Our practice has been treating patients in Roanoke, Salem, Vinton, and the surrounding areas for more than 40 years. Our pediatric dentists are board-certified, meaning they adhere to the very highest level of standards for their specialty of treating children.

Pediatric dentistry is the only age-defined specialty recognized by the American Dental Association that provides both primary and comprehensive preventive and therapeutic care. We treat patients from infancy through adolescence and are well-versed in helping patients with special needs. Every child deserves a healthy and beautiful smile, and our doctors have the experience and compassion to ensure that happens.

A pediatric dentist receives the same level of training as a general or family dentist and then spends 2-3 additional years of residency studying the unique needs of, development of, and treatment options for children. Pediatric dentists also receive training in the sedation options available for children and their administration. A pediatric dentist not only knows how to treat your childs smile but also how to interact on their level in an environment designed specifically for children. Pediatric dentists receive extensive training in sedation techniques, behavior management/guidance, and treatment of children with special needs.

Each day I have the honor of teaching and caring for my patients. Every day I get to hang out with awesome kids and their families. We tell jokes, talk, laugh, and learn about their greatest adventures. What is not to love? My ultimate goal is to work together to help empower your child to smile. I understand that there is no single approach that works for every child, and I enjoy working with each child to cultivate a positive experience so that they will want to come to the dentist. It can be fun, I promise!

I grew up with many brothers and sisters because my mother was an in-home daycare provider. As a young child, it was wonderful having many siblings during the day! As I became older this is where I realized the positive impact that one could have upon children. I appreciate the enthusiastic, energetic, and spontaneous nature of kidsI believe in creating positive dental experiences that help lead to a lifetime of great oral health. Getting to know patients and their families is one of my favorite aspects of being a pediatric dentist. I consider it an honor and a privilege to be entrusted with caring for your children.

At Parkway Pediatric Dentistry, we create treatment plans for every child based on their own personal dental profile. We understand that each child is unique and we strive to make each child shine. With a non-corporate, non-cookie-cutter approach to dentistry, we work with families to create these individualized prevention and treatment plans. We work as a team alongside parents to provide evidence-based, minimally invasive, and conservative dental treatment options.

Lisa, Darlene and Dr. Ryan were AMAZING with both of my toddler boys. The boys were very nervous and they went above and beyond to make them feel comfortable. I will definitely be returning! Thank you guys so much.

FIVE STARS! I can't recommend this pediatric dentistry enough! My 4yo and 6yo boys truly get SO excited to see Dr Ryan and his incredible team! The arcade games, cartoons on the ceiling and goodie bags are just a super fun extra bonus. These guys know how to make teeth cleanings and fillings fun! :)

The entire staff is amazing! We've always had a great experience and they have always taken their time with each and every appointment and making sure that we understand all of our options. Dr. Reopelle is amazing and goes out his way to make my kids comfortable during every appointment. We are so thankful for him and his staff! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!

Always an excellent experience. We originally started coming because Dr. Ryan saw my child on a Friday evening via FaceTime to look at a tooth she potentially knocked loose running around the house. His promptness and accessibility during an emergency had us hooked. My two children are now patients with Parkway, and the entire staff, building, and experience is absolutely excellent! 10/10 recommend!

The staff are great with children! There are a lot of fun things for kids in the waiting room and there are prizes for the kids afterward. The staff are so thoughtful and amazing. The "extras" they do really helped with our kids' experience of the dentist and they loved it!

Visited with my 2 year old son and 4 year old daughter. All of the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel very at ease. The way the staff address and talk with the kids has made a huge difference I think in their anxiety levels about going and at our last visit, pulling into the parking lot, my son's reaction was "oh, I read books here!" So obviously not terribly concerned about what was about to happen. They were also able to offer a very non-invasive option to address a small cavity in his crowded baby teeth and were very non-judgmental regarding how something like that could happen. Overall great people and a great practice and I am glad that we found them!

Dr. Ryan and his staff are very professional, and personable. They made my daughter feel safe and she actually enjoyed her visit. She was very apprehensive, but afterwards she asked when she gets to go again. Even when she had to get dental work done, they made her feel so comfortable. I can't say enough good things about their office.
