Todd E. Patton, DDS Dr. Todd Pattons earliest memories of going to the dentist are happy ones he was fortunate enough to have a dentist who would let young Todd watch as he worked on his teeth, and enthusiastically answer any questions the young dentist-to-be could think to ask him.
Pattons real appreciation for dentistry began in his teen years, when he had bonding applied to cover up some stains on his teeth. I was amazed at the instant results, he remembers. I suddenly had more confidence and enjoyed smiling a lot more all the self consciousness just went away! I wanted to be able to help others feel the same way.
Today, Dr. Patton provides knowledgeable, gentle and caring dental services to patients of his own in his thriving practice in Annapolis, MD. His office is family friendly and features flat screen monitors so patients can relax and view movies during procedures. I love Annapolis, says Patton, who lives there with his wife and their two kids. Its a small city with a small town feel Im able to really get to know each one of my patients and their families.
The procedures offered at Pattons practice are cutting edge, including Digital X-rays, Intra oral cameras (allowing patients to see exactly what is going on inside their mouths), early cavity detection, NewTom Cone Beam CT Imaging (the latest in image screening for accurate implant placement), and high-quality dental implants (providing a natural look and optimal health after implantation.
A native of upstate New York, Dr. Patton received a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Union College, Schenectady, NY. He graduated from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, Dental School, University of Maryland where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, and also undertook advanced dental training at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY, where he completed a General Practice Residency.
Dr. Patton is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Maryland State Dental Association. He has received honors from the U. of MD Prosthodontic Honor Society, has been active in research at the U. of MD dental school and has received the Academy of Orofacial Pain Award for Excellence in the Diagnosis & Treatment of Orofacial Pain.
Patton points to long time friend and mentor Dr. Richard Sousa as an inspiration in his life and his practice: Hes sincere, compassionate, empathic, and artistic everything you should look for in a dentist. I hope I project that type of caring to my own patients.
Dr. Patton believes strongly in giving back; he is active both in dental missions to Jamaica and the Dominican Republic, as well as within his own community, where he has a strong relationship with Light House Homeless Prevention Support Center of Annapolis. He also volunteers in inner city Baltimore communities to promote dental health.
When hes not volunteering or attending to his busy practice, Patton is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying the opportunities Annapolis affords for biking and running. He is also a passionate saltwater fisherman, an accomplished musician and a devoted skier. Most of all, Dr. Patton enjoys spending free time with his wife and kids.

The staff at Patton Smiles is always friendly, courteous and efficient. It is a sign of a good organization when they hire and retain excellent staff. Dr. Patton has grown in his skills over the years, and he is meticulous and thorough. He just did a filling replacement, using a laser tool that does not require Novocaine, and the procedure was completely painless.

I came here to see Dr. Bouffard. He and the staff there were wonderful! From the front desk staff Paige and Carter, Chris assisting Dr. Bouffard, and I hope I'm not forgetting anyone or using the wrong names, but I had a very pleasant experience with each person each time I was here. They are truly caring and have the best bedside manner, both when you call on the phone to ask a question or make an appointment to when you are there in person having a procedure done. Dr. Bouffard went above and beyond for me. He is so kind and knowledge and truly wants to help his patients. I had gum grafting and Wilckodontics (corticotomies) done here. I didn't know what to expect, but they made me feel comfortable and in good hands throughout my experience. I would recommend this group to anyone!

I visited Dr. Patton for a cleaning and checkup. Their safety protocols alleviated my concerns regarding the Covid situation. I was shown into the office and I was seemingly the only patient in the office. Dr. Patton has the best hygienists I have experienced- and I am a senior who has been treated by dozens during my life. In fact, the whole office staff is happy, friendly, and knowledgeable. (On my way out they cleared up an insurance question that I had). Dr. Patton is just the best.

As much as I used to hate dental appointments, Dr Patton and Dvorka are so wonderful that I no longer dread them and actually don't mind them anymore. Even if it's for something major like a crown. They make sure you're comfortable and nothing hurts, and they play great music at the office which makes me forget I'm at the dentist. The front desk staff is always warm, pleasant and happy so it's a welcoming experience from the start. Can't recommend this practice enough.

Dr Patton and every person on his staff made me feel very comfortable today. I hate going to the dentist and it couldnt of went any better. It was my first time there and they treated me like Ive been going for years. From the front desk to the staff in the back, every one went above and beyond making me comfortable and Dr Patton even put on my favorite music to help. These people are great! Dr. Bouffard and all the staff took such good care to treat my tooth pain, to explain what i need to do at home, and fit me in as an emergency patient.
