Rebecca Gecovich, DDS is the owner and operator of Parma Ridge Family Dental. She is a fourth-generation Clevelander and loves the region and the people. She also loves her work, and has made it her mission to create a dental practice where patients can feel a warmth and concern for their welfare the moment they walk through the door.
Dr. Gecovich always wanted to go into healthcare. She began by pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology, and subsequently earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Helping people eliminate pain and boosting their confidence through creating healthy, full smiles makes the field immensely rewarding to her, but she also enjoys problem-solving in relation to the artistic component of cosmetic dentistry. She enjoys being with her patients and her team. When asked what she finds most satisfying about her work, she said, Getting people out of pain and being able to make a difference in peoples lives both by giving them more confidence in their smile or making them more comfortable withbetter function.
Function and esthetics go hand-in-hand, says Dr. Gecovich, but she also cautions that, If something looks good, but is not functioning, it will not last.To that end, she tries to be careful and thorough in her examinations for every problem presented by her patients. She also believes in a conservative approach to dentistry. She tries to save teeth whenever possible, and believes that prevention is the best treatment of all.
She employs the use of technology, such as snapshots from the intraoral camera and digital x-rays, to educate her patients and involve them in the decision-making process about their treatment options.
Her professional memberships include the Ohio Dental Association, Greater Cleveland Dental Society, and American Dental Association, and frequently attends continuing education seminars to keep up-to-date on all the latest dental advancements.
Dr. Gecovich believes that the Cleveland area is an excellent place to raise children and live in, and takes advantage of its beauty with outdoor activities, sporting events, and swimming when she isnt working or reading. She can also be found around town with her husband or playing with her three wonderful boys.
When you come in for a dental cleaning at Parma Ridge Family Dental, one of the people you may meet is Lora Creed, R.D.H. Lora says that she found visiting the dentist interesting starting at a very young age, and this inspired her to attend Tri-C as well as Lorain Community College as she pursued a degree in dental hygiene.
Building relationships with patients and knowing that I have a role in keeping them healthy are her favorite aspects of working as a hygienist, she says. Working in the field since 2003, Lora is also committed to continuing her education in order to provide patients with the highest level of care.
Madison was educated at Cuyahoga Community College and has been a hygienist with Dr. Gecovich since 2018. When she is not at work, Madison loves traveling with family and friends, camping, skiing, and spending time with her beloved Mastiff, Macy.

Unfortunately for me, I am sitting at the Dentist often. I have gone through at least dozens of Dentists in my life. Thankfully I found Dr. Gecovich about 10 years ago and haven't had to make any changes since. My situation was dire and I was facing 10's of thousands to repair decade long injuries. Rather than just insist on implants, she worked tirelessly to repair years of damage and for a fraction of the cost I was facing. Her staff is always friendly. The service + expertise of Dr. Gecovich creates a world class experience and I ALWAYS refer people I trust to her!

While I cannot comment on the actual dental work this place offers, I can comment however upon their discrimination against children with developmental disabilities. I understand that children who have autism may be difficult but denying a service (holistic dentistry) which is an overall hard thing to find to a person with a disability is discrimination, especially without even trying to work with the child first, or giving a referral elsewhere. 1 in 44 children in the US have a diagnosis of autism, with the numbers trending upwards. It is a shame this place provides a service that is otherwise a difficult one to find, that all children, autistic or not may benefit from, but refuses to work with a child with this condition. This is discrimination in the healthcare setting.

I've been going to Parma Family Ridge Dental for YEARS. They are extremely personable, welcoming and do a great job making sure your comfortable, taken care of and informed. I highly recommend them!

I never leave google reviews, but I am baffled by the lack of customer service or compassion this dentist office has for children. The dentist referred me twice to the Brecksville Children's Dentistry to have two of my son's teeth extracted. I complied, but when I called to schedule an appointment to have an emergency filling in on a third tooth for my son, the dentist told her secretary that I should go to a pediatric dentist for assistance...I emphasized the fact that my son's face is swollen and he hasn't been able to eat anything but soup for the last several days, and she still refused to see him. I appreciate your support doc and happy holidays.

I have extern dentist anxiety. This place made me feel comfortable. I've finally found a dentist that I feel is not trying to suggest root canals for money or other unnecessary services. I trust this place.

I highly recommend this dental office. As someone who always put dental visits off in the past out of dreading it, with this office I do not have to do that. I had an appointment today and it was a all around great experience. I was comfortable and my results exceeded the expectations that I had. Dr. Gecovich and the assistant that I had are both comforting and do amazing work. If you're in need of a quality dentist, schedule your appointment at Parma Ridge Family Dental.
