Dr. Michele C. Paterno, DMD, MSD has been practicing orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics since 1992. She is a Board Certified Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry and Master of Science in Dentistry. Dr. Paterno advocates for continued education and offers CE credit courses throughout the year for dentists, hygienist and assistants.
Dr. Paterno also works with the Cleft Palate Center at Cooper Hospital as a member of the cleft palate team through the Southern New Jersey Regional Cleft/Craniofacial Program. Her team takes part in helping the children get ready for surgical procedures, the overall care of the patients and their continued oral health care.

We now have the VATECH Dental X-Ray machine the world's first all-in-one clinical imaging system. Digital scanning is the newest technology available, and we are among the first orthodontists in the country to get it. Our office is open to emergency services 24/7 to our currentorthodontic patients. Paterno Orthodontics is all about providing a fun environment.
You will see disinfection and sterilization practices being thoroughly carried out to maintain a safe environment for our patients. Our sterilization equipment is monitored regularly and the importance of hand washing, gloves and masks that are worn during procedures is evident. We also strive to treat each patient with respect and privacy.

I was told by one place that I had no other options for braces and I had to go with the old school metal/wire braces...I took another opinion and called paterno orthodontist.....and omg I love them here...I am fully qualified for invisalign...front desk staff is extremely helpful with every thing. They go above and beyond to get it done...

Dr Paterno and her staffs are wonderful!!!! My daughter is always happy after her visit every single time. They were so caring and nice, took their time to answer all our questions.My daughter said It doesn't matter who is taking care of her because they all so nice. Love it there

We have been seeing Dr. Paterno for a few years now as my son needed Phase I and now Phase II orthodontic work. The office staff are friendly and Dr. Paterno is always warm and welcoming. The office is clean and their Covid protocol make for a safe environment during these crazy times. We will definitely be bringing our other children to Dr. Paterno in the future.

Doctor Paterno is an inpatient rude and loud mouthed woman. She screamed aggressively at my mother who was simply trying to understand her contract. Which is difficult to understand since we are going through workers compensation. She has a terrible temper and made me have a panic attack which accompanied with my anxiety disorder and fear of doctors made me hyperventilate. She was also extremely rude and loud when talking to our insurance company provider didn't let anyone speak but herself. I left her office in tears after she screamed at my mother once again. Needless to say I won't be returning to this office. Doctor Paterno shows no compassion or remorse and should be paying for my therapy!

Even though I am now and have been for 17 year an employee for Dr.Paterno's I started off as one of her patients! I had expanders, went through partial braces, a full set, and then Invisalign a few years ago as an adult. Not only did I just love her as my orthodontist but she made me laugh and feel so comfortable at my appointments that when I was old enough to work I reached out to her for a job! She is amazing at what she does! We all care about our patients so much! And I am so lucky and grateful that my mom chose her as my orthodontist! She is the reason I wanted to be in the dental field and I love being a dental assistant!

I had braces on for about two years. Dr. Paterno is not only kind, understanding, funny & patient, but she is very professional. Super grateful for the amazing experience I had. The staff is amazing & wonderful. Kat & Shelly are awesome! Highly recommend them!

I have seen Dr. Paterno for over 10 years and throughout that time she has been excellent. She has always provided knowledgeable information, added a good amount of humor and has been nothing but a delight to visit every time I have an appointment. I honestly couldn't recommend her enough and so thankful to have her as my tooth alignment guardian angel.

This office is great. They deal well with kids and was able to make my daughter feel relaxed and told her everything that was going on. DR. Paterno made her smile and laugh and that is a huge deal!
