Dr. John L. Parker is a graduate The Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve University School of dental medicine. Using state-of-the-art Cone Beam 3D imaging and digital radiography, he can accurately diagnose and treat a variety of dental conditions. Additionally, Dr. Parker believes strongly in education to prevent oral health problems before they occur, and makes sure to keep patients fully informed about their dental health. He has special interests in treating temporomandibular disorders, oral rehabilitation and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Parker has over 35 years of membership the Muskingum Valley Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Parker completed his undergraduate degree from the Ohio State University. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Ohio State University, graduating with honors. He has subsequently received extensive specialized training in implant fixture placement and advanced bone grafting procedures he received training and completed a residency at Duquesne University in conscious sedation. He also received an Oral and IV Sedation Certification from the Ohio State Board of Dentistry. Dr. Parker currently is an active member in the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, American Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Parker is currently in private practice in Zanesville, Ohio with his wife, Dr. Kala Parker.
Dr. Kala Parker received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Miami University. Continuing her education, Dr. Parker graduated from The Ohio State University with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2018. While at Ohio State, she was chosen to take part in a pediatric dentistry elective course, which gave advanced training on diagnosing, managing and treating children requiring complex procedures. In addition to working with children, Dr. Parker has a passion for adult and geriatric dental care. She is Invisalign Certified and she won The Academy of Operative Dentistry award for outstanding achievement in operative dentistry. Dr. Parker is a member of the Ohio Dental Association, American Dental Association and the Muskingum Valley Dental Society. While not at the office Dr. Parker enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active with her husband, Dr. Chris Parker, and their goldendoodle, Ted.
