Dr. John L. Parker is a graduate The Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve University School of dental medicine. He is committed to providing excellence in dentistry, standing out as a leading dentist in Zanesville for over 35 years. Because we make sure you receive the finest care possible, Dr. Parker takes the time to get to know and understand you. His warm personality, talent and high level of expertise make him an easy choice for all your dental needs. Dr. Parker uses the latest in dentistry techniques and technology to provide you with a beautiful and healthy smile. Using state-of-the-art Cone Beam 3D imaging and digital radiography, he can accurately diagnose and treat a variety of dental conditions. Additionally, Dr. Parker believes strongly in education to prevent oral health problems before they occur, and makes sure to keep patients fully informed about their dental health. He has special interests in treating temporomandibular disorders, oral rehabilitation and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Parker has over 35 years of membership the Muskingum Valley Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Parker completed his undergraduate degree from the Ohio State University. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Ohio State University, graduating with honors. He has subsequently received extensive specialized training in implant fixture placement and advanced bone grafting procedures he received training and completed a residency at Duquesne University in conscious sedation. He also received an Oral and IV Sedation Certification from the Ohio State Board of Dentistry. Dr. Parker currently is an active member in the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, American Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Parker is currently in private practice in Zanesville, Ohio with his wife, Dr. Kala Parker.
Dr. Kala Parker received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Miami University. Continuing her education, Dr. Parker graduated from The Ohio State University with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2018. While at Ohio State, she was chosen to take part in a pediatric dentistry elective course, which gave advanced training on diagnosing, managing and treating children requiring complex procedures. In addition to working with children, Dr. Parker has a passion for adult and geriatric dental care. She is Invisalign Certified and she won The Academy of Operative Dentistry award for outstanding achievement in operative dentistry. Dr. Parker is a member of the Ohio Dental Association, American Dental Association and the Muskingum Valley Dental Society. While not at the office Dr. Parker enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active with her husband, Dr. Chris Parker, and their goldendoodle, Ted.

We absolutely love it here. All of the Dr's are great, but we especially love Dr Kala. She has such a sweet demeanor & is always going out of her way to make you comfortable. Ted, the therapy dog, is always an added bonus & brings a smile! We are so grateful for this office.

Had a farm accident lost front tooth they saw me on that saturday and fixed me right up. I will be coming here from now on. Wonderful staff and help anyway they can. I am thankful for Parker dental group.

Currently sitting the waiting room, these wonderful people have only met me once and they all speak to me like they know me! It's so refreshing to be welcomed during this pandemic. Dr. Parker speaks to you in a room instead of the typical dentist office where you're already laid back in the chair with your mouth wide open and a bright light in your face. This office makes me care even more about my dental hygiene, just by how much THEY care about me! 10/10 would recommend them to anybody, of all ages!

Dr.chris is the best dentist I have ever been to. He is so kind and patient and non judgement. I have had a lot of work done by him and my self esteem has boosted so much, I smile all the time now. His assistance's are pretty amazing too. His 24/7 emergency service saved my family pictures. My tooth broke on a Saturday and I called at 7:20 in the morning, I was in and fixed and out the door by 9:30. I recommend him to everyone I know.

Going to Parker Dental Group has always been a pleasant experience! It is like going to visit family. We trust the doctors and staff. They go above and beyond to make your visit comfortable and painless. The environment is extremely clean and inviting. The staff is always friendly, kind, and accommodating. The services performed are only what is needed to keep the patient's teeth healthy. The appointment time is usually very accurate and everyone stays on schedule. Their scheduling and billing is down to a fine art. Upon leaving I always feel I spent time with some caring friends. We have been patients there for the past 25 years and have seen the same smiling faces. Thank you for great experiences every time we visit!

I have been seeing Dr. Parker for almost 40 years. I've had root canals, wisdom tooth removal, bonding, and more done. My comfort has always been their first concern. I would recommend them to anyone that is fearful of dentists. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. And now it's a family business with the addition of Dr. Chris Parker, as wonderful as his father.

Very friendly staff, clean office and great with kids. We starting coming here a few years ago because they were recommended to us by family. Even though we moved back to Florida and now we're in Newark, OH, I still drive 35 minutes because this place is great.

I just received my first Root Canal today and I have to say it truly was a wonderful experience! I love the Doctors and the support staff is second to none! I have had terrible experiences with other dentists in the past and have always been hesitant to switch to a new office, but I am SO glad I switched to Parker Dental. I have had nothing but excellent service every time I've been in. Each staff member-from the girls up front, to the hygienists, to the Dr's, have provided the most amazing service and treat you like family. If you have children and are looking for a dentist office, look no further. They have been so great with my son from his first visit at 3 years old-he looks forward to going every time! I truly have nothing but good things to say about this office.
