angeles, where I attended the University of Southern California School of Dentistry and received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
I have extensive experience in general and cosmetic dentistry and continue to build my expertise with an emphasis in overall health of my patients, as well as meticulous consideration for the aesthetic aspect of a healthy and beautiful smile.
I am also a dedicated member of the American Dental Association and the San Diego County Dental Society. In my spare time, I love to read, travel, and spend time with friends, family, and my Cocker Spaniel, Jake. You may have noticed I go by Dr. Ramos now. I recently married my amazing husband and changed my last name!

I always get a thorough cleaning at this dental office. However, Amber has been the most thorough of all my visits so far. She was calm and friendly throughout my whole visit. When the polisher in my exam room didn't work, so she calmly moved me to another room to finish off my cleaning. She also calmly scheduled my next visit and checked me out despite not having any front desk personnel. This is why I keep coming back for my cleanings here. Keep up the great work!

Dr Taylor if by far the best dentist I have ever had! He is an outstanding dentist, extremely knowledgeable, courteous, caring, friendly and I can't say enough good things about him and his wonderful, caring and super friendly staff. I have referred many friends and family to Dr. Taylor as he is by far the BEST there is! He is also opposite of every other money making dentist I have ever had, he does not charge for many things that ever other dentist would charge me high prices for! I was quite shocked that he actually really cares about his patients instead of caring about how much money he is bringing in! He will be my dentist for life and I am extremely grateful to have him and his wonderful staff to take care of all my dentistry needs!

Great office- I have been going here for 3 years and my experience has never been less than great. The staff is professional and they always try to accommodate my schedule, the office is lovely, and they do a good job of taking care of my teeth. Love it.

Dr. Taylor and his staff has taken excellent care of our family for over 18 years. I know he uses the most current materials and methods to take care of our teeth. The office is always available to answer our questions and follow up on procedures we have had to make sure they were successful. Dr. Taylor and his whole staff are wonderful. I have been going here for many years and always know I'm in good hands. Dr. Taylor is professional, caring, and he always finds the best solutions to save my problem teeth. Super friendly and courteous staff. Everyone, from receptionists, techs to Dr. Taylor himself, was pleasant and helpful. Office is immaculate. Great first impression so far and there were no "up sales" or attempts to go outside what my insurance covers. Quite the opposite, make it clear that you are there to maximize your insurance at minimal personal expense and they will work with you. Timing is a bit tough, they did see me within a month and I was lucky enough to land a cleaning this week, next available was in March.

I have been using Dr. Paul Taylor's practice for almost 20 years. I have found that Dr. Taylor and his staff are personable, professional,, attentive and ,accommodating to me and my dental needs consistently over all these years. My particular dental issues have been challenging because of my personal history and Dr Taylor has risen to the occasion to do what was necessary each and every time to resolve my problems. I work in the mental health field as a therapist at a large medical company and I know what is involved and what it needed to take good care of patients. Dr Taylor has always been ahead of the curve with technology and healthcare in his practice. Our mouths and our teeth are essential to our overall health. I trust Dr Taylor's expertise and his staff's efficiency to make sure that I am and stay healthy in this area of my health

I originally gave this location a good review because of the administrative staff. but since then I want to revise it and say that I found out from a new dentist that they damaged my crown which was very expensive (I didn't find out how expensive until it was already in). They never told me they did it even though I noticed they looked nervous while working on my tooth. Now they wont fix it and I will have to have it replaced and pay out of pocket because they refused to work with my insurance company to replace it. I am considering small claims court. Additionally, I paid for expensive 3D images and asked for them to send to my new dentist and they ignored that request.

Don't go here. Will conveniently tell you that you need the cleaning that isn't covered by your insurance. Will not let you go against Drs wishes and choose what services you receive. Pretty frustrating just waiting to find an honest dentist :(

They just really don't care and you can feel it when interacting with them. I got new insurance and tried this dentist office bc it was close to my home. With my insurance I receive two free cleanings a year. My first appointment they insisted that I do an extra deep cleaning below the gum line and this was not covered by my insurance. I understood that I needed a deeper clean because it was my first cleaning in awhile but they assured me that afterwards they'd be able to revert back to my cleanings that are included with my insurance. I just spoke with them and they're refusing to do the cleaning that's included with my insurance. The reason being, the dentist recommended another deep cleaning (on the same day the last deep clean place took). In other words they're trying to milk me and my insurance. I asked the person I spoke with to review with the dentist because he made the recommendation even before the last cleaning took place. Think about it for one second, how could they recommend another deep cleaning on the day the other cleaning took place? They're either saying the deep clean they did was no good (which is not the case because I actually thought the cleaning was good) or they're saying they don't believe I maintained after the last deep cleaning (wish they would have no way of knowing until seeing me again). I explained the situation to the person on the phone and asked them to please review it with the dentist again but they refused. I told them I would need to go to another dentist that would honor my insurance if they were unwilling to review this again and they basically said goodbye, we don't need you. They were less interested in maintaining a long-term client than they were in getting my $95 copay for another deep clean that I didn't need. What a shame. I would recommend finding another dentist/people that look at you as more then $$$$$. EDIT - Owners response is a perfect example of how little they care. Cut and pasted an answer that barely applied and didn't respond to any of my actual concerns.
