was raised in the Bronx and graduated from the Bronx High School of Science. After completing his undergraduate studies at NYU, Dr. Spagnesi attended NYU School of Dentistry obtaining his doctoral degree in 1976. Dr. Spagnesi has been providing dental care for the Emerson community since 1982. When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Spagnesi enjoys biking and restoring cars.
obtained his doctorate degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. He then completed a general practice residency program at Hackensack University Medical Center, where he received advanced training in surgical and restorative dentistry. Dr. Salizzoni is trained in the latest dental technologies and techniques and is committed to delivering the highest quality care in a comfortable manner. In addition to all phases of general dentistry, Dr. Salizzoni is Invisalign certified and provides Oral Appliance Therapy for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. Originally from Bergen County New Jersey, Dr. Salizzoni is an active member of The Academy of General Dentistry, The New Jersey Dental Association and The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Salizzoni and his wife Krista currently reside in Hoboken NJ, where they enjoy spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Phil and his staff are truly the best! I've been coming here for many years now as well as my family - everyone is welcoming, friendly and professional. Never a wait to see any of the hygienists and always a pain-free experience. Dr. Phil is the kindest, most calm, reassuring dentist who will no doubt transform your smile :-)

I first met Dr Spagnisi when our sons were in the third grade and I started getting my dental work from him. The boys are now 32 and I still have Phil as my dentist. His work is not only excellent but his ability to never hurt you....yes pain free.....is a very big plus. His staff are always professional and friendly. I am so pleased with my dental care that even though I have moved out of Bergen county I still make the hour drive to Emerson for check ups and more extensive dental work because I trust his ability.

My family has been going to PVD for over 15 years. The staff has always been so friendly and has taken care of our kids since they were toddlers and now they are young adults. Recently, I had the chance to get Invisalign through PVD and I will have to say just amazing! Overall process from the timing, to improvement in smile and wonders to your teeth...if you have a chance ask...it was a great decision!

Dr. Spagnesi and the staff are phenomenal! I've had some harrowing dental experiences in the past and had major anxiety about ever waking into a dentist's office. Now, I have a confident, new smile and it's a complete life changer. Dr. Spagnesi not only provides exceptional treatment, he listens to your concerns, goals, and everyone in the office is incredibly friendly and makes you feel welcomed. I'm so glad I booked my first appointment with them.

I've been going to Pascack Valley Dental for the last 5 years. Dr. Philip Spagnesi and Dr. Craig Salizzoni are such amazing doctors. They are both extremely patient, very calming & ever so caring. They go above and beyond to make you comfortable. In fact, I can honestly say I just had a root canal there today performed by Dr. Craig. I was completely amazed by how quick & painless it was that I told Dr. Craig it was by far the best root canal I ever had. Even their dental assistants, hygienists & administrative staff are all so welcoming and accommodating. The level of service provided by Pascack Valley Dental all-around is Excellent & I highly recommend them.

I honestly don't know where to start. Dr. Spagnesi and Dr. Salizzoni saved my life. In every sense of the word- no dramatics here; my teeth were all misshapen, broken and very severely damaged. First off, I'm a army vet and anyone who has been in the army knows what they do when you go in. Needless to say, I only had one dentist when I came out as a civilian and he literally just took my money and ran. Always a temporary fix, never a solution. Often times I was in pain too! It came to the point where I could barely eat with so many what ifs and the unknown of whether or not I was going to be without at any given moment. I ate like a bird, couldn't eat ice cream (or anything cold for that matter), it just wasn't a way of life. I knew I needed to do something, so after so much debacle and waiting, I saw one other dentist a good friend recommended and all it took was one visit and I was worse off than I was before! Needless to say, I had a very good healthy fear of the dentist! I think that is a severe understatement but I believe Dr. Salizzoni can attest to that as well! I remember sitting in the parking lot of Pascack Valley Dental crying from embarrassment, afraid to go in. I walked through the door like a scared little lamb. They welcomed me in right away and kept saying "it's ok, we'll take care of you". Mind you, Everyone has said that to me and I didn't know how to trust again. Every single concept of this process was so daunting, I didn't know if I could do it, and yet Dr. Salizzoni was the most amazing, gentle and compassionate dentist I have ever had the pleasure of being a patient of. They reconstructed my entire mouth with such ease. I had a multitude of tasks that needed to be done, it was hard to determine which fire to put out first, but they did it no problem! My last visit, I sat in the chair for 6 1/2 hours, and again, no pain. I cried from being so overwhelmed and couldn't believe the amazing smile I had. I was finally able to smile, not smirk, smile and not hide my teeth! From that day forward I swore I would never hide my smile in pictures every again! They worked with me in every way because I surely couldn't afford it all at once and they were so amazing! I was there for countless visits and was never once in pain, (like I had been in the past)! He knows what he is doing, I never even felt the needle! My husband also experienced his first cavity at 37, he saw the same past dentist I saw and was not only in pain but immediately Feared the dentist too. Once I met Dr. Salizzoni, My husband knew if I came home without pain, he was great! He is 6.2", 300 lbs and Dr. Salizzoni fixed him right up. For a bigger man, he was unsure of the pain and ability to help ease it, but again, Dr. Salizzoni worked his magic! He loves him just the same! My father in law just lost his crown and post (also a vet and experience some crazy dentists); Dr. Salizzoni fit him in 1-2 days later and fixed him that same day in less than an hour. No pain and completely effortless! I can't express how much we love Pascack Valley Dental; they are the absolute best and I will never go anywhere else! From the Amazing office staff to the hygienist's; they are absolutely undeniably the greatest practice ever (and believe me, I've had some bad ones). I truly I love how they make me feel so safe. I have never "wanted" to go to the dentists ever in my life and with them, I look forward to going back! They are truly the best, I feel like they are family!

I've been coming to this practice since I moved to NJ 34 years ago. The dentists and staff are very personable and accommodating. Over time I have changed all my doctors but not my dentist.
