Paul B. Gabriel DMD - General dentist in Wexford, PA

Dr. Gabriel has provided excellent dental care to his patients for over 10 years. As a father of two, he knows how important it is to maintain oral health for the whole family. He provides care for patients in all stages of life, from the growth of their first teeth to prevention of tooth decay throughout adulthood.

To Dr. Gabriel, you arent just a file in the computer. Each patient is a unique person with individual needs and desires. Hell take the time to get to know you and formulate a unique treatment plan so youll be happy with your smile.

Dr. Gabriel graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1994. He studied cosmetic dentistry and implant dentistry at the New York University College of Dentistry, the Southern Dental Implant Center, and the Misch Implant Institute all prestigious institutions.

Dr. Gabriel is dedicated to continuing his education so he can keep up with the latest dental advancements. Hes completed over 1900 hours of advanced studies in orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, and implant dentistry. Hes always studying the newest and best dental techniques to provide you with better treatment.

To choose a new dentist, youll need to evaluate the quality of their education and experience, the services they offer, and how you feel when youre in their office. You dont have to commit to one dentist if you dont like your first visit there, and its very important to feel comfortable with the dentist you choose. We welcome you into our office to get to know Dr. Gabriel and our team we strive to provide an ideal dental experience for all of our patients, and we hope you like it here.

If you never go to the dentist, youre putting your smile at serious risk. Even if you brush your teeth often and floss every day, there are areas of your mouth that can be hard to reach without special tools. When these areas are regularly missed during cleaning, plaque can build up in your teeth and lead to cavities.

Eventually, these cavities can cause serious pain and lead to tooth loss if they arent treated. Our office can provide preventive care to reduce your risk of cavities by cleaning those hard-to-reach areas, as well as fixing any cavities that do develop before they become a threat to your smile.

Technology has improved our lives and may greatly change our lives in the coming years. Just like these important inventions, dental technology has also been advancing to make oral treatments easier for patients.

These incredible machines and tools can make your dental experience quicker and more comfortable. Thats why Dr. Gabriel makes sure to keep his office equipped with the latest and safest technology. Learn how each piece of technology can help you.

X-rays help our dental team detect issues that arent visible to the human eye. Digital x-rays require less radiation, take less time, and are available immediately so well be able to know if you need treatment quicker. Well be able to see cavities before they even begin to cause issues for you, and well treat them with minimally invasive procedures.

For more detailed cavity detection, Dr. Gabriel uses a DIAGNOdent machine. If we see an area of concern on your x-ray, we can be certain whether its a cavity or another issue by using this incredible piece of equipment.

Regular dental visits consist of a physical and visual examination, but it can be tough to see all areas of the mouth. Intraoral cameras are small, pen-shaped objects with a camera on the end that can fit easily into the mouth. They provide high-quality images of areas we cant normally see, allowing Dr. Gabriel to take better care of your oral health.

Cavity treatment just got better. With this innovative treatment, Dr. Gabriel can easily disinfect your tooth using a painless and non-invasive treatment. HealOzone uses ozone gas to help clear away the bacterial infection and rebuild your tooth.

Lasers and dentistry may seem like an odd pair, but laser dentistry is an incredible advancement that makes many treatments better. Hard-tissue lasers can improve cavity treatments and tooth shaping methods because its more precise. Soft-tissue lasers cause less damage to the gums and promote healing, leading to a quicker recovery.

Serious oral diseases arent always obvious. Some diseases, such as oral cancer, are often detected too late for easy treatment. Thats why oral cancer is sometimes referred to as a silent killer. But with the help of VELscope, Dr. Gabriel can easily detect abnormalities early on so you can be treated with the least invasive treatments.

CBCT scans are incredibly useful for many dental situations. While x-rays can show us a picture of certain areas of your mouth to detect cavities, CBCT gives us a broader picture. The scan takes less than one minute but shows us a full 3D picture of your jaw and head.

A steady flow of clean air is essential for keeping viruses and bacteria from spreading. Thats why our office is equipped with an air filtration system that keeps you safe from sickness. The air is surgically clean for ultimate safety during your visits.

Intraoral cameras are used for looking at areas of the mouth that are difficult to see in high detail. Dr. Gabriel can examine your teeth visually, but the intraoral camera can help us detect areas of concern with more certainty. The pictures from the intraoral camera can also be shown to you on a screen, so youll have a better understanding of the dental problem and treatment we recommend.

Yes, CBCT scans are safe. They emit a very limited amount of radiation that wont harm you, and the scan usually lasts less than a minute. We do take every precaution to make sure you arent in any danger during the scan, and CBCT scans arent taken very often.

Missing a tooth can mean losing your confidence. Luckily, an experienced dentist such as Dr. Gabriel can restore the look of your smile with dental implants, providing patients with a solution thats effective and long-lasting. Unlike traditional bridges and dentures, dental implants are inserted directly into the jaw to create a smile that feels strong while looking natural.

You dont have to hide your smile anymore. Learn how our experienced team can help you replace your teeth with dental implants. You can become confident in knowing that you have a perfect smile that lasts a lifetime.

