Originally from Oklahoma, Dr. Nettey-Marbell moved to North Carolina as a member of the US Army. After completing his term of service commitment with an Honorable Discharge, he immediately delved into higher education to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a family dentist. He attended UNC School of Dentistry to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree. After dental school he completed an optional residency at UNC Hospitals with a focus on head and neck cancer patients.
Dr. Nettey-Marbell and his team have over 10 years of experience treating the patients of North Carolina. When asked about the mission of Parkside Family Dental, Dr. Nettey-Marbell explained, We love to treat the entire family. We want to help you and your family maintain optimal oral health and enjoy the benefits of a healthy and beautiful smile.
Dr. Nettey-Marbell is currently an Adjunct Clinical Professor atUNC Dental School, as well as a National Dental Licensure examiner, testing candidates who are seeking credentials as dentists or dental hygienists.
Dr. Stephen Harward is a triangle area native and grew up in a family of dental professionals. He obtained his bachelors degree in dental hygiene from the UNC School of Dentistry and served as a leader in dental-related student research programs. He then went on to earn his dental degree from the East Carolina School of Dental Medicine, where he served as a student tutor.
Though he has worked in dentistry for over 10 years, Dr. Harward is committed to sharpening his skills and staying up to date on the latest technology and techniques. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Harward is passionate about combining his knowledge of dental hygiene and dentistry to provide comprehensive care to the people of North Carolina. When hes not working, he loves spending time with his beautiful wife and daughter and enjoying the great outdoors.
Dr. Bailey Munson was born and raised in Lenoir, NC but has been living in the Triangle now for 10 years. So in every way, she is a true Carolina girl. Dr. Munson attended Gardner-Webb University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Upon graduating she began working in the field of dentistry, first at a Pediatric Dental office followed by an Orthodontic office. All this, gaining experience and knowledge before beginning her journey at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2016.
Dr. Munsons passions include Jesus, Crossfit, cookies, and her husband, Josh, who is currently pursuing a specialty in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Munsons desire is to serve her patients with the highest level of care possible. She loves to educate her patients so that treatment decisions can be made together. She strives to listen well, ease your fears and anxiety, and to make coming to the dentist an enjoyable experience. She looks forward to providing the best care possible to you and your family. And she hopes when you leave her chair you will feel like family.
We know that your schedule gets filled up fast with school, work, extracurricular activities, family time, and more. Finding time for your familys dental health can be difficult. To help, weve made our dental office open on select Saturdays, freeing up your weekdays for all of your other commitments. No need to take time off from work or pull your kids out of school, come in and see us on Saturday!
When youre in our care, we make sure that you feel comfortable and at home with a variety of comfortable office amenities. Relax in our reception area with a complimentary beverage, or sit back and enjoy a movie while we complete your treatment thanks to TVs in each of our private treatment rooms. We do all we can to make sure you feel right at home.
For anxious patients and people getting extensive work done, we offer nitrous oxide. We want you to feel confident in the care we provide and comfortable while were caring for you. You can rest easy knowing you are in good hands, but if your nerves are too much to handle, nitrous oxide will help you relax during your treatment. Once the nitrous oxide is removed, youll be feeling back to normal after a few deep breaths. That means you can go about your day without any side-effects!

Parkside has been my dentist for the last year and every time I go I feel so welcomed. They have a way of making you feel like family and really take pride in their work! They are extremely helpful and don't make the dentist dreadful to go to! Today I had Leah as my dental assistant and she was AMAZING, so gentle and patient and actually cared about my concerns. Overall I would highly recommend making this your Dentist!

Great all around experience, clean location and friendly staff. Leah was outstanding and very personable. Dr.Marbell is second to none in dental care. I am really glad I decided to give this practice a try. 5 stars all around. Will definitely recommend!!

I absolutely loved my experience here and strongly recommend to come here! I've had pretty bad experiences with dentists in the past but Paula and my dentists here made me feel so comfortable and took the time to explain everything in detail! The place is very clean and nice!

Amazing office will definitely return. Everyone was so professional and nice. Leah and Dr. Harward were extremely patient and knowledgeable. I just had my first cleaning and dental exam at Parkside Family Dental and they did a great job! Very organized, orderly, and timely. Leah was a fantastic hygienist, very knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the why behind her tips and recommendations for dental care. Dr. Marbell was great too. Great with patients, took time to explain things, provided information without pressure to make a decision. Overall great experience!

They overcharged the insurance and after the insurance paid what was allowed they billed me $165. They stated it was a complicated tooth removal to insurance, they lied. But they said to me that my tooth extraction was not complicated and my insurance covers the entire cost of removal and then was sent a bill. Be aware. When I called the receptionist she did not have a proper answer or an explanation for why I should pay the remaining amount. I will be cancelling all my future appointments with them.

As a first time patient, new to this area, I found this dental clinic via Google search relying on others' reviews to aid my decision making on choosing a facility to receive service. I was happy to find I was able to get an appt the same day, was greeted by a diverse front desk staff, and had a chance to check out the clean and pristine waiting area before being called back for my appointment. I felt at ease during my visit. My dental hygienist was very personable and knowledgeable. The care I received was exceptional. There was this 5D dental scanner that was used to obtain imaging of my teeth to aide with my plan of care and monitoring. Very fancy. The doctor, Dr. Marbell, was very down to earth and professional. I was overall so impressed and would recommend this clinic to others!

Dr. Marbel is really top notch technically. He handled a hard case of tooth removal for my husband that other dentists were not able to handle. He and his team are very professional and friendly too.
