Dr. Chip Patterson grew up in a dental family helping out at his fathers dental office in Toccoa, and knew early on that he was passionate about dentistry. He attended Young Harris and the University of Georgia before completing his dental degree at the Medical College of Georgia. He went on to complete a dental residency that put extra emphasis on surgical techniques and implant placement at the VA Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Patterson has a quick sense of humor and brings a fun atmosphere to the office. He is an active member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Patterson has a naturally energetic personality that keeps him constantly in motion either working on continuing education or on projects at the office! His best friend is a labradoodle named Sawyer who also loves to be on the go.
Dr. Koehler is bringing 40 years of private practice experience to our patients here in Clayton. He has held membership in the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, and Northern District Dental Society for 40+ years. He has also been a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists for over ten years. Dr. Koehler grew up in the College Park area, and pursued his education at UGA and the Medical College of Georgia. He was even able to steer his daughter into the profession he loves, as she is an orthodontist in Buford, GA. Dr. Koehler truly has a passion for his patients and his profession. Dr. Koehler and his wife, Beth, love to spend time on the lake during the summer, and cheer on Georgia when football rolls around in the fall!
Dr. Eleanor Patterson has been with our office for over five years. She has enjoyed every minute, getting to spend time with our patients and practice dentistry here. Dr. Eleanor and Dr. Chip have been blessed to have four daughters in the span of five years! Therefore, Dr. Eleanor will be stepping back from dentistry for the next 5-6 years to be at home and raise their girls. We wish Dr. Eleanor the best in getting some time to do the important job of being mom while her kids are little.

A million times over, this is the best dentist's office on the planet and the Pattersons are the best, gentlest, kindest people and dentists that you could ever hope to find. Adore the sweet and funny staff, their efficiency and the care they put into their jobs and each patient. And the TV's everywhere (even on the ceiling for when you lie back) with DIY & renovation shows to always have something positive to focus on, even if the process you're there for hurts. I'd give them 15 stars out of 5 if I could.

Dr. Patterson was extremely kind along with his dental hygienists and receptionists staff. They work with my schedules and make my daughter feel comfortable. I would 100% recommend them to be your family dentist.

I love Patterson family smiles! I drive an hour and a half to get my teeth cleaned because I don't want to go anywhere else. They do an amazing job and take care of you.

I have been going here for years! Lin is the best hygienist I've had and I come in for cleaning every six months. I chipped my tooth recently and when I called Becky, she set me up to come in right away. Chip took me right in and fixed it. I was in and out in twenty minutes! I asked about whitening my teeth and Dr. Koehler recommended bleaching. Lin told me of a special they were having in December so I went in to have impressions and can't wait to see the results! Everyone is great!

I went to Dr Chip Patterson for some dental work recently. And I am happy to report that his office has the same welcoming, friendly vibe that Doc Larry had. There still are many familiar faces and I really liked Dr. Chip. Even though I will always love and miss Dr. Gillespie , I'm glad there is a great young guy taking his place. And I look forward to meeting his wife soon.(as much as one can look forward to going to the denist) lol!

I would like to thank Dr. Chip Patterson from the bottom of my heart. And share my experience with oral cancer. I had never seen Dr. Patterson until my first appointment on May 9th, 2020. I had been having problems with a sore on my tongue. Dr. Chip Patterson made time for me even though we were in the middle of the Covid 19 epidemic. After his examination, he calmly and professionally explained to me of his concerns. He scheduled an appt. for me with an oral surgeon within two days. After the biopsy which confirmed what Dr. Patterson suspected, yes, it was in fact cancer, stage 4 cancer. If it were not for him, I would not be here today. So, thank you very much for saving my life Dr. Patterson! You definitely have earned these 5 stars and then some! Thank you ! Veronica Flannery- Burrell.
