Hi, my name is JD and I am the Practice Administrator. I am also the husband to the Doctor, however that does not get me any special treatment here. I joined the team shortly after Dr. Patera passed away suddenly in 2003 and continued to manage the practice while Dr. Parks finished dental school and transitioned into full time dentist. I have an accounting degree from Iowa State University and have taken my MBA classes at the University of Phoenix. I have over 13 years of experience in the accounting and tax industry and have management projects with some of bests companies in the country. Dr. Parks and I currently live in Ida Grove with our 4 children, Isabella, Andrew, Joshua, and Samuel. I enjoy sports of all kinds, but mostly enjoy a couple of rounds of golf every week. I also am a avid fan of Iowa State Football and wrestling and travel to as many games and meets as possible. If there is anything that we can do for you, please contact me directly.

I haven't been to the dentist in 8 or 9 maybe 10 months and I received a bill from a collection agency for $55 after not ever receiving a bill from the company. I called and asked them about the bill and why I had never received one and and they stated that a basic bill was charged me when I had a tooth filled and there was extra charges and they overlooked sending the bill to me so I paid this not wanting to have a dentist bill in collections only to get an itemized statement from the dentist which I requested and I find out on the itemized statement that the $55 was charged from a missed appointment back in July... So don't ever miss an appointment because they will charge you and send it to collections without you ever receiving a bill
