Run don't walk. I'm giving this one star because Dr. Pattanayak's front desk clerk is very professional. My experience with Dr. Pattanayak on the other hand was less than desirable. She has a very curt and rude demeanor, lecturing me about my coverage (Denti-Cal) not being insurance. "Insurance is what you PAY for! What you have is NOT insurance!" she admonished. In actuality, many of us have paid a lot of money over the years in taxes to enjoy a temporary benefit during difficult times. Denti-Cal is indeed a form of insurance. To make matters worse, she wasn't able to get the floss out of my teeth (or was she...) as she insisted my teeth were too close together and that I needed INVISALINE. And she could sell me that...I floss every single day, have been seeing dentists for the good part of my 61 years on this planet and never have I ever had a dentist unable to floss my teeth. In the process of jerking up the floss she hurt my mouth and then in defensive mode insisted I must not floss all the way to the gums. She would be wrong. Now I ask, how is she going to fill the cavity between two teeth if she can't even manage with the floss? She then stated my "Denti-Cal" would only cover amalgam fillings and when I told her I prefer not to have toxic mercury in my teeth, that I would pay the difference for the composite she responded with, "What difference does it make, you have a mouth full of amalgam anyway!" She is extremely unprofessional and did I say RUDE? As a child, before they knew the toxic nature of mercury, dentists filled our teeth with amalgam, but as an adult on the occasion I need a filling I have only had composite...but I owe her no explanation. I wonder if she is boorish with all of her patients, or only those who have Denti-Cal, which she willingly accepts...and then once she gets you in her chair with your mouth open, she uses the opportunity to admonish and shame. Maybe it's cultural, maybe its her personality, or maybe she is just a really unfortunate dentist, but either way, shame on her.

When one is choosing a dentist, it can be nerve wrecking to say the least. Patt Dental care was professional and a detail explanation of procedures before it happens. I recently went in to have dental work done (cleaning, fillings, etc) couldn't be any more happier with the service she provides. Highly recommend for those who aren't sure who to go when it comes to dental care (like i was) no questions, great service hands-down.

Our whole family (family of 4)is been going with Dr.Patt .With Dental one have to check insurance before choosing any treatment, there is nothing as free treatment or anything free. Yes one have a choice to shop around, most important thing is read all details of your medical insurance and call prior to your appointment. Certain treatment/procedure not covered by insurance. I learnt all this over the time with all types of medical insurance. Dr.Patt has been very accomodative and also very reasonable compare to my past couple of dentist. I will definitely recommend her.

Dr. Pratt is currently treating me for a tooth extraction. I came from a different dentist whom I didn't feel comfortable with. Dr. Pratt was patient and kind to me, while I was freaking out in her office. Darn near hyperventilating. I was definitely crying. My extraction was painless (except for the initial needle to the gums for anesthesia). My only issue is how regulated her practice is and how she cannot prescribe much for pain. I am not like most people. My pain threshold is very low. So it was a bit stressful trying to get adequate pain medicine. But in the end she helped as much as she could. I'm going on for a follow up today. Unfortunately I think I may be experiencing a dry socket (of my own doing of course) and that means more pain for me. I do hope my pain can be accommodated. All in all I like Dr. Pratt. I've referred my mother here and will transfer my children's dental care to Dr. Pratt as well. Her prices are much better than other dentists and she is kind. Helping to ease you and make you feel strong and supported when she is working on nervous individuals. Thanks Dr. Pratt.

She declined free treatments and gave a reason that I need more advance treatment which will require out of pocket. Despite insurance regulated costs as per book, she asked for more than double fees. Since it was a choice, we declined the treatment. This happened to all 3 of us in family. I suggest AVOID visiting her clinic.

I went to Patt Dental Care for second opinion since my tooth was hurting me and my dentist told me to get Root canal and crown. Dr Patt advised me to go for only filling and wait for Root canal. It just worked fine. I am in no pain since I saw her. She saved me couple of thousands $$. I will go to her for my future Needs. Thanks Dr Patt!
