Dr. Pasternak has provided the highest quality dental care since 1977. After graduating from the University Of Southern California School Of Dentistry, He achieved the distinction of becoming a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. This is an honor bestowed upon less than one-half of one percent of all dentists in the United States.
Dr. Pasternak Maintains professionals membership with the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the San Fernando Valley Dental Society and the American College of Forensic Examiners.
Dr. Pasternak has a thirst of knowledge that enables him to provide the newest techniques of care. While the State of California requires dentist to take a minimum of 25 hours of continuing education courses every year to maintain licensure, he routinely attends well over 200 hours of courses every year. This commitment to continuous learning keeps the entire team on the leading edge of dentistry. Dr. Pasternak has been actively involved in the Chatsworth community since he established the practice nearly forty years ago. He currently volunteers with several charitable organizations, including Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, the National Spit Tobacco Education Program, and Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids Foundation.
Dr. Pasternak is a lifetime member of the Chamber of Commerce and in the past has served as the Founding President of the Kiwanis Club of Chatsworth, a member of Local 105 of the Selective Service Board, a member of the Board of Director of the Chatsworth Business Improvement District.
Permanent teeth will begin to grow around age 6, and except for wisdom teeth, are all present between ages 12 and 14. The next teeth to grow in are the 12-year molars and finally the wisdom teeth. Wisdom teeth typically begin breaking through from age 17 and on. The total number of permanent teeth is 32, though few people have room for all 32 teeth. This is why wisdom teeth are usually removed.
Your front teeth are called incisors. The sharp fang-like teeth are canines. The next side teeth are referred to as pre-molars or bicuspids, and the back teeth are molars. Your permanent teeth are the ones you keep for life, so it is vital that they are brushed and flossed regularly and that periodic check-ups by a dentist are followed.

Dr. Pasternak goes out of his way to give you the best possible care. He is honest, caring, and kind. He is very patient in explaining everything beforehand. I always feel like I am in good hands. His receptionist, Diana, is excellent. She has a positive and joyful spirit and is always willing to accommodate changing appointments and explain the different insurance charges.

I have been a client of this Dentist for nearly 14 years. He and the staff treat me as a friend, not just a customer! They truly care about my teeth and at 70 years old, I can still smile with my own teeth!

I've had such a great experience with Dr. Pasternak's team. After covid and a relocation I had been sitting on a infected cracked tooth for more than 8 months. They were very kind, thorough, worked hard to make everything work for me. I appreciate all of the care I received, and more than anything the extremely kind and caring help from Diane with appointments, billing, and helping me understand processes, etc.

If you looking for a professional exam on your teeth, this is the not right place to go. Instead, you will be forsed to listen all aincestory history on Dr.Pasternak's family and answering questions about your personal life and place your were born and political staff. After that you will end up with paying 85$ for visit, which even doesn't includ full mouth exam. Never will be back.!! Waist of time, money and energy. Only one good thing- the office has two beautiful girls on reception. But I am not a guy to pay for a beautiul eyes. Indeed, its possible too, but not in the dental office.

In addition to being a great dentist, he is a wonderful person who has a great, if somewhat esoteric, sense of humor. He is compassionate and has great empathy. The staff, without exception, is great. Laura is the best hygienist I've ever had! And Kim is a great addition to the front desk. I highly recommend Dr. Pasternak.
