Dr. Michael D. Haight grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As a young man he always knew he wanted to be a dentist. In 1995 he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University Of Oklahoma College Of Dentistry. After graduating he returned home to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he started his associateship with the distinguished Dr. Charles E. Wood. For five years they practiced together as partners in their private practice. Now Dr. Haight owns Parkway Dental where he enjoys working alongside the amazing Parkway Dental Team.

Dr. Haights interests and pursuits in dentistry include cosmetic dentistry and dental implants. He desires to help his patients reach their optimal oral health by educating them on how to best achieve their dental wants and desires. He is a member of the NMDA, ADA, AGD, AACD, WCLI and ICOI.

He and his wifeenjoy traveling, playing with their Labrador Retrievers, riding motorcycles, and discovering new adventures. Dr. and Mrs. Haight have four ambitious children. The eldest, Lauren, has a Master's in Nursing and works in Cardiology.Daniel works at Apple and is studying Digital Media with an emphasis in Music at USC Dominguez Hills.Anna is a University of Oklahoma alum and produces the morning news for an ABC affiliate station in Oklahoma City. Taylor has a Master's in Interior Design and works inDallas, TX designing dental offices.

Ten miles outside of electricity is where we goto bring dental care to the Achi people of Guatemala. The Achi are one of 23 Mayan peoples groups. They live in villages and have very limited access to doctors, dentists and medicine. In some cases, they have limited access to a clean water source!

It has been a privilege to serve the Achi with my family through our church, Desert Springs Church and Community Health Evangelism. Over the years we have built sweetrelationships with our partners in San Miguel Chicaj. We bring dental care as well spend time and energy to educate mothers and children about the importance of oral health.

Dr. Haight and the entire Parkway Dental Team serve at the Mission of Mercy. MoMis a program of the New Mexico Dental Association Foundation. It is a large scale, two day free dental clinic. It is a place and time where dental professionals and community volunteers can come together to help provide dental care for the under served population in our state. It is a first come, first served clinic where all are welcome.This clinic is for low- or no-income New Mexicans who cannot pay for dental care.
