Dr. Dip Desai received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry in 2009. He has extensive general practice training at a Level 1 Trauma Center in New York City. In 2010, he was selected as Chief Resident at St. Barnabas Hospital. While in residency, Dr Desai came to realize that orthodontics was his true passion. He went on to complete his advanced training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Since then, he has been certified as a member of the American Board of Orthodontics Certified, the Texas Orthodontic Study Club and the American Association of Orthodontics. Before settling in Austin, he practiced in New York, Bryan, Waco, Victoria, Killeen and San Antonio. Aside from dentistry, Dr. Desai loves traveling, swimming, cooking and spending time with his girlfriend and their puppy Hazel.
Alana loves her chosen profession of orthodontic assisting because of the patient interaction and helping people achieve the smile that they are looking for. Her hobbies include mountain biking, fishing at the coast, and karaoke. Alana is a native Texan and she grew up near Austin but in 2017 she chose to make Austin her home and absolutely loves it here.
Hi there! My name is Socorro and I am one of the Dental Assistants here at Parmer Lane Orthodontics. When not in the office I am at school, spending time with my family or enjoying some time with our family pet Cookie. Our favorite place to go is Starbucks to get her puppy whip and my favorite frappuccino.

Dr. Desai and his staff are amazing! Each of them show genuine care and concern for their patients. They work with you when your schedule changes and you need to change appointment times. They work to get you in and out quickly and do all that they can to make sure their patients have a pleasurable experience. I highly recommend Parmer Lane Orthodontics! I have absolutely no complaints about this office!

Dr. Desai is very professional and very patient. He will tell us about the changes and precautions of our teeth every time. There was no unpleasantness in the whole process and the correction process was relatively painless.

I went in to have them check the work of my previous orthodontist. Even though my teeth were fixed by someone else, they were very quick and helpful and provided a lot of great information and guidance. Local quality establishments like this are hard to come by nowadays, and I'd happily go back to them or recommend them to anyone in the future.

Needed a retainer asap ! My dog ate my retainer the day I was leaving to Austin for a trip. I called Parmer Lane orthodontics to see if they could make me one. Never been there before but they were able to schedule me FOR THE NEXT MORNING to make them and within 4 days I received my retainer ! Very satisfied and happy with the quality of the staff and scheduling !

I highly recommend this dental office! Dr. Desai is very involved in the treatments, from the beginning of talking and getting to know my kiddo to getting the braces on. I know he cares about his work because he even called to check up on my daughter after getting her expander placed. I've never had a doctor call to ask if everything was going good. Thank you for caring and making us feel welcome.

Dr Desai was very attentive & thorough to check and to fix my upper retainer when I visited Parmer Lane Orthodontics last week. He was very knowledgeable and he figured out what to fix right away. The office and practice areas were new and clean and the staff was very kind. They followed Covid 19 protocol well. It was my first time visiting this office and I was expecting some repair fee or office visit charge. However, Dr. Desai said it was free of charge. I was so grateful & glad that I have selected Dr. Desai. I recommend Dr. Desai.

Absolutely knowledgeable, but the best-best part was/is the chair-side manners, makes you feel like more than just a patient the moment you enter the office. Fantastic outcome to say the least. I would not hesitate to have my own family members going to see Dr. D!!!!

A great friendly and clean environment! The doctor listened to my concerns about my teeth and gave me a solution. He made sure I understood all the steps and answered the questions I had with detail! I didn't feel lost in what was going on at all! Great place definitely would recommend to everyone!

Prices are not based on a set fee rather more professionally prices are based on an accurate quote given by the doctor who will assess everything that will need to be done during your treatment. Dr. Dip Desai also offers payment plans with 0% interest and no late fees. I recommend scheduling a consultation if youre even in the slightest bit interested. Consultations and X-Rays are all complimentary so in the worst case scenario you'll walk out with free information!

My permanent retainer tore in the middle part of my teeth! My normal Ortho specialist scheduled me out a month and a half. I was able to see Dr. Dip Desai a week after it happened. He was great and gave me options to fix the issue! He also answered all of my questions. I will definitely recommend Parmer Lane Orthodontics!

I had an emergency situation where my front tooth fell out the day before an interview. I just moved to Austin and was struggling to find someone with the expertise to correctly fix my tooth. Dr. Dip was able to see me within 30 min of me calling him and had me in to fix my tooth within 15 min. It was the best dental experience I have ever had. His expertise and well articulated description on what the next steps I should take was outstanding. Would highly recommend!
