I can't say enough good things about this dental office!! I recently moved from another state where I was seeing my dentist regularly. This was the first time I came to this office and I didn't realize until now how wonderful an experience going to the dentist could be! They listen to all your concerns, answer all your questions and explain everything they do. They make you feel very comfortable and at ease. When they work on your teeth you don't feel a thing. I also have no fears regarding my safety or of Covid. All their safety equipment is up to date and new. They even have this vacuum system that sucks any germs out of the room! Every dentist should have this. I would highly recommend this dental office.

Dr. Richard Richter is not only a brilliant dentist, but he is kind and deeply cares about his patients. He has helped me tremendously in the past. I went in for a root canal two years ago, they had everything set up, and when he was about to start it he said "I'm not convinced this is what needs to be done and I don't want to do an unnecessary procedure. Let's see if it gets better." Well- it did! Two years later and no root canal needed. He used his expertise to do what was best for me rather than going ahead with what was already planned. This showed his true wisdom of his craft and also care for me as a patient. He also painlessly filled other cavities I had- I've never had a painless experience at a dentist. Most recently, he took my call at 3:30 am as I was having complications with my gum during a high risk pregnancy. He gave me advice on how to stop the bleeding, personally checked in with me every couple of hours to make sure I was doing better, and got me in with a great oral surgeon the next morning. He then followed up with me in his office and came up with a treatment plan. I have always had anxiety going to the dentist, but that fear has since been alleviated. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Richter's professionalism, skill, wisdom, and most importantly, true care and kindness for his patients. I highly, highly recommend him!

Was referred by a friend to Dr. Richter after I experienced lock jaw for two days. And honestly, he was a lifesaver who helped with my TMJ symptoms. Unfortunately, he's not in net work for me and is a little far from where I live. Otherwise, I would go to him for all my dental needs.

I look forward to my appointments at Patchogue and Hampton Family Dental because they are always so welcoming and friendly. More importantly, they are helpful, caring and do a great job. They use the latest equipment and keep me informed about my teeth and gums. I am comfortable knowing they make sterilization and cleanliness a priority as well as keeping my smile at its best!

I knew they were a great group of dentists and hygienists, but I didn't realize just how good they were until I moved and had to pick a new dentist. Not only is the staff skilled and friendly, but I never felt any pain post visit, from cleaning to root canal. Dr. Richter was even accommodating enough to see my wife in an emergency with no appointment on a Saturday. My current dentist even commented on how good my fillings were, they were having trouble identifying which teeth had fillings! I don't even know how there are any other dentists in business on eastern Long Island. If your not going here why are you putting yourself through that?

I had my first dental cleaning in the Covid19 era. Dr Richter's office was upgraded with everything needed to make me feel safe. Katie did her usual wonderful cleaing and the experience could not have been better.

Everyone at PATCHOGUE family dental couldn't make the unpleasant experience of going to the dentist great. They provide COMPLETE dental care ,if you need any dental work done I HIGHLY recommend them!!

I highly recommended Patchogue Family Dental, Dr. Richard, Richter, as the dentist for you and your family. Exceptional knowledge and experience along with having the latest state-of-the-art equipment in-house to better detect and provide exceptional oral health care. My oral health is his number one priority - he alerted me to the tiniest cavities that other dentists over 5 years never told me about. Besides providing outstanding care, they are caring people.

Dr. Richter and his team have been absolutely amazing! I highly recommend!! I had really bad TMJ pain flare up back in February 2019. I tried numerous things to try to help my pain - chiropractor, acupuncturist, etc. I was also going through numerous medications trying to see what could help my pain. I finally went to Dr. Richter in April 2019 and he helped me get right on track. He had me see a neurologist and an ENT to rule out other issues it could have been. I ended up having TMD. Dr. Richter made me mouth guards and showed me some exercises to do daily for my jaw. After months of horrible, chronic pain, by July 2019 I was 90% better and almost completely pain free! I have also stopped taking all medications. Dr. Richter has been so supportive and helpful through everything. Please go to him if you are having any TMJ or TMD issues! He, and his awesome team, will work with you to make sure your pain is taken care of!

I came to Dr. Richter over 20 years ago with so many damaged teeth that I was sure I was headed for full upper and lower bridges. Instead, today I have a healthy mouth and compliments from strangers about my beautiful smile, which I always point out isn't mine, but Dr. Richter's. :-) He's especially sensitive to the concerns of cowards such as myself, and is always current with the latest techniques and treatments. Everyone in the office is an encyclopedia of dentistry, and they're also the most welcoming, compassionate staff I've ever known. I can't emphasize strongly enough...this is THE dental practice for you. Don't think twice. Just go.

I would highly recommend Dr. Richard Richter, Dr. Alex Richter and the wonderful staff at Patchogue and Hampton Family Dental. They are warm, friendly and compassionate. I have very sensitive teeth and gums and the hygienists make the experience painless and comfortable. They have truly improved the condition of my teeth and gums. Dr. Richard Richter is an incredible dentist, he takes the time to explain procedures and is always gentle, kind and extremely knowledgeable. He is truly gifted in his field. Dr. Richter is always innovative and has the latest technology. I've also recently seen Dr. Alex Richter and she is professional, yet personable and really cares about my health and happiness. She takes the time to explain everything. I love Patchogue and Hampton family Dental, they truly care about their patients and their care.

Dr. Richter and his staff are warm and welcoming. Dr. Richter always answers my questions and is so competent:). He takes care of my whole family from my children to my elderly mother to my in-laws!
