Dr. Gochar, a native of Maryland, attended Mount Saint Joseph High School, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington and Lee University and graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School. He opened his dental practice in Clarksville, MD in 1999 with a goal to deliver dental care at the highest level available. He moved his practice to Maple Lawn in 2015. Dr. Gochar has continued to pursue advanced dental training. He is a scholar of the Dawson Academy in St. Petersburg, FL. Dr. Gochar was awarded accreditation status from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in 2013. Dr. Gochar is the first accredited cosmetic dentist in Howard County and only the 9th dentist in the state of Maryland to have achieved this recognition. Dr. Gochar has been an active member of the American Equilibration Society since 2005. Dr. Gochar has had the privilege of using his dental talents while serving on mission trips to Honduras. Dr. Gochar lives in Clarksville with his wife, two sons and two daughters. His interests include spending time with his family, music, photography and sports (running, skiing, lacrosse, racquet sports).

The Dawson Academy is dedicated to teaching the principles and skills necessary for the successful practice of complete, quality, predictable dentistry with primary concentrations in occlusion, the temporomandibular joints and comprehensive esthetic restorative dentistry. Dr. Gochar is a Dawson Academy Scholar which means he has completed the entire core curriculum offered by The Dawson Academy. Dr. Gochar first attended courses at The Dawson Academy in 1998.

Not often but every once-in-a-while you come across a "no-brainer." Dr. Gochar and his colleagues - Martha and Dara - are a no-brainer. Dr. Gochar is as good as they come insofar as his dentistry -- top-shelf. What makes one's experience superb is the fact that Dr. Gochar, Martha, Dara are sincere, compassionate, thoughtful, all the while enjoying each other's company and laughter. Several years ago, I was in the need of a significant amount of dentistry -- no disputing this -- I made initial visits to Dr. Gochar and two other dentists in the area. Their recommendations for treatment were fairly consistent. I chose to pursue things with Dr. Gochar -- yes, he's deliberate, he takes his time and he's methodical.....but what do you want in a dentist?.....my smile is the best part of my looks now :)

Dr. Gochar is an amazing dentist who takes pride in the details of his work, strives for perfection & does an outstanding job. He has done amazing work on the teeth of my family members. You won't be disappointed. You are in good hands here. Excellent service & an amazing staff. It's a very clean office. I always feel at home & completely satisfied during my visits. I recently learned that many people on the next door app are also his clients. Now that's saying something!

I needed to find a new dentist after mine had retired. Dr. Gochar is awesome! He is warm, caring and treats his patients as people and not just numbers. Dr. Gochar is great. I hadn't been to the dentist in about 3-4 years and went to Dr. Gochar's office. I had a couple of fillings put in and you can't even see them! I was also encouraged to floss a bit more regularly (whoops) and everything is in great shape now. Martha and Amanda at the front desk are always quick to respond and help with scheduling as well.
