It is obvious that a lot of time, money and research went into making the facility kid friendly. My daughter was very much at ease for her 1st orthodontist experience. Staff was professional and friendly. They anticipated our questions and answered them before we even asked. All around, an excellent experience.

Dr. Meredith Parks joined the practice in June 2006. She is a 1994 honors graduate of Hampton Roads Academy and a 1998 honors graduate of Wake Forest University. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia and completed a three-year residency in Orthodontics at West Virginia University, where she earned a Master of Science in Dentistry.

My daughter is now 14 and she has had two general DDs her entire life, all of which said she doesn't need braces. My wife didn't agree and I am so happy she took her in to see Dr. Parks. We just completed her year and one half with invisalign and her teeth look amazing. Dr. Parks is super knowledgable and the best. Her staff is excellent, and the facilities are top notch and super clean.

Parks Orthodontics was an amazing experience ! the people that work there are very nice and have a warm welcoming smile , along with conversation/ their personal stories or experiences ! they have helped me through my entire process , financially affordable and them being able to actually text your personal phone is very accommodating rather than calling for every little thing !

Had my first appointment today for consultation. Everyone was so nice. I can definitely tell that everyone enjoys what they do. Also, the facility is BEAUTIFUL. Looking forward to seeing everyone at my next appointment. :)

The ladies in the office made experience very comfortable. They explain everything in great detail on how to take care my brace. I was in and out so fast I was able to return back to school to show my friends my new gear in my mouth!

We're new patients here, but I love the entire experience of this office. It's very kid friendly, efficient & welcoming! From the iPad corner for the kids, the mascot Mango to visit, coffee machine & cookies, treats/toys for the kids, convenience of having the local areas school calendars to help scheduling appts, the technology they have for efficiency... it all combines to make a great experience for both the parents & children.

I had a button for the rubber band to attach to come off of my tooth. The office was able to get me in the same day. Wendy was the best! She was also able to grind down some of the cement on another tooth that was causing me some chewing issues. That made a huge difference.

Treated like a number, chipped tooth, concerns waved off, and billing issues. Edit: Contrary to the owner reply, this is in fact a review of their orthodontic practice. I decided to fill in some details. Treated like a number: 1) They are inordinately concerned with a minor cosmetic issue I specifically told them I didn't care about. I have larger concerns, which.... 2) I've had to raise on every visit. Sometimes I'd get agreement only to come back the next time and find they had forgotten. If they had a plan to address my concerns, it was never shared with me. Chipped tooth: I later found they likely buffed down an existing filling vs chipping it per se, but still hurts. Concerns waved off: Multiple issues here. 1) From the beginning refused to coordinate with other dental practices to create a care team, and would not engage on the subject of TMJ issues. Literally hand waved the entire thing off. 2) When I had flare ups of TMJ pain I was completely ignored, the doctor even ran out of the room once instead of answering. 3) The reply to this original review. 4) I received initial resistance and eventually a snide response when I asked for records to support moving to a new provider. Billing issues: 1) I had difficulty getting them to fill in a simple one-page insurance form, forcing me to submit it myself and shepherd it through with the insurer who didn't expect this to come from the patient. 2) My insurance changed and instead of acting like every other medical or dental practice and calling/emailing me to clarify, I was immediately put on a monthly plan with an additional monthly fee. The email I received was quite rude. 3) I was told by Dr. Parks that I could switch providers and be given a prorated refund. Given the above I suspect they'll conveniently forget that.
