Dr. Paul H. Carico, III (Dr. Trey) received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Tennessee at Memphis Health Science Center. He went on to do additional study of Advanced Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry at the Kois Center in Seattle, WA. There he earned the distinction of becoming a Graduate, Mentor, and Life Mentor, and has also helped educate other dentists. Dr. Trey is a Graduate of the Implant Surgical Program at the Misch International Implant Institute in Detroit, MI. He has attained Fellowship Credentials from both, the Misch International Implant Institute and the International College of Oral Implantologists. He continues to attend multiple continuing education courses every year, to maintain his grasp on the cutting edge of Cosmetic, Restorative, and Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Treys professional memberships include the International College of Oral Implantologists, D.O.C.S. (Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation), the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association and the Chattanooga Area Dental Society.

Dr. Paul Carico, Jr. (Dr. Paul) has been practicing dentistry in Chattanooga, TN for 41 years. After receiving an undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Chattanooga, he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and a masters degree from the University of Tennessee Medical Units.

To further his knowledge and expertise in comprehensive dentistry, restorative dentistry, personalized dentures, sleep disorders and sleep sedation training, Dr. Paul has completed extensive post-doctoral work and many continuing education courses. He has studied at the following institutes:L.D. Pankey Institute,Dawson Academy(under Dr. Pete Dawson),Kois Center(under Dr. John Kois),Global Diagnosis and Core Dental Group(under Drs. Jeff Rouse and William J. Robbins),Metz Sleep Center(under Dr. Jim Metz),Stanford Medical Center,Cleveland Clinic,Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation,Turbyfill Denture Center, andEmory University Hospital. He also studied under Edward P. Allen, D.D.S. to learn about esthetics and periodontal surgery, and Dr. Doug Thompson educated him on oral diagnostics, oral medicine and treatment.

Dr. Paul is a member of the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, Chattanooga Area Dental Society, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and the American Academy of Operative Dentistry.

To stay updated on the latest treatment techniques and technologies, Dr. Paul attends many annual and semi-annual meetings of the Kois Center Symposium, American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, American Equilibrium Society, American Academy of Operative Dentistry, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Esthetic Academy, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

In his spare time, Dr. Paul serves as a member of the Chattanooga Rotary, and he is a Paul Harris Fellow Recipient in Rotary. He is also a member of the Mountain City Club and a past Deacon at the First Presbyterian Church. Dr. Paul has been married to Cheryl Mease Carico for 47 years. They have three sons: Dr. Paul (Trey) Carico, III (restorative dentist and partner); Reverend Nathan Carico (ordained Presbyterian minister); and Seth Mease Carico (professional opera singer in the Berlin Opera). Dr. Paul and Cheryl also have seven wonderful grandchildren: Tristan, Ravyn, Tennyson, Autumn, Weston, Emery, and Ellington. His hobbies include snow skiing, water skiing, boating, wood working, and participating in church and family activities.

Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the latest in technological advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.

April has been working at the Center since 2011. She has two passions. The first is her dental career. She feels blessed to be able to work alongside the talented doctors at the Chattanooga Center for Comprehensive Dentistry. She loves having a key role in changing patients lives one smile at a time. Her second passion is weightlifting: when not at the Center, she spends her free time at the gym.

CheChe, wife to Paul Carico and mother to Trey Carico, has been the Center for Comprehensive Dentistrys patient liaison with insurance companies for over 25 years! She works tirelessly to procure any and all available benefits from a patients insurance plan. Away from the Center, Che closely follows the lives of her three sons, two daughters-in-law, and seven grandchildren. She is a tireless member of the Signal Mountain Playhouse Board, working diligently behind the scenes to ensure that the show will go on. She also is an avid hiker. Not only is she the leader of the Wednesday group of the Chattanooga Hiking Club, but has also completed nearly all of the hiking trails in southeast Tennessee, southwest North Carolina, northern Georgia, northern Alabama, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Haley is a registered Dental Hygienist in the state of Tennessee and Indiana. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Southern Indiana. She and her husband moved to Tennessee, excited to start their careers in a beautiful, welcoming place that caters to all who love the outdoors. Haley has enjoyed connecting with all of her patients at the Chattanooga Center for Comprehensive Dentistry, as they bring a sense of community to her life here in Tennessee. She strives to provide the best care for her patients, as well as educating them on the importance of oral health care and the holistic effects that oral hygiene has on the body. Working with such wonderful patients, alongside an amazing team, has been one of the many blessings Haley has experienced since moving here. She has a passion for music, enjoys hiking with her husband, and loves spending time with her dog, Tink.

Jennifer is a Registered Dental Assistant with Chattanooga Center for Comprehensive Dentistry. In this role, Jennifer assists the doctors to provide a variety of different procedures. In 2010, she received an associates degree from Miller-Motte Technical College, where she gained her radiation certification. She is also certified in nitrous oxide monitoring and basic CPR/first aid. Jennifer loves helping her patients achieve the smiles they deserve. Jennifer is married and has two boys. In her spare time, she enjoys writing poems, designing and taking photography.

Melissa is a wife and mother of three. She attended Miller Motte Technical College and graduated in 2011 with an Associates Degree in Dental Assisting. She performed her 300 clinical hours at the Chattanooga Center for Comprehensive Dentistry and has been here ever since. She is now the Scheduling Coordinator. Her friendly voice will most likely be the first voice you here when calling our office. Melissa uses her dental assisting skills to schedule our patients so that our patients time is used as efficiently as possible.
