I grew up in New Kent County and attended Longwood College where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I then went to ODU and received a second Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene. I have been a practicing dental hygienist for 15 years. I try my best to treat patients the way I would want to be treated. My favorite part of my job is helping others and helping my coworkers. Dr. Stanovick is hard working, energetic, positive, and very appreciative of his patients and staff. Our team is made up of jokesters, singers, dancers, story tellers, talented athletes, and so on and so forth. We always try to have a good time and not take life too seriously. My family members include my husband, Brian, my dog, and my cat. I love any outdoor activity, especially running, biking, hiking, and kayaking. I also like traveling to familiar and unfamiliar places, cooking, and experimenting with new dishes.
I attended Bridgewater College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. From there I went to North Carolina for Hygiene School and graduated in 2010. I have been working with Dr. Stanovick since the late 1990s. I started out sterilizing instruments, chart filing, working the front desk and dental assisting. I knew I wanted to stay in the dental field so I pursued dental hygiene. Since Dr. Stanovick was my first dental job, I always knew I wanted to come back and work for him again. What I admire about him is he is so empathic, compassionate and has energy that is never ending. I have always enjoyed our patients as well. I enjoy getting to know people on a personal level.
After graduating from Lee Davis High School in 2014 I attended Virginia Tech for two years were I studied biology. I graduated in 2019 with a bachelors in Dental Hygiene at VCU. I admire everyone in this office for his or her love and compassion they have for their job and their patients. Dr. Stanovick is humble and compassionate both as a dentist and as a friend; I am lucky to call myself an employee of Dr. Paul.
I knew at a young age that I wanted to be in the dental field. I completed two years in the dental assistant course at the Chesterfield County Technical Center. I have been a dental assistant for 6 years, and I could not imagine doing anything else! I hit the jackpot when I started working for Dr. Stanovick. He treats all of his patients like family, and he loves giving them beautiful smiles. In my free time, my husband and I enjoy playing with our two dogs: Marley, a black lab, and Khloe, a dachshund. We also enjoy biking, fishing, and hanging out with friends.
