Dr. Char received his DDS from Loma Linda School of Dentistry in 2006.Undergrad: BA in Medical Technology from Loma Linda University (Yes, Dr. Char was a lab guy and loves lab techy stuff along with dentistry)
Dr. Char has had the privilege of traveling the World and living in multiple places including Hong Kong, The UK, California, Arizona and Texas where is he most proud to call home. He loves being a dentist in Odessa because his career not only satisfies his interest in science but also allows him to have real connections with his patients. There is just something great about helping my patients in the dental chair and then seeing them at the grocery store and really be a part of their lives.
Although in Boarding School in the UK, Dr. Char thought he would grow up to be an Interior Designer or an Architect, destiny (or maybe the swaying of his 3 Uncles, Aunt and Cousin who are also dentists) had other plans. I realized that I wanted to grow up to help people. I used to have a fear of the dentist and now feel I am a great person to help others with dental phobia. I know how it is, I have been there.
Dr. Char is thrilled to offer tools and comforts to make a dental visit relaxing such as heated dental chairs, calming aromas, TVs above the dental chair and he utilizes a special topical numbing agent so as to ensure a pleasant experience.
We believe dentistry is about four things: care, compassion, comfortability, and cosmetics. These values define how we speak with patients and address their dental concerns. Bernard Char, DDS, and our staff look forward to teaming up with you, providing nutritional and hygiene advice, answering treatment questions, and taking care of your concerns. We offer cosmetic, restorative, pediatric (kids) and general dentistry for patients and their loved ones, with the goal of supporting your smile for a lifetime.

To ensure your comfort during treatments, we apply a special numbing medication before using our DentalVibe instrument to introduce the local sedation painlessly. We continue the procedure when you are ready to do so.
Dr. Char has an eye for detail. He uses this skill to make teeth look naturally beautiful, and retain their full function. For him, its not enough to only resolve a dental concern, but he takes time to polish and finalize his work. Jessica was such a great hygienist! I loved the way she took her time to talk to us and get to know us. She also did very well on explaining what she was doing and what products I wanted on my teeth. Overall, she did amazing and I would love to keep her as my hygienist!

Dr Char is very kind and extremely helpful. I have not had the best experiences with dentists my entire life to be frank I'm quite terrified of them at times. I've been seeing Dr char for almost two years now and I don't know if I ever want to see another dentist again. His office is also beautifully designed and I've never had one rude staff member experience in his care. Thank you parks legado dentistry for taking care of me!

Dr. Char cares about you the patient more than the money you represent. He has treated me better than I could have ever hoped for. That is only part of the positive rating, The Staff is Wonderful and it is pleasant to work with them on scheduling and insurance matters. The Office is new and designed as a patient friendly beautifully decorated environment. Thank You Dr. Char and your Great team members. I first posted this years ago when I first used their services. It is ever so more accurate now as I have been there for cleanings and checkups routinely. They are still GREAT and I appreciate the help they give me. Thank You Dr. Char and your wonderful staff

I would recommend Parks Legado Dentristy to anyone looking for quality care by the nicest staff I have ever dealt with. They are truly concerned about their patients & even came in after hours to do a root canal when I was experiencing pain and their schedule was full. They go above and beyond & don't make you feel horrible if you have bad teeth. I would never go anywhere else.

I'm so glad that I found Dr char he was my dentist over 10 years ago but somehow I lost him now that I'm back I feel so great so happy when I was there this week Jessica the girl that cleaned my teeth did a super job and you never had any pain or anything she did a great job and of course Dr char he's got to be the one of the best dentist in the world he's always happy he's always even going down the hall singing yep singing I told him he couldn't carry a tune then he said he would change it over into Chinese anyway so glad to be back anybody if you want to do this and the staff there is unbelievable go to see Dr char he is great thank you

I love the staff and Dr Charr!! I am very terrified when it comes to my teeth. I don't like the dentist but Dr Charr and his staff have changed my mind. I still get nervous but they make me feel like family!! They put me at ease. Dr Charr is funny and very intelligent. He loves his patients and cares about how they feel. He doesn't want us to feel any pain. He really does care for his patients. I recommend him to my family and friends.
