Our motto at Parkview Dental is building smiles and relationships. Its always rewarding to change someones life through their smile or relieving their pain or their fear. I would like to think that my patients see me as someone that genuinely cares for them as a person. I know the relationships that I have built at Parkview Dental are what motivate me to be my best every day.
I was born in Springfield, IL, but I spent the majority of my childhood in Marion where my parents still reside. After graduating from Marion High School, I attended the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.Anyone who gets to know me knows that I bleed orange and blue! I continued on to Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in Alton for my Doctorate of Dental Medicine and worked in Belleville for four years before opening Parkview Dental.
I believe it is important to stay current on the newest advancements in materials, instrumentation, and technology. Very recently, I upgraded my office with CEREC technology that can fabricate crowns and restorations in minutes! The innovations I have learned about since completing my formal education have vastly improved the quality of care I am able to provide to my patients, and its what they deserve.
My wife, Amy, and I currently live in Swansea with our two children, Lauren and Evan, and our dog, Macy. When I am not working I am usually spending time with my kids and their activities. I also enjoygolfing, jeepingand cheering for the University of Illinois sports teams. I am also involved in sports programs in Swansea and Columbia, on both the coaching and sponsorship level. Its important for me to make a difference in peoples lives, both in and out of the office.
I am responsible for managing all aspects of the office and patient coordination in order to make sure each day runs as smoothly as possible. I really like working with Dr. Pugeda; its a great feeling to help patients get the dental work they need. I moved to Columbia in 2001, after my husband, Clay, and I got married. We havefour beautiful children: Kaitlyn, Jackson, Jameson and Harrison. When I am not working I try to spend as much time with my kids as possible. I love watching them play soccer!
After graduating from Columbia High School, I started the dental hygiene program at St. Louis Community College.Quickly after graduating, I was lucky enough to become the first hygienist at such a close-to-home and high-tech office.During my four years working here, it has been very exciting watching our practice triple in size. I enjoy improving the health of my patients and giving them a smile they can appreciate for life.I am happily married to my wonderful husband, Matt. Together we have two wonderfulkids: Mason and Maisy.
