Dr. Passes is a dental renaissance man. How you ask? He has developed the clinical applications for one of the lasers in the dentistry field as well as pioneered treatment for dental phobia. Just see how some of our patients have overcome their fear of going to the dentist and joined The Hive!

Dr. Passes has been the North Shore communitys trusted cosmetic and general dentist since 1975 and always thinks outside the box with his solutions for challenges that patients face. He has presented technologically advanced treatment concepts to dentists throughout the world as well. You can even find him on Long Islands Cablevision in one of his over 500 television shows that he has produced and hosted.

Periodontology and Implantology are ever-evolving which is why it is imperative to Dr. Tsiokos to stay abreast by attending numerous continuing education courses. He aspires to not only know as much as possible about periodontal disease, but to understand its causes as well. His continuous studying allows him to administer the most advanced treatments to our patients.

After completing his undergraduate studies at Yeshiva University, Dr. Schiff graduated from New York University College of Dentistry with honors in head and neck anatomy and oral pathology. He then completed an additional year of rigorous training through a residency at Jamaica Hospital.

Dr. Schiff is constantly involved in continuing education programs to provide his patients with the most up-to-date care possible. He has completed 400 hours of additional training in implant dentistry at NYU and is awaiting conferral of fellowship in the prestigious Academy of General Dentistry. Blessed with a warm sense of humor and affable nature, he compliments Dr. Passes style of patient interaction.

We are proud to announce that Dr. Temkin has officially joined our practice! Dr. Temkin is extremely excited to be part of the Passes Dental Care family, having been a longtime friend and colleague to Dr. Passes for years. Dr. Temkin specializes in Sleep Breathing Disorders, as well as general and cosmetic dentistry. He has been helping patients with snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea for over a dozen years and has treated thousands of patients to sleep better, breathe better, and be quiet bed partners!

Dr. Temkin graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. From there, he worked at several dental facilities before launching his own independent practice thirty years ago. Sleep medicine has now elevated his schedule to travel to physicians and dental offices to care for their sleep patients throughout Long Island, Brooklyn, Queens, and Westchester.

On a personal note, Dr. Temkin has two children in college. His son Jake is a hockey player who transferred from Towson University to SUNY Farmingdale during the Covid pandemic. His daughter Mia is a sophomore at SUNY Binghamton.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Temkin enjoys sports. He still competes in Ice Hockey, Hardball, and Tennis. He also loves cooking and music; having played piano, the keyboard, and guitar since his youth. Fun fact: He has also performed at the Laughing Buddha in Manhattan doing standup comedy pre-pandemic!

Our staff is well trained and highly skilled, and we have years of experience in treating patients with the highest continuing level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the latest in technological advances by regularly attending education courses and seminars.

Tanasia is the Patient Care Coordinator at Passes Dental Care and boy are we lucky to have her! Her kind, compassionate and understanding nature is perfect for when patients call the office. When Tanasia is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with friends and family by creating new memories. Every day she is at Passes Dental Care she expresses her joy and excitement when patients react to their new, healthy smiles!

For more than a decade, Meena functioned as a clinical assistant in our dental operatories and is now our Financial Care Coordinator. With a sound fundamental background in patient finances as well as a history in clinical patient dental care, Meena is exceptionally capable in understanding out patients needs and creating various ways to afford their much needed treatment. As a mother of two sweet children and a wife, she has the compassion and kindness to exhibit listening, caring and explaining to each and every patient. Meenas attention to detail ensures your quality of care is never compromised.

Justin is our Insurance Coordinator at Passes Dental Care. When he is not on the phone with insurance companies at the office, he is training for competitive powerlifting. His genuine nature in providing patients with quality service is incomparable; he does the best that he can to get the most for our patients from their insurance companies. Justin also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from York College.

Jane M. is one of our Dental Hygienists at Passes Dental Care. She attended Farmingdale State College and received her degree in dental hygiene. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her fianc, Kevin, and their adorable puppy. She views her role within the office as that of a preventative therapist; she genuinely enjoys the connections she makes with our patients and hopes to promote better oral health care using patient education.

LaVanda is our compassionate, hand-holding, nurturing dental assistant who truly demonstrates care about each and every patient. LaVanda is well aware that some patients have a fear of dentistry and its surrounding atmosphere, and that is why we are proud to say that LaVanda goes that extra mile to make sure you are comfortable and relaxed!

Marlyn is one of our sweet, loving, and caring Dental Assistants. She has been in the dental field as a dental assistant for over 18 years. Outside of work, Marlyn enjoys time with friends and family. She loves to dance, swim, watch movies and ride bikes. One of her goals that she is extremely passionate about is to be able travel and experience more life, as well as different cultures.

Theresa is one of our most compassionate and warm dental assistants at Passes Dental Care. Outside of working within the office, she is also a wife and mother to two beautiful girls. Theresa is also passionate about cooking and dogs! Before Theresa became a dental assistant, she worked in the retail industry for 16 years.

Marji is the fuel that makes our office run smoothly. She administers all the behind-the-scenes financial matters, as well as keeping the office beautifully decorated for every season as our Master Decorator. She is also Dr. Passes beautiful, smart, and talented wife and the mother of their two sons. While she is not in the office, Marji enjoys cooking, traveling, and taking time to relax from the fast-paced environment.

Tiffany works within our Marketing division at Passes Dental Care. Previously, she was our Patient Care Coordinator, but after welcoming her second child, Jayce, she continues to bring her creativity to the office through marketing. Tiffany graduated from Nassau Community College with Cum Laude Honors, received her Bachelors of Arts in History at Hofstra University, and her Masters of Science in Social Studies Education at Hofstra University. When not in the office, Tiffany is a high school social studies teacher and enjoys spending time with her husband and two wonderful boys.
