Dr. Nelson grew up in Cambridge, MN before attending college at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She then attended the University of Minnesota where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Nelson lives in Park Rapids with her husband, Jeremy, who owns Park Performance Chiropractic. They have three young children who keep them very busy: Layla (7), Natalie (4), and Benjamin (3). In her free time, Dr. Nelson enjoys being on the lake, home decorating, spending time with family and friends, and playing with her basset hound, Humphrey.
David grew up in Remer, MN on their family resort. He attended the University of Minnesota for undergraduate and dental school. He graduated in 1992 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and moved to Park Rapids. He was married to Amy in 1994, and they built the current dental office in 2003. Dr. Andersen owned and operated David E. Andersen, D.D.S. P.A. until he sold the practice to Dr. Nelson in July 2020. Dave now works Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesday mornings at our office.
David has served on many community and state committees and boards, holding several officer positions along the way. He is a Past President of the Minnesota Dental Association. In 2005, he was selected as the Park Rapids Community Service Award winner and was honored as one of the Minnesota Jaycees Ten Outstanding Young Minnesotans. He is also a longstanding a Rotary member and is a former president of the organization.
In addition to his many professional commitments, David enjoys spending time with his wife, Amy, and their lab, Skyler. Whether it be hunting, fishing, or spending time on the pontoon with friends, David loves to be outdoors enjoying all the Park Rapids lakes area has to offer.

I didn't accept the flipper tooth they wanted me to wear. It was way too big in my mouth. Then was told I couldn't come back to their clinic. Next day I got a certified from them saying I could not come back to them. Not very professional Dr. Nelson !
