After attending undergraduate college at both Carroll College and Montana State (Bozeman), Jim earned a degree in Biology from MSU with cum laude honors. He traveled east to earn his dental degree from the University of Minnesota Dental School and graduated with honors in 1990.
When not working, Jim spends time chasing after his three very busy daughters. He enjoys singing in church and on occasion in local theater productions. His golf scores prove that he spends more time at work than on the golf course.
I was born and raised in Billings, MT and graduated from Billings West High School. My husband, three girls and I reside in Laurel, MT. I have worked with Dr. Patterson since 2002. My job is scheduling patients, answering phones, and handling accounts and insurance. I love spending time with my family and friends, as well as getting out on our motorcycle!
I enjoy working with Dr. Patterson, and working in the dental field. I enjoy our current patients and meeting new patients. The atmosphere in our office is professional, as well as relaxed. I love coming to work each day!
I was born and raised in Ronan, located in northwestern Montanas beautiful Mission Valley. I graduated from Ronan High School and moved to Bozeman where I attended Montana State University. Aer graduating from MSU, I moved to Billings where I now reside with my husband Pete and our three boys. They keep us on the run every day!
I joined Dr. Pattersons practice in April of 2015 and accepted the title of Hygiene Coordinator. My position requires me to keep our hygiene schedule full and since Sandy retired, I definitely have some big shoes to fill! I will carry on the tradition of calling you to make sure you keep up on your cleanings! It has been an absolute pleasure to work for Dr. Patterson as he is a wonderful person and always keeps us laughing! I look forward to meeting all of his patients in the years to come.
I have been a Dental Hygienist for 23 years. I grew up in Miles City, MT and attended MSU-Bozeman. I graduated with a BS in Exercise Science. I received my Dental Hygiene degree from Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, FL. I am married and have 2 children. In my spare time I enjoy camping, hiking, skiing, motorcycle riding and spending time with my family.
Kym is a Registered Dental Hygienist who attended Sheridan College and graduated from the hygiene program with her Associates Degree in 1996. Prior to her hygiene degree, she obtained her Dental Assistant Certification and worked many years as a chairside assistant in Montana and Washington State. In the dental office she is passionate about educating patients in the care of their oral health needs. Kym has experience in both the general and periodontal office settings.
I have been in the great field of dentistry for almost 33 years. I received my certification as a Dental Assistant from Sheridan, Wyoming and my Registered Dental Hygiene Degree from St. Petersburg, FL.
I received my dental hygiene degree in 2006 from MSU-Great Falls and started working at Dr. Pattersons office in 2007. I also received a B.S. in Biology from MSU-Billings and obtained a wealth of medical experience, having worked at St. Vincent Hospital for 10 years as an emergency room technician. I am licensed to administer local dental anesthesia and certified in CPR. I am the youngest male in a family of 20 children. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, as my home serves as one of the main gathering places for delicious home cooked Mexican meals. I enjoy working in my vegetable garden and sharing the harvest with friends and family. As a dental hygienist, I enjoy the instant gratification patients receive after getting their teeth cleaned. One of the things I like most about working at Dr. Pattersons office is being able to work with patients of all ages and offering them great dental care.

Dr. Patterson is wonderful, and the professional staff are great, but the front staff aren't great if you pay attention. Probably efficient, but there is an undertone. I was really turned off to hear the woman behind the front desk going on about how Trump actually won, despite all the proof to the contrary. It was entirely inappropriate. I voted for him too, but the truth is the truth and it makes me question their judgement. It was mostly the one who always sits closest to the door, but the other one was chiming in too. The same one nearest the door also got snippy before when a mistake was made on her part regarding my insurance. She is the one with the rude undertones. She especially makes me consider going elsewhere. The others are great, but the friendly demeanor at the door is false when you pay attention. Been going for a few years. They are the face and it's not great.

I had been with Dr. Patterson for over 20 years. They had a billing mix-up with an old address that caused them to send a bill to collections. They claim they called us multiple times but we didn't receive any calls and they didn't have any records of the calls. We have also received other bills from them at our new address just fine. We called them to figure out the issue and the blame was passed to us. We never had any issues until this but will be going elsewhere.

I have been going to him for over 20 years now, when he was still located downtown. Not only is he great at what he does, he always frames it in a way that lets you know what you HAVE to do now and what can wait. He never pushes procedures. The staff is always friendly and accomodating and I highly recommend Robert for teeth cleaning. If I had to come up with something negative to say, I could't think of it, and that more than anything says a lot to me.

I have been going to Dr. Patterson since we moved to Billings around 20 years ago. One of my daughters used to get such bad anxiety when she had an appointment with a dentist. Dr. Patterson was so gentle with her it was always a positive experience. I would recommend him to anyone, especially if they have anxiety about going to the dentist.
