In 1972, Dr. Greg Swenson and Dr. Bud Murn saw a need for consistent, high quality, affordable dental care in their community. With their vision to put patients first, they formed one of the first group practices in Minnesota.

Our doctors and clinical staff are committed to delivering the highest quality of care to every patient. Each team member strives to make your experience at Park Dental the best dental experience youve ever had.

With dozens of convenient and locally owned locations throughout the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota, there are plenty of reasons to choose Park Dental. Our history of providing personalized, quality care is unrivaled in the Twin Cities, and we treat each patient as a valuable part of the Park Dental family.

Whether youve moved to a new area, are looking to change your dental provider or just need a second opinion, we have a qualified dentist close by to provide the care you need. There are many reasons our patients choose Park Dental. Here are the main reasons they keep coming back:

Park Dental has experienced doctors and team members who do whats right for our patients. Many of us have invested our entire careers at Park Dental. We look forward to a bright future caring for your dental needs.

Our rigorous credentialing program ensures that each doctor, dental hygienist and dental assistant is properly licensed. Our clinical excellence and quality assurance standards put our patients at ease so they can focus on getting to know their doctor and team members without worrying about the quality of care.

Park Dental doctors and team members stay up-to-date with the latest procedures and technology. Some teach at the University of Minnesota Dental School and other community and technical colleges. We also serve on dental advisory boards and participate in professional dental associations.

Whatever your dental needs, we provide the individualized care you need to enjoy a lifetime of oral health. Regular visits to your dentist are one of the best ways to prevent cavities and gum disease, and the American Dental Association recommends you see a dentist at least once a year. For optimal dental health, most of our patients visit every 6 months according to their personalized care plan.

We understand that todays dental care is better than yesterdays. Thats why we are always pursuing the latest and most effective dental technology. Our practices invest in state-of-the-art technology to ensure you will always get the best dental care available.

One benefit of our group practice is convenience and flexibility. Some family members can visit a location near home or school and a parent can choose a location near work. We make it easy for you to get the care you need, when and where you need it.

On your first visit, we ask you to complete an online new patient registration form. If youve seen a dentist in the past, we can help to facilitate the transfer of your dental records and radiographs (X-rays).

Park Dental accepts most dental insurance plans and has a wide range of payment options including cash, check, debit card and credit card. We also offer convenient payment options through Wells Fargo so you dont have to worry about how you are going to afford your treatment.

Park Dental was founded on the principle of making communities better through accessible dental care, and we remain committed to promoting the importance of dental health throughout our communities. Our core purpose is to improve peoples lives as a leader in oral health.

Participating in the community is part of who we are. Our involvement includes Give Kids a Smile, Minnesota Mission of Mercy, the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure, health fairs, community events, parades, neighborhood festivals, providing learning resources, volunteering, teaching about good dental hygiene at local schools and daycare centers, and much more.

Even after 45 years, we continue to work to refine our practices so youll receive the best dental care possible. Thats why individuals and families throughout the Twin Cities, greater Minnesota and western Wisconsin have trusted Park Dental with their care for the past five decades.

Every doctor and team member is fully credentialed and licensed (as the position requires), reviewed by peers and continually learning and improving. Our quality assurance standards build confidence with our patients so they can continue to trust our dental care and services.

As a dental group, we provide on-going opportunities for mentoring, constructive feedback and professional development at every level: doctors, dental hygienists, dental assistants, scheduling managers and practice managers. Every Park Dental doctor participates in our peer evaluation and mentoring program to help ensure each patient receives necessary and appropriate care. Mentoring is a positive experience at Park Dental because the focus is on learning and growing in our profession to benefit our patients.

We promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning. Park Dental doctors invest resources and time to provide continuing education for themselves and their teams. We customize our training and development programs so we can better meet the specific needs of our patients. Being a group practice allows us to pool our resources. For example, we are able to bring in local and national experts to conduct seminars and training for our doctors and team members.

