The biggest difference between a PPO and an HMO is that an HMO allows you to see the doctors that are only within the HMO's dental network. With a PPO plan, you can see any doctor you choose but coverage is greater for certain providers that the PPO has contracted with. Seeing doctors outside of the PPO network results in higher out-of-pocket costs like co-pays and coinsurance.
Dr. Christianson is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science at San Antonio.He completed a one year General Practice Residency at Ft. Carson, Colorado. Dr. Christianson is a retired Lieutenant Colonel with 22 years of active federal service.Six of those years as an Infantry Officer, and was privileged to be commander of a Special Forces A Team for 2 1/2 years.
He provides over 34 years of dental experience. Dr. Christiansons major hobby is restoring a 1930 Model A Ford and DIY projects around the house. The intraoral camera is an amazing diagnostic tool for viewing different angles in the mouth that we would not have been able to just a few years ago. The camera gives us the ability to view the entire mouth on a monitor so that we can get a closer look at any potential issues or problems that may arise. In addition, the patient will have the ability to see for themselves first hand the same images we are seeing. These digital images are also excellent for gaining procedure acceptance from insurance companies.
Rotary Endodontics is a way of performing the root canal utilizing a specific electrical handpiece. This tool often makes the process faster and allows the dentist to perform the process with greater ease.

I've been going to Dr Christianson for over 20 years. Everyone there is always prompt, professional, kind, accommodating, and honest. Yaeta has been cleaning my teeth with guru level skill, smiles, wonderfully obsessive attention to detail, grace, the best attitude, playful hassling about my lack of flossing, and great conversation for longer than either one of us would like to admit. I owe her a debt of gratitude for my continued oral health. Thank you Dr Christianson and team for going about the work the way you do.

I have been a patient of Dr. Christianson's for many years now. He is THE BEST DENTIST there is!!! His office staff are always welcoming, engaging, and very professional. I met his new Dental Hygienist yesterday. I believe her name is Trisha. I have nothing but praise for her professionalism, experience, kindness, and she gave me the Best Cleaning I've ever had!!! Thank you to All of the Staff at Dr. Christianson's office!

Dr. Christianson has been my dentist for the last eight years. He is an outstanding practitioner of dentistry. I see him twice yearly for dental health screenings, and he has provided services to myself, to include fillings, and a crown. I have been very pleased with the services provided. The staff is extremely professional, beginning when you walk in the door and are greeted by Kimberly, who is a gem, especially when dealing with insurance and changing appointments. I can not say enough good things about Yaeta, my dental hygienist who makes even the most squeamish patient comfortable.

Great experience, Lost a crown from an old root canal. They saw me on very short notice and fixed my problem. Charges were reasonable , office and exam rooms were spotless, work was top notch. I will go back in the future.

THIS IS THE DENTIST THAT YOU WANT TO GO TO! I am the biggest baby when it comes to dentists and my fear of dentists had lead me to avoid going for the longest time. End of the day, I needed some minor and major procedures and after reading reviews I chose to have them done with Dr. Paul Chrstianson. Staff is super professional and friendly. The doctor is very aware of your body language and will happily make adjustments to ensure that your comfortable throughout the duration of the procedure. To top it all off, the prices were extremely reasonable, even the pre-insurance prices were lower than other places had quoted me after insurance. Long story short, after my experience with Dr. Christanson and his office, I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. I will be a patient of his until the day he retires.

The 1.5 hour drive is well worth it to be under the care of Dr. Christianson and his staff. They remind me of the dental offices from my childhood- warm, caring and knowledgeable staff with excellent skills.
