Dr. Josh Parker was born and raised in Baton Rouge and graduated from Central Private High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree at LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans. While in dental school, he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, C. Edmunds Kells Dental Honor Society, received several scholarships and awards for academic excellence, and graduated at the top of his class.
After dental school, Dr. Parker decided to further his education in the field of orthodontics to help change peoples lives by creating beautiful smiles! He completed his three-year orthodontic specialty residency and received a Master of Science degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Parker has been practicing orthodontics in Baton Rouge since 2014.
To demonstrate his desire to provide the absolute highest level of patient care, Dr. Parker has voluntarily completed hundreds of additional hours of preparation to become a Board Certified Orthodontist. Only 1 in 3 orthodontists is certified. Achieving board certification is the last step in a long and intensive educational experience to ultimately provide excellent patient care. Also, Dr. Parker volunteers his time at Childrens Hospital on the cranial facial team.
Orthodontics is more than just straightening teeth. It takes extensive knowledge of jaw growth development, facial symmetry and more to perfect a smile. Theres a reason orthodontists must go through additional years of schooling after receiving their dental degree. Board certification goes a step further, demonstrating an orthodontists passion and dedication to the field.

I had the greatest experience with Dr. Parker's office. I had my braces on for 4 years due to needing extensive dental work done. Through all 4 years, Dr. Parker and his staff were patient with me and accommodated me throughout the oral surgeries and my relocations. The work they've done is amazing. I don't even recognize my smile. I'm so happy with the results.

Dr. Parker and his staff are top notch when it comes to everything. The appointments were very easy to schedule and make. She was always in and out with no problems. Her teeth look absolutely amazing and he accomplished everything we talked about from the beginning. I would definitely recommend Dr. Parker to anyone looking for orthodontic treatment.

We 100% recommend Dr Parker and his awesome staff! Best orthodontist in my opinion. He is kind, caring, he listened to the issues we we're having, and came up with a plan. He is detailed, and very knowledgeable in his skill. After having a horrible experience from a previous orthodontist, he was a breath of fresh air. My daughters teeth look amazing. I couldn't be any happier with my experience at Dr. Parker's office. From the initial consultation through having my braces removed every staff member was kind, patient, and knowledgeable.
