Dr. Patil is a Board-Certified Orthodontist, working in both Erie and Longmont. He is known for his high quality, highly effective treatment and efficient results. With his aesthetic eye, Dr. Patil combines the artistry of sculpting smiles with the precision and science of creating healthy smiles. He works meticulously to align teeth with the healthiest gum and bone support, coordinating the best jaw joint position with the best dental fit and sustainable results. Dr. Patil recognizes each patient's unique jaw, cheeks, and face, and he wholly customizes and fine-tunes treatment to meet individual needs and maximize beauty.
Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Dr. Patil received his Bachelor of Science in Child Psychology. He then earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Iowa. His research on anxiety, stress and fear in patients during dental treatment has been internationally published. He has received multiple scholarships and awards for his clinical skills, academic excellence, and teaching.
Dr. Patil has been creating beautiful smiles for 25 years! He practiced as a Family and Cosmetic Dentist in Denver for 12 years. Dr. Patil then completed a three-year orthodontic residency, receiving a Master of Science and Dental Orthodontic Specialty Certification at the University of Oklahoma. His graduate research was on understanding biological bone effects of orthodontics using Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT). He continues to work to preserve natural teeth and bone, respecting the unique features of each patients individual jaw, cheeks, and face. Dr. Patil is passionate about giving people more self confidence, better health, and undeniably amazing results.

We are thankful for Dr. Patil- he and his team see my kids as whole people instead of being just concerned with their mouth. This, is in my experience, is a rare find in dentists and orthodontists and so important for my neuro divergent kiddo and my other kiddo with a lot of dental fear.

Couldn't be happier with how my teeth turned out after going to Dr. Patil! I had an atrocious overbite and immense gaps between my teeth, but now everything fits perfectly and my smile looks amazing!

My oldest completed his braces in April and his teeth are amazing! He had some issues that were time sensitive, not just cosmetic, and the Patil team did a great job of creating a beautiful smile. We are starting treatment with his brother and are very excited to see the results.

We started bringing our oldest to Patil Orthodontics when he had just turned 5. I had been researching various orthodontists around town and was surprised at the poor first impressions of most of them; Web 1.0 websites, pdf intake forms, limited info about the practice, etc... As a potential customer searching for a cutting-edge, modern practitioner, it makes you wonder how seriously they take their own continuing education when they neglect their practices online presence. By stark contrast, Patil's initial intake experience was really impressive. We took pictures of our son's teeth, uploaded them via a guided intake and received a call-back the next day with next steps for setting up a consult. Another example would be the Grin technology that they introduced during the pandemic. It's a handy mouth scope that attaches to your mobile device so that you can take video of your teeth and automatically upload them to their portal, saving you all those 20 minute check-up visits; game-changer! We've been patients for 2.5 years now and I am pleased to report that they run a tight ship and the results show. If a 5 year old can wear a face mask every night for a year, have braces at 6, have a tooth exposure surgery at 7 and a second one this month, and still not mind going to the Ortho, you know they're doing things right.

Dr. Patil's entire office is top notch. From office communications to staff professionalism to the layout of each room, no detail is overlooked. The fact that the orthodontist loves leveraging cutting-edge tech and the latest approaches is great too!
