Welcome! I am a dental assistant for our practice, and it is my duty to get everything set up for our doctors. I sterilize and prepare instruments, take X-rays, order supplies, take impressions, and maintain equipment. I began working in the dentistry field in 1980 and have worked in this office since July of 1996. I love everything about my job, especially working with our patients and my wonderful co-workers. The doctors are passionate about what they do. They're very supportive, compassionate and caring. They are the best! In my family, my husband, Ric, and I have one daughter named Karen.
I grew up here in Arlington Heights, and it is a great privilege to help my friends and neighbors attain optimal oral health for a lifetime of beautiful smiles. I love being a dentist because it allows me to have personal contact with my community and to provide a necessary service in a warm and friendly environment.
As a native of Arlington Heights, I attendedRolling Meadows High Schoolbefore studying atSt. Olaf Collegein Northfield, Minnesota. My dental education was completed at theUniversity of Illinois Dental School in Chicago.
After graduation, I was an associate dentist with Dr. Frank Psota before taking over the practice. As a result, our practice has been continuous here since 1955, with myself as the principal dentist since 1985. I am proud to be joined in our practice by Dr. Matthew Phan and Dr. Kasia Zelichowski, who help us offer a larger number of services and more convenient hours for our patients. Our whole team works together to provide the highest quality care and friendly service for our patients, because we truly care about those we serve.
I have lived my whole life in Arlington Heights, and enjoyed raising my family here. My wife, Maria, and I have two grown sons who live here in town. When I am not practicing dentistry, I am an avid bicycle rider, riding in events all summer and totaling thousands of miles a year.

I really can't say enough great things about Dr.Gharib and the staff. As a person who hadn't been to the dentist I quite some time they were patient and never made me feel badly about the state of my teeth. A plan was put in place, payment and charges were explained before each procedure. The receptionist and hygenists are also out of this world, kind and accommodating. When I've had additional questions or concerns the staff including Dr Gharib assured me and made sure these concerns were addressed. Excellent service overall!

I have seeing Dr Anfenson for a couple of yrs. I had an emergency visit on Tuesday and although Dr Anfensen was on vacation I saw his partner Dr. Garibaldi for the first time. He was just as nice and friendly as Dr Anfenson Both dentist put me at ease and made me feel comfortable . I would highly recommend either of them.

My family has been going to Dr. Anfensen for almost 30 years. His office staff is always friendly and the techs are great, too. Dr. Anfensen always makes sure I am comfortable. He talks me through every procedure, even routine cleanings. Appointments are timely and I am sent reminders in the mail and over the phone.

Growing up I was a military kid that moved around a great deal. I never really had just one dentist, jumped all over the place. Dr. Paul Anfenson has been with my wife's family for three generations. Now not only do I feel the benefits of having a dentist that knows you but more importantly cares on a different level. He's simply a caring professional that goes above and beyond for his patients.

Needed to find a dentist in the area after not seeing anyone in a year due to the covid. I was able to get a quick appointment due to a cancellation on a Saturday. Could not have been more pleased with my finding! Starting with the receptionist Erica, the experience was exceptional. Debbie was very professional and did one of the best and most thorough cleanings I have ever received. Dr. Anfenson treated me as if I had been a patient for 30 years.He spent a generous amount of time going over each x-ray and explaining all his thoughts about my dental status. I would recommend the office to everyone!

I had a great experience at Paul M Anfenson, DDS. They were able to take me the same day I called and everyone was extremely friendly! Even when I needed to see a specialist about a root canal, they made sure to call and get me in that day. I would recommend this dentist to family and friends.

I was very impressed with Dr. Anfenson's practice from the moment I walked in the door as a new patient. The front desk reviewed my new patient paperwork with me. The hygienist's cleaning was thorough. And then Dr. Anfenson's shared his exam findings with me. I felt comfortable enough with the cleaning and exam to the point where I've already scheduled my next cleaning and exam with his practice and had my spouse schedule her first visit with Dr. Anfenson.
