Hepersonally does all exams, exposes all radiographs, preforms all cleanings, and prepares customized treatment plans for each patient. Additionally, no one waits to be seen in the waiting room. We utilize a variety of the latest and greatest dental technologies in our practice to ensure patient comfort and efficiency. For example, we utilize advanced digital X-ray technology in our office. Digital X-rays provide several advanced imaging options designed to save time, provide clearer dental photos, and expose patients to less radiation than traditional X-ray technology.
In addition to digital X-rays, we also utilize intraoral cameras. With the use of an intraoral camera, we can see every aspect of your teeth and mouth with incredible detail, uncovering cracked teeth, plaque deposits, cavities next to fillings, and excessive wear. This allows us to catch dental issues early on, and resolve them before they become major concerns. Patients enjoy our intraoral cameras because it allows them to see on a monitor in real-time what we are seeing, keeping them more informed on their dental health.
We also utilize CEREC technology, allowing us to provide our patients with same-day crowns. If your tooth is cracked or damaged, CEREC allows you to leave our office with a completely restored tooth. Using CERECs proprietary software, your restoration will be designed according to your tooths appropriate form and function. Then, CEREC will use diamond burs to create your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. With CEREC, there is no need for a temporary crown, saving you a trip to the dentists office.

Dr. Paul Bowersox feels humbled and honored that his patients trust him with their oral health. It is a special trust that he takes very seriously. Working with different people every day made Dr. Bowersox realize we are all basically the same, looking for happiness for our families and ourselves. He finds it is incredibly rewarding to change a persons life by alleviating acute and chronic pain, or by giving someone confidence with a bright beautiful smile.
Dr. Bowersox feels extremely lucky to have the opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of his patients. He strives to treat each patient the way he would want someone in his own family to be treated. He gives the best he has and does the best job he possibly can each and every time.
Dr. Bowersox was raised in Westminster and is a 1979 graduate of Westminster High School. He attended Gettysburg College and received a Bachelor of Arts in biology in 1983. After college, Dr. Bowersox attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1987.
Dr. Bowersox served on active duty in the United States Navy Dental Corps from 1987 until 1991. His tours of duty included a general practice residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland; one year as the dental officer on the USS LaSalle AGF3 while forward deployed to the Persian Gulf; and onboard NAS Whiting Field in Milton, Florida. After release from active duty in 1991, Dr. Bowersox maintained his affiliation with the Naval Reserve and has been assigned a multitude of different tasks while attached to the Marine Corps Reserves.
These assignments have taken Dr. Bowersox all over the world to provide advanced dental care not only to Marines but to severely underserved people. These missions enabled him to bring back a multitude of experiences to his practice and provided many leadership opportunities that allowed Dr. Bowersox to rise to the rank of captain in the U.S. Navy.
Dr. Bowersox is excited by the tremendous advances in materials and techniques that make dentistry virtually pain-free today while providing strong, beautiful, long-lasting restorations. He is an alumnus of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. He attended in order to stay up to date on the most recent advancements in aesthetic dentistry to provide the highest quality care and treatment possible. He has also completed training in ClearCorrect clear aligner orthodontics, and treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea.
Dr. Bowersox and his wife Deb currently reside in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. He enjoys and is passionate about playing golf, going to the beach, sports, working out, and spending time at home. He attends and is active with Gettysburg Presbyterian Church. His commitment to the Naval Reserve, his family, and his practice has kept him very busy over the past 23 years, and he wouldnt have it any other way.
We recognize that all our patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. The receptionist was extremely nice. Dr Bowersox was professional, took his time and explained what was going on. Happy to find a great dentist in Westminster.

My husband and I had our second appointment with Dr. Bowersox and again he was most professional, thorough, caring and above all what a dentist should be. He discussed all aspects of our dental hygiene; both positives and negatives. This is what I like in a "professional" doctor. Kudos to him and his staff, excellent treatment.

*** Edit The front desk attendant made a false claim in her response where she says that they called Cigna and found out it was Blue Cross. That is untrue. I gave her the Blue Cross card on my second appointment and she said it was fine. Then I was billed and told later on they do not accept my insurance. Paul Bowersox must have not been informed becasue according to the Better Business Bureau he has not been responding to their calls.*** Reported to the Better Business Bureau for deceitful business practices. I went to this dentist twice. After a mix up with insurance the first time around, I handed the front desk worker my CareFirst insurance card. She said that it was fine and they accept that insurance. I get a bill later for over $565 for two cleanings and an X-ray. I called in and the front desk worker said that they do not fully accept CareFirst and I have to pay the rest. She denied ever telling me that they accepted it, but found no issue with scanning my card in and not telling me that I will have $565 to pay later. She said Dr. Bowersox would call me back two times but he never did. So, I sent in a check for what CareFirst sent me and wrote "paid in full" on the check. Dr. Bowersox cashed it and then continued to ask for the rest. I have reported them to the BBB for deceitful business practices because they will have no problem taking your insurance while neglecting to tell you that they do not actually accept it.

My experience with Dr. Bowersox was the best in my life. I'm a severe gagger, which has caused me to despise every dental experience. I was again so uneasy upon my arrival, but his assistant Julie and the Doctor put me at ease. I have dentist phobia, but after saving my tooth that I felt had nothing left...I will be going to no one else. He got me through the entire experience without gagging as well. Thumbs up and hats off to you Dr. Bowersox. My faith in dentistry is restored. Thank you.
