DeAnne graduated from the Medical College of Georgia. In addition to being a registered dental hygienist and contributing to family dentistry, she has an Advanced CPR certification and surpasses her yearly requirements for continuing education. One of her goals is the prevention of gum disease by facilitating your preventative cleaning and providing you with the skills and knowledge you need to do your part in its prevention. DeAnne is involved with her church activities and enjoys working out and spending time with her son. She has worked at Parkside Dental for over 20 years.
A University of Columbus graduate, Nancy is also certified in Advanced CPR and exceeds annual requirements for continuing education. You can count on Nancy to be up-to-date on the latest advances in periodontal therapy and provide you with detailed oral hygiene instruction so you can continue to care for your beautiful smile between dental care visits. She is married to her husband, Brett and they have four grown children. In her spare time, Nancy enjoys working in her garden and she has worked at Parkside Dental for over 20 years.
A William Rainey Harper College graduate, Sue spent over a decade in the dental field in Illinois before moving to Georgia in 1989. She is certified in CPR and has extensive training in digital x-rays, bleaching, ultra-sonic scaling, fluoride treatment, dental implants and numerous nutritional classes. Sue and her husband, Steve, have two adult children. She loves to read, travel, spend time with the whole family and eat healthy. Sue has worked at Parkside Dental for over 20 years.
Stephanie graduated from the Clayton State University in 2011 and has certification in CPR for Healthcare Providers. She enjoys a variety of classes related to dental care, ranging from oral pathology to benefits of Xylitol to advanced periodontitis to nutrition. Stephanie has been married to John for 29 years. She has three children Madelynn (26), Matthew (23) and Meredith (21) and not to forget her two dogs Seamus (5 years) and Levi (2 years). Her hobbies and interests include animals, especially dogs along with traveling, reading and spending time with family. Stephanie has been with Parkside Dental for more than 3.5 years.
Rebecca Jenkins who is one of our new joinees, graduated from the Central Georgia Technical College in 2015. She has a CPR certification to her credit, and has undergone dental care training in radiology, SRP and other preventative procedures like sealants, etc. Rebecca has also taken up courses such as teeth bleaching, dental photography and occupational respiratory infectious diseases. She is all set to marry her fianc of four years in April 2017. Rebeccas hobbies and interests include hiking, kayaking, camping, spending time with family and friends, and of course she loves teeth!
Another long-time dental assistant for Parkside Dental and Newnan HS graduate, Renee is trained and certified in Dentrix/Dexis Digital X-Rays. She attends annual courses through Hinman Dental to stay highly skilled and trained to facilitate the efficiency of her patients treatment. Renee is married to Ken Martin and they have two children. In her spare time, she enjoys church activities and gardening. Renee has worked at Parkside Dental for over 20 years.
Donna is a long-time dental assistant for Parkside Dental and a Newnan HS graduate who takes pride in giving exceptional dental care. She has received certification in Dentrix Digital X-Rays and Advanced CPR. Donna attends an annual Hinman Dental Meeting where she takes a variety of continuing education courses to ensure her patients the best possible experience when they are in her care. She and her husband, Tim, have two daughters. Donna enjoys scrapbooking, crocheting, stamping and crafting in general. She has worked at Parkside Dental for almost 30 years.
A long-time dental assistant, Phyllis is a graduate of East Coweta High School. She has completed training of Schick Digital Radiography, Steri-Safe Annual OSHA/Blood borne Pathogens and OSHA. Phyllis earned a Radiology Certification for Dental Assistants and is CPR certified. Among the many continuing education courses she has completed are Quality Dental Radiography and Emergency Medical Response Procedures in the dental office. She is married to her husband Jeff and they have one son. For fun, Phyllis likes going to movies, hiking, spending time with her friends and family and is very active in her church.
Marisa Willis is a certified dental assistant who has been with Parkside Dental providing quality dental care for over three years. Also a CPR certified personnel, Marisa graduated from the East Coweta High School in 2013. Her hobbies and interests include volleyball, books, spending time with two nieces and being outdoors.
Lori assists you with treatment plans and payment options and will work with you and your dental insurance providers to maximize your benefits. She works with you to make your financial arrangements for your dental care comfortable. A Sandy Creek High graduate, Lori attends annual Hinman Dental conferences to keep educated of an ever changing insurance and finance world. She has one son and enjoys spending time with family and friends, painting, decorating and walking.
One of the first people to greet you when you enter or call Parkside Dental, Carolyn is a graduate of Riverdale High. She oversees the dentist and hygiene schedules to make sure patients receive the treatment they need. She attends yearly meetings through Hinman Dental to stay up-to-date on the latest in the dental industry from insurance updates to teeth whitening. Carolyn is CPR certified and is a certified dental assistant as well. She is married to Jeff and has one son. In addition to spending time with her family, Carolyn enjoys going to the gym and playing softball.
Sabrina has been with Parkside Dental for over a year. She has certifications in Annual Hinman and CPR. Sabrina is married to Brian and has two kids. Her hobbies and interests include scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends.

Rude and condescending demeanor from receptionists. Are not upfront with their policies, met with attitude when asked to explain those policies. Hung up on twice without getting a call back before I was even able to ask for assistance. If this is the treatment people receive over the phone, I can only imagine how Parkside Dental treats their clients in person. Would not recommend. If you take the time to read the lowest scored reviews on google, you'll see that this is not the first time the staff has been rude or unfriendly to clients. Was really looking forward to receiving help with their services but overall terrible experience before even walking through the door. Not a good first impression and not somewhere I'd ever suggest for those who already experience anxiety before appointments. Do better

The staff and Dr. Simmons were very kind and informative. Going to the dentist has always been very anxious for me, but this office offers the customer support, care, and they are very professional. I enjoyed my appointment and look forward to returning for the next check up.

Parkside Dental Practice! From the moment you check in until you walk out the door you are made to feel like the most important person on earth. Even behind the masks you can tell that everyone in the office has a huge smile on their face. I know many people dread going to the dentist but I look forward to my visits every 6 months. I feel like it is a time to catch up with my friends and get my teeth cleaned while I am there. Thank-you to everyone at Parkside...I love y'all!!!

Dr Matlaga and Staff are awesome! Im a whimp when it comes to the dental chair and dread it with a passion. Therefore, I am very selective with whom I allow in my space for dental care. My drive is 45 mins one way and I do not mind the travel because they are worth it! Ive had many complicated procedures and somehow, the pain level has resulted in little to none. Additionally, the results has always been successful. Ive been a patient at Parkside for more than 10 years. It is certainly the place for scary cats:-) I highly recommend this friendly and professional practice!

Took my son, who is 9, he loved the office and staff. He couldn't stop laughing. They made the experience so enjoyable. I am not sure how you can accomplish that at a dental office but they did. He is taking his dental health seriously now and can't wait to come back. Edit:: Great dentist but office staff is not the best. When I was privately paying out of my pocket they were on top on it. The minute I got Delta Dental they seem to have an issue. I waited 9 months, calling nearly monthly to ask them to submit the proposed treatment to Delta Dental so I can see my out of pocket. I called each month trying to be patient due to COVID. Even after Delta told me the office never submitted, I assumed they were just doing it incorrectly. Then I called last month in Sept. they assured me they would call customer service, submit and call me tomorrow. They never called me back. At any point in the journey, they never called me back even when they said they would. I had to keep calling then. I am switching dentists.