Our commitment is to provide learning opportunities for professional and personal growth so that everyone acquires new skills that enhance our ability to meet patients needs. A high-quality continuing education program benefits our patients because the more we know, the better we can care for your needs.

Each doctor receives routine reviews by other Park Dental dentists. These reviews evaluate appropriateness of care and proper patient record documentation. Doctors and team members also receive one-on-one feedback as a part of our ongoing peer review and quality assurance processes.

Park Dentals partnership with specialty dental providers, such as The Dental Specialists, allows us to meet most dental needs you or your family may have throughout your lifetime. We provide all general dentistry services and refer patients to a specialists when advanced care is required.

Our close working relationship with these specialty doctors helps us to provide dental care that is seamless and consistent. Collaboration also provides educational opportunities and professional growth as we work together on behalf of our patients needs.

Our facilities are professionally designed and appointed to allow each location to promote clinical excellence and patient comfort. The environment of our practices is calm and professional, enhanced by natural light, color and art.

Park Dental supports and participates in The Dental Practice-Based Research Network (DPBRN) whose mission is To improve oral health by conducting dental practice-based research and by serving dental professionals through education and collegiality.

The Dental Practice-Based Research Network (DPBRN) is a consortium of participating practices and dental organizations committed to advancing knowledge of dental practice and ways to improve it. Essentially, it is practical science done about, in and for the benefit of real world daily clinical practice. DPBRNs major source of funding is the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), part of the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH).

When you visit a Park Dental location, you will receive quality care that is necessary and appropriate the right care for you. Our approach to patient-centered care is exemplified by our S-E-R-V-I-C-E:

Our approach to dental care begins with a thorough, comprehensive examination. We recommend a treatment plan to meet your individual needs and discuss how to approach that treatment, keeping you at the center of the decision-making process.

Our patients often request elective services like teeth whitening, veneers and composite (white) fillings. We work with you to produce the desired results because we want you to look good and feel good about your smile.

At every Park Dental location you will receive quality care from well-trained doctors and team members. Our quality assurance and peer review programs help ensure high standards of care are upheld. Our facilities and processes meet or exceed state and federal standards.

At Park Dental, doctors inspire each other every day. Doctors learn from those more experienced, and doctors who have practiced for years renew their passion for learning through interactions with newer doctors.

We get great results because our doctors and team members listen to their patients and encourage each other to contribute their unique perspective and abilities. We make decisions by asking one question: Whats best for the patient?

We believe the best value we can provide any patient is dental health for a lifetime. Were here for you when you need us. We provide our patients a full range of dental services, including emergency care, at convenient locations with extended hours.

Park Dental strives to be a good neighbor to our communities. We participate in Give Kids a Smile, Minnesota Mission of Mercy, American Heart Association Start! Heart Walk, American Diabetes Association Diabetes Expo, health fair and community events. We also provide learning resources, volunteer and teach good dental hygiene at local schools and daycare centers.

All doctors and team members are fully credentialed according to the requirements for their position and participate in continuing education throughout their careers. At Park Dental, you can be confident you will receive care from highly educated, well-trained professionals.

Awful. Waste of my time and money. Refused to work on me because my blood pressure was too high with a wrist monitor while laying back part ways. I'm on medication for it and that's good enough for my Drs. Could let someone know in advance it's getting taken so they make sure with dr before traveling 45min for no reason. Plus they wanted me to pay cash day of appt so not like insurance had anything to say about it. The dental assistant was very nice at least.

