Originally from Richmond, Virginia, James now lives with his wife, Christina, in Mt. Vernon. When hes not practicing dentistry, he enjoys running outside, doing flips off the diving board, and eating Chipotle.
It has always been my dream to take care of patients in a wonderful, family friendly environment. Here at Parkville Family Dentistry, I am able to provide superior dental care using the most up to date technology and with the most amazing support staff.
My passion for dentistry started in high school because of my love of science and the desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Outside the Office I am a proud Maryland resident, born in Towson and now living in Timonium with my family and Poe, our King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. In my spare time, I am an avid sports fan, especially for the Ravens and Orioles.
Dr. Steve Kokorelis grew up in a family of dentists with three uncles, an aunt, a cousin, and an older brother, all in the field. He is very proud to continue this family tradition by practicing with his brother at Parkville Family Dentistry. Dr. Kokorelis aims to create a compassionate, patient-centric environment rooted in evidence-based dentistry. He has a multifaceted background including a doctorate in dental surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, a masters degree in biochemistry from VCU School of Medicine, publications in oral microbial pathogens, and private-sector research at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. He is committed to providing advanced dentistry at the highest and most comprehensive level by implementing the latest technologies and techniques in his everyday practice.
Out of the Office Dr. Kokorelis originally grew up in Richmond, Virginia, but now lives in Mt. Vernon, with his family in the surrounding area. When he is not practicing dentistry, he enjoys playing tennis, going to the driving range, and eating at CAVA grill.

Lee resides with his wife and recently opened their home to care for his parents. He finds joyspending time with their four children and nine grandchildren. He enjoys boating, time spent with friends, and keeps busywith a variety of hobbies and activities.

Truly the best dentist I've ever been to! Dr. Steve and the hygienists are SO nice and make you feel so comfortable. I had to do a ton of new x-rays as a new patient (which sucks) but they make it tolerable by being so understanding and so kind. I will never go anywhere else!

Dental Assistant Ashley and Dr. Gough are amazing! I had a wisdom tooth pulled that needed to be pulled. When I say they were so patient with me and so nice! I enjoyed my experience with Ashley and Dr.Gough! They made me feel very comfortable during that process!! I was beyond scared but they made me feel so comfortable and made sure I didn't feel a thing! Thank you guys so much!! I can't wait to come back again! They made my time super fun and good laughs were shared ! I definitely recommend Ashley and Dr.Gough if you need work done!

Cannot rave enough about this incredible practice. Only regret is not having come here sooner. Dr J and team put the pleasure in dentistry!! You heard me. Excellent in every way. After 10 years of being neglected and exploited by a large institutional dental practice, my wife and I have found dental paradise in Parkville. And no...I wasn't paid for this endorsement nor am I under the influence of nitrous oxide. Make an appointment and find out for yourself and you'll be writing this kind of review as well.

I had to change dentists since mine didn't take my insurance any longer. People on nextdoor recommended Dr. Gough and I am so happy they did. My old dentist did me a huge favor by not accepting my insurance.

Dr.Steve, Dr Gough, and Sarah are awesome and amazing. They make you feel so comfortable and at ease. This person that's so scared of dentist especially needles didn't feel a thing. I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

I have nothing but fantastic things to say about this office. Dr. Gough and Ashley are phenomenal; they are knowledgeable, personable, professional and are incredibly thorough in their work. Dr. Gough always takes time to explain what he does and addresses any questions or concerns that I have. Ashley is so nice and welcoming and does a great job working alongside Dr. Gough. I've had all entirely positive experiences during my appointments and look forward to seeing them when I come in each time.

Best dentist I ever been to. First place I ever been to that explained my x rays and they also have different flavors for teeth cleaning. Staff is very friendly. First time I ever felt comfortable in a dentist office

This was my first time at Parkville Family Dentistry, but it won't be my last. The staff including Dr. Gough and Kristina, were extremely professional and courteous. I loved being able to watch one of my favorite Seinfeld episodes while going to the dentist. Highly recommend!

It is the best family dentistry ever. My kids, husband, and I see Dr. Gough for three years. We recommend this clinic to all our family and friends. Dr. Gough is the best of the best, he understands our culture. Dr. Steven was kind enough to not do unnecessary work on our teeth and was very patient. The center has very reasonable charges. All staff welcoming, extremely friendly and nice Only nurse Kristina unfortunately she is not belonging to this friendly and welcoming place. Almost 20 of our friends and family go to this clinic and we all pray she will not be our nurse during the visit :). But this won't prevent us :) we will keep going to the best dentist in Baltimore County. Thank you, Dr. Gough, for taking your time to explain the procedure and patience with my kids' questions. Thank you front desk for always helping us to find convenient appointments.

I had had a really bad time with the previous dentist that I was going to. The staff and Dr. Gough are all wonderful. Dr. Gough is very pleasant as was the dental assistant that I had. Because of my pervious bad experience, I was dreading going here since I knew nothing about the practice. So I was really happy with my experience at Parkville Family. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a good general dental practice.
