Drs. Jason and Jean Larsen are a husband-and-wife team who share a passion for dentistry and work together seamlessly. They are dedicated to education and committed to caring for your smile. Jason and Jean both worked as associates in private practices before opening their own dental office in Dallas. Now they have a beautiful dental office in the city of Murphy, a stones throw from Wylie, TX. They are loving the freedom of ownership as family time is very important to them. Jason and Jean have two children, Nathan and Madison, and a loyal family dog. On weekends, they can often be found exploring local attractions such as zoos and museums, or getting out in nature.
Jason earned his undergraduate in neuroscience and behavior from the prestigious Columbia University in 2004 before attending NYU for his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and graduating in 2010. He continues his education as often as possible, taking courses on CAD/CAM and endodontics, and advanced courses on dental implants. Jason is Level 2 certified in oral sedation. He is a member of the ADA and AGD. He enjoys problem-solving and handling complex cases, such as extractions and root canals. When not caring for patients smiles in Murphy, he loves watching football with his family (Go, Vikings!), walking the dog, building computers, working out with P90X, watching movies, and playing soccer and golf.
At Parkside Dental in Murphy, you will find a relaxed, calming environment. Our hope is that you will feel at home in our office. We provide a secure and calming environment for patients who struggle with dental anxiety and dental phobias. While you wait, enjoy a beverage, cuddle up with a blanket, or relax in one of our quiet rooms. We provide wifi, headphones, and Netflix so feel free to watch your favorite shows on our conveniently placed TVs in every operatory.
We know going to the dentist can be stressful. That is why our Murphy team provides comforting, homey touches like blankets and quiet rooms where you can relax in peace and quiet before your treatment.
Treatments and cleanings go by much more quickly when youre having fun! We have TVs in every operatory as well as on the ceiling so you can comfortably watch your favorite shows even during treatment!

Very good experience from booking the appointment by phone. I knew I was speaking to courteous staff. The appointment day was no different, they were helpful and had time to answer my questions to my satisfaction. Professionals I would recommend to anyone. Tammy my hygienist is very nice, gentle and caring.

everyone is so nice here, if you're afraid of getting your teeth cleaned than I totally recommend this place. They're super careful and listen to your concerns. I can't imagine going to a different dentist.

It was a great experience from start to finish. Ashley was fantastic and explained everything so thoroughly. Dr Jean was so friendly. Everyone made me feel extremely comfortable. The doctors are husband and wife and you can really feel the family-like environment with the whole staff. You can tell they enjoy being there and actually care!

Dr. Jean and Dr. Jason are awesome! They have had the chore recently of helping me navigate an issue that affects my gums but is caused by non dental condition. They have been very patient with me and you can tell they genuinely care about your well being. The staff always make me feel welcome and at ease. Ashley has been my hygenist for quite a while now and is very compassionate and courteous with my cleanings, taking extra care with my sensitive areas. Can't say enough about the team at Parkside Dental!

The most thorough exam I've ever received! Either my previous dentist was behind the times, or great advances in imaging technology have been developed since Covid for the dental profession. I highly recommend Tammy (hygienist) and Dr Larsen for your dental care

This is the best dental office I've EVER been to!! They treat me and my husband snd children like we ste family and they are always gentle, kind and upfront. Sensory friendly for children and adults on the spectrum. If I could rate them 10 stars, I would!! If you need a better dentist, this is the place to go!!

I cannot tell you how much I fear going to the dentist. I have never - until today - had a positive dental experience. Kendall was the best hygienist I have ever had - super patient, informative, and warm. And Dr. Jean Larsen was equally patient and explained everything thoroughly and mapped out all my short and long term options. I think I may have finally found my forever dentist, and I'm not scared to go back next week! :)

Was absolutely upset today with the kind of service we received. My daughter was there a couple weeks ago and I expressed the concern about her teeth grinding. They said that she may be having trouble breathing at night and recommended a sleep study which at that time made sense. Today when my son was there just for a his regular cleaning they told us that he would need a sleep study too without explaining the reason for that recommendation. The front desk was unfriendly when my husband tried to talk to them. My kids are definitely not going back there.

I have been treated by both Dr. Jean and Dr. Jason. Both do great work and make sure you are comfortable and not in pain. They explain things to you before they start and are more than happy to answer questions. The office is clean and modern. I love watching TV while they are treating me. :).