I waited a year to get my teeth cleaned and looked at. But when I got to my appointment they told me that I couldn't be seen. After they rescheduled it twice on me. I wouldn't say that they are professional at all a matter a of fact they are every on professional and unorganized

Update 03.28.2019: Somehow, this Google review is showing up under Park Dental Owatonna. This review, and I believe many other reviews for this location was originally meant for Park Dental Brookpark, 6437 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Center, MN 55429. Scheduling the appointment wasn't too bad. You have to request an appointment and then you will be contacted via phone to provide more information such as reason and insurance before scheduling a date/time. The atmosphere wasn't as welcoming until the dental assistant came in. She was super sweet and very helpful. The whole appointment didn't last very long and I wasn't assisted afterwards. When I wanted to schedule a follow up appointment, I was told from a staff that I never provided any insurance information because it wasn't in their system when they wouldn't schedule me until I provided it the first time. I didn't mind giving the information again, but it was being told that you never did something when it was their mistake they didn't enter it in. When I tried scheduling an appointment again, a woman called, but was too busy speaking with someone in the background and hung up on me. When I called the number back, the woman who picked up stated that they never called me and would have never done anything like that. No apologies. She then asked for my insurance information again. I started providing the information and she kept telling me that I was providing her my health insurance information instead of dental insurance. She told me to call back when I had the correct information. At this time, I decided I would go elsewhere. I decided to go Aspen Dental down the road. The staff there was more friendly, welcoming, and helpful. And they were able to look up my dental insurance in a breeze.

We have been going here for about 2 years since out insurance has changed. Our whole family comes here for all of out dental needs. Routine cleanings are ok but any kind of work has been horrible lately. I recently took my 5 year old in and they referred me to their partner the dental specialist. Long story short they made me hold my daughter down as she screamed for her life as they took her tooth out. The doctor got angry and stated she is crying for no reason. i left traumatized and I'm sure my 6 year old was terrified. I then just took my son in for a regular 2 fillings that took over 2 hours when i was told 1 hour. When i asked why the assistant said with an attitude that it was due to the location of the filling. but later my son told me he sat for 30min in the room while the doctor went to service someone else. I just spent 2k dollars out of pocket the week prior for a root canal, a cap, 3 fillings and this is how i am treated. With an attitude and lies. Not only are you losing me but my whole family of 8. Over priced, and unprofessional not to mention making me hold a crying terrified 5 year old down. Did not know I signed up for this.

Super poor customer service! I arrived on time and got seen 20 minutes later. Take your business elsewhere where they will treat you right.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE EVERY TIME. The physicians are always running behind & the front desk have poor communication skills when it comes to anything reguarding insurance, payments, & business overall. 9/10 times the attitudes of the employees can be sickening . I'm more than willing to drive the additional 10-15 minutes to another location for better service.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Brockton & dental assistant, Sadie, when I had multiple fillings done at once. They sensed my anxiety, and took the time throughout each tooth to make sure I was okay. They work very well with each other, both respecting the other, and I sense they've been working together for awhile. Dr. Brockton is also the first dentist that I remember who took the time to explain what to expect that evening and for the next couple of days, and what I should & could do to manage. Sadie is wonderful and has been able to put this dentist avoiding person at ease with her genuine ways both times she worked with me.

My hygienist was Corrine and she was the nicest caring person I have ever come across! She made a few light hearted jokes to break my nerves and then started the cleaning. It wasn't terrible I was actually pleasant! After Corrine's cleaning Dr. Held came in and took a look at my teeth and instead of making jokes about how terrible they look or asking me how I eat or don't I take care of myself as I have heard from previous dentists she took the time looked at them and asked questions of care. Is that senestive? Do you get cavities quickly or easily? Telling her I was told I had soft enamel she said she could see that. Instead of that's false I've never heard of that or making me feel dumb as past denstists have she actually took time and explained what that means and how to handle it. This was an experience un-like anything I have ever experienced!!

Dr. Held and LDA Debra were awesome! Debra is a hoot. I have very high anxiety about dentists, but I can honestly say the procedure was pain free. They did everything to ease my fear. Definitely have a new and somewhat excited patient!

Clean decent place giving them a single star based on Insurance policies my insurance changed they canceled my appointments basically dropped me as a patient even when I was willing to pay out-of-pocket because of that very poor place to do business dental work is a necessity and patience shouldn't be treated that way
