For Dr. Hilda Meza-Thompson, a passion for health runs in the family. She gained her love of dentistry at a young age while assisting at her mothers dental practice. Studies came naturally to her and she graduated with honors in 2000 from UABC, one of the top dental universities in Mexico.
Youll feel relaxed and at ease the moment you enter Park Dental Arts. Everything from aromatherapy to the soothing color tones and the warm smiles of our staff is aimed at your comfort. We want your dental experience to be one you can look forward to.
Building trust with our patients is our top priority, which is why every part of the treatment process will be transparent to you. Youll be informed of the process every step of the way, from discussing costs and options to the moment you leave the chair.
At Park Dental Arts, youll always be treated like family. Dr. Thompson treats patients with compassion, understanding, and genuine interest. Staff will even try to get to know your favorite tv shows, so the operatory room tv is always on the right channel.
Drawn to the beautiful city of San Diego, she began serving the community with her skilled dentistry at Park Dental Arts in 2007. Dr. Meza-Thompson focuses her interest in same day crowns, sedation, and dental implants. However, she is always working to improve her skills and knowledge in all areas of general dentistry. She holds Invisalign Certifications I and II, CA Oral Conscious Sedation Licensure, a Fellow in Oral Implantology with the California Implant Institute, and an Associate Fellowship with the World Laser Institute.
She is an active member of the San Diego Downtown Breakfast Rotary Club, American Dental Association, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, California Dental Association, and the San Diego Dental Society.
When she isnt pursuing her passion for skilled dentistry, Dr. Meza-Thompson loves to spend time with daughter Frankie, creating digital photography, listening to audiobooks, and having interesting conversation over a good meal.

The best I ever had. I thought I was in a Beverly Hills office: - T.V. on the ceiling - headphones, cable channels, remote - checked my blood pressure?? - staff is super friendly - put vitamin E on my lips cause they noticed they were chapped - did a 3D scan on my tooth & showed me how they made my filling - free parking - free sparkling water & couches - The doctor remembered everything we talked about on my previous visit - the doctor noticed a mirror was cracked & took it really seriously. This person cares about her practice. - the doctor texted me directly, the Monday after my filling to make sure it felt like a good fit. Holy smokes man, & its the same price as anywhere else!

Park Dental Arts are very caring professionals, they always reach out to you to make sure you are doing well, and if not they welcome you to come in, if something is bothering you, they are looking out for you. Better than my previous dentist I had for 15yrs, not as efficient as Park Dental.

Very disappointed, I had work done on my front teeth, I mentioned that it looks smaller she got upset about it didn't give me options to fix it, I don't like to fight for something that wasn't cheap,

Absolutely the best dentist and staff in San Diego! Friendly, professional, experts in their field! I trust Dr. Thompson with all my dental care needs. Takes time to explain the treatment plan and encourages questions. Even after moving out of the area I return to have Dr. Thompson and her staff take care of all dental treatment.

I was seeking a consultation for major dental work and I was very apprehensive and uncertain when I arrived at the office. I was met with kindness and compassion by each team member starting with Liz at the front desk. I was feeling stressed and overwhelmed by my decision and finances and Louella stopped to deeply listen to my concerns. Chiaki was kind and considerate and skillful. Tammy always welcomed me and had a kind word and warm smile. Norma was determined to give me excellent care and talked me through each step and was personable and professional. Dr. Hilda has a very matter of fact , no-nonsense style that instilled in me a sense of safety and confidence in her ability, knowledge and expertise. She took her time to listen, and explain in detail what my options were and empowered me with information to make an informed decision. On the day of my procedure, I was nervous but quickly felt like I was surrounded by a team of caring professionals and all I had to do was relax. Every thing was taken care of and I felt safe and secure. The next day, the Dr. called me and checked on me herself and when the pandemic closed everything down ,she reached out to check on me again. Rarely, is there a team of dedicated compassionate team like you will find at Park Dental Arts. Thank you Dr. Hilda and your wonderful team. This review is long overdue!

I enjoy working with this dental office! The staff is so kind, friendly, and professional. They are up to date with the latest technologies and implant knowledge. Definitely an office I can trust! I work in a dental lab and I receive hundreds of intra oral scans from other dental offices that don't know how to take a proper oral scan. With Park Dental Arts, I've never had an issue. They take the time to ensure they are taking the proper steps for a successful case. Great outstanding communication with this office. Shout out to Norma, she's the best!