Dental implants are high-quality prosthetics that are designed to fit naturally with your teeth and blend perfectly with your smile. A simple surgical procedure is performed where a small hole is created in order for Dr. Gabriel to insert a titanium post into your jawbone. Through a process known as osseointegration, the implants slowly and naturally bond to the jawline and are fitted with custom-crafted crowns restoring your smile and the confidence that comes with it.

Dental implants are an incredible tooth replacement solution that surpasses all other options in terms of long-term investment and efficacy. What sets dental implants apart are the titanium posts that act as anchors for your new teeth, keeping them secured while you speak, eat, and brush your teeth.

  • Jawbone Stimulation: Dental implants act as an effective replacement for tooth roots, stimulating your jawbone and helping to maintain its bone density. Not only does it make your smile stronger, but also supports your oral health.
  • Long Lasting: Dental implants are permanent, with your crowns having to be replaced after 25 or more years. With proper care, which includes brushing at least twice a day and flossing, you can keep your confidence high with healthy teeth.
  • Dental implants require your jawbone and gums to be healthy. If youve been missing a tooth for a while, your jawbone may have already started to deteriorate. Luckily, Dr. Gabriel may be able to restore your jawbone by conducting a bone graft. He can also restore gums that have receded using soft tissue grafts in the areas that need attention. Your body will build additional tissue in response to the procedure.

Once Dr. Gabriel determines that youre ready for dental implants, hell begin the placement process. While dental implants do require surgery to be placed, Dr. Gabriel will make sure you are comfortable throughout the treatment by applying a local anesthetic. He can also administer sedation for additional ease during surgery. The implant will spend the next couple of months bonding with your jawbone once placed.

Your dental implants need time to bond with your jaw through a natural process called osseointegration. While a few months may seem too long, a dental implant is the best replacement option for missing teeth. The initial integration process is what allows the dental implant to provide its benefits. Once the implant is done healing and integrating, youll be ready for the final step of the process.

The final step of the dental implant process is attaching the crown to the titanium post. The abutment is then placed to complete the procedure, fully integrating the piece into your natural smile. Once Dr. Gabriel attaches your custom crown, youll be able to leave our office showing off your newfound confidence that comes with having a perfect smile.

Taking care of your dental implants is as easy as taking care of your regular teeth. Thats one of the reasons why theyre so popular as a tooth replacement option. All you have to do is maintain a proper oral hygiene regimen, including brushing your teeth at least twice a day, flossing daily, and scheduling bi-annual checkups with Dr. Gabriel.

Our office recommends using a soft-bristled toothbrush with a non-abrasive toothpaste so you dont risk scratching your implanted crowns. Using unwaxed floss can also help keep your implants in its best shape.

If you have type 2 diabetes or take other medications that suppress your immune system, you may be at a greater risk for infection during the process. Teeth grinding during sleep can also do damage to your implant, leading to long-term complications. Let Dr. Gabriel know of any of these conditions so he can make the best decision for your oral health.

The most intimidating part for patients about getting a dental implant is the surgery. Some patients may need more than one supplemental procedure for their dental implants, making the process longer than most tooth replacement options. While more secure, the implant takes several months to bond with your jawbone, requiring a lot of patience.

The dental implant procedure isnt painful at all due to receiving anesthesia and sedation by Dr. Gabriel. You may experience some discomfort after the procedure as your tooth is healing, but this tends to go away within a week. Our expert staff will make sure that youre comfortable during your treatment and that you receive the care your smile needs.

Treatment options vary depending on the severity of your case. For many patients, implant-supported dentures are an incredible option due to them being stable, promoting jawbone health, and requiring less maintenance. In cases where dentures are a better option, these can help your smile by providing you with a full set of teeth while maintaining the shape of your face.

Your smile is an important part of your appearance. We know how devastating it can be when something happens to it. Dr. Gabriel helps patients fully restore their smiles all the time, so he can help you too. Youll be able to experience the confidence boost that comes with a gorgeous smile.

Dental implants are the top-tier tooth replacement solution available. Not only do they look and feel natural, but they also provide unmatched benefits. Dental implants are the only tooth replacement that keeps your jawbone strong and healthy.

Dr. Gabriel does everything he can to care for your natural teeth. But sometimes, a tooth is too far gone or causes damage to your smile. In these cases, an extraction may be necessary for the benefit of your health and appearance.

Tooth loss is a natural part of life for many people. But you still deserve a beautiful and fully functional smile. Thats where dentures come in Dr. Gabriel can give you a smile that looks completely natural. Youll be able to enjoy all the foods you love and feel confident in yourself.

Yes, dentists can fix all kinds of smile issues of any severity. Dr. Gabriel is an experienced dentist whos helped many people with a complete smile makeover. The right dentist can absolutely transform your smile and boost your confidence.

Restoration techniques that take longer can involve the regeneration of natural tissues in your mouth, which take time to grow. Bone grafting, a treatment often used in conjunction with dental implants, can regrow bone in your jaw but it does take a while to do.

Dentists can use a variety of materials to fill teeth, depending on your preference. Amalgam has long been a staple in dental restorations because of its strength, but due to its silver color, many people avoid it.
