Founded in 1974, Teche Action Clinic was Louisianas very first Federally Qualified Clinic. Over the course of four and a half decades, we have made it our mission to provide high-quality services to patients all throughout the region.

To emphasize how strongly we care about creating close ties with the communities we serve, our organization is governed by a board of directors that consists of community volunteers, with 51 percent of the membership made up of clinic users.

Weve built our reputation on making these services accessible to people of all income and insurance levels. We offer affordable services with sliding scale payments and payment plans to make sure that our high-quality healthcare is available to everyone who needs them.

Patients will receive care from a designated primary care clinician who works in tandem with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care across multiple specialties. This allows us to create a thorough treatment plan for our patients, better overall service and an experience that feels more like a partnership than most standard healthcare models.

The Mission of Teche Action Board, Inc. is to continually improve its ability to identify and eliminate the unique health disparities of the residents of St. Mary, Terrebonne, St. John, Lafourche, St. James, and Assumption Parishes. The residents of those parishes and surrounding areas will be provided safe, quality, culturally competent, comprehensive primary and preventive health care services, regardless of race, ethnic origin, age, sex, religion, or ability to pay.

Teche Action Board, Inc. will become the leader in the delivery of safe, quality comprehensive primary and preventive health care that will be recognized and acknowledged on a local, state, and national level. We will be known as a caring, culturally competent, community responsive institution where all who seek health services shall come. We will have a caring, sensitive staff and a barrier-free facility in which to provide these services, and at the end of the day, both patients and staff will know that they have been well served and satisfied.

Teche Action Clinic is a private, non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center accredited by the Joint Commission as a Primary Care Medical Home. Teche Action Clinic is also an FTCA deemed organization.
