In 2005 Dr. Grinter began providing care for patients on the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile reaching out to some of the more rural areas in Northwest Illinois. Dr. Grinter continues to provide care regularly on the Care Mobile.

In 2009 Dr Grinter was hired as Director of Special Patient Care at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. Dr Grinter is an attending dentist providing training for GRP residents each year. Dr Grinter was Lead Oral Health Advocate for DentaQuest from 2008-2015 and served on the Illinois Peer Review Committee. Dr Grinter worked closely with DentaQuest's Regional Oral Health Advocate Program that helped find access to care solutions by linking dental providers to patients that need the care the most and by working with local agencies to improve their existing dental programs.

Dr Grinter is the Immediate Past President of Special Care Dentistry Association. Dr Grinter works with dentists from all over the world that specialize in the treatment of patients with special needs.

In 2012, Dr Grinter was appointed as a consultant to the American Dental Association's Council on Access, Prevention and Interprofessional Relations (CAPIR), the Joint Commissions Behavioral Health Care Program Professional and Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC).

Dr Grinter earned his Masters in Public Health at University of Illinois at Chicago's School of Public Health in 2010 and has since been working to continue to close down barriers to care by bringing dental care to patients

Very unprofessional. Staff is rude and make unnecessary comments. The place seems very poorly administrated and the rooms lack proper hygiene.

If I would give 0 stars. The "manager" Lori is beyond rude and condescending. Last appt we had they had changed it in the system from a treatment to a cleaning without notifying me. And when I told them we need the cavities filled Lori argued with me about it and told me well she's overdue for a cleaning so we changed it. I was never notified of this and when I asked why she told me they sent a text and I should unblock them because that's the only way I wouldn't have gotten a call or text about it. I tried to speak to her boss but she told me she was in charge and the only one one I could speak to so I asked for the owner's name ....she told me the owner's name was The Owner. Also I tired making sure that certain cavities would get done at my daughters next appt before school. The "manager" once again argued with me saying that our insurance will not cover to have them redone even if they were done incorrectly and keep falling out. And I should change my daughters eating habits instead. EXTREMY unprofessional and rude office staff. I cant afford to drive an hour one way to take my kids to a different dentist but after the way I was treated today by the "manager" will find way.

Very unprofessional and rude. Was called today explaining that my boyfriend wasn't confirming the appointments for daughter and the person stated "he can take 3 minutes to answer a text" after I explained that it was fine that they were calling me due to him working 12 hours shifts. The same person then called me back later today stating that because they were given a 1 star review by my boyfriend, they wouldn't be seeing daughter as they are "uncomfortable" seeing her because of this review when it wasn't even bad, just simply explaining the lack of decency at this dental facility.

I wouldn't give any stars, but can't post w/o giving at least one... All around rude Office Manager. If you're having a bad day or aren't happy with your job, fine... but move on! You shouldn't talk to anyone over the phone the way I was spoke to. I was simply trying to reschedule! Dr. Grinter, please retrain your Office staff and those that answer the phone!! They need to be willing to listen and allow the patient or who's calling to talk and then not give snarky and rude remarks back to whomever they are talking to.

New patient.. so I tried setting up and appointment. The rep said they had one for July. But when asked for the age and after speaking to manager he said to call another location bc I couldn't get that appointment since my daughter was not an established patient. Long story short. He passed me over to the manager. Lori the "manager" said we only take kids 6 and under bc OLDER KIDS ARE HARD TO HANDLE. . To which I asked why didn't they just tell me that in the beginning? Didn't get an answer from her. Honestly just a parent trying to get help for my child. This was the only location that had the earliest appointment.

Have taken both my grandchildren here for some time now, always professional and efficient and we never have a long wait, the dentist and dental assistants are great as are the receptionists! They only thing is, my grandson had so much anxiety and is a husky boy, they had a hard time holding him down to fix his cavity. So he has to be referred out. But today both of my gkids did great! They went in alone and didn't cry once! I'm so happy for and with them!

This place doesn't even deserve a star. The worst "cleaning" I have ever have if that's even what you want to call it. The assistant did a quick job on my brushing my teeth. I spend more time and effort at home. Didn't even clean around my gums or anything. What cleaning doesn't do that? Worst dental office I've ever been to.

Went to go get my sisters teeth pulled. We asked them if they received the referral from orthodontist so we can schedule. We end up scheduling with this place for them to have her "clean" her teeth. Which we could've did at home. It's fine if you didn't receive the referral, it was just upsetting that they didn't call us to let us know that they didn't receive anything so we didn't have to drive almost 1 hour away from home. No communication was passed on.

They don't even deserve 1 star! Front desk lady "in nice terms" is beyond rude. While in the middle of our conversation about my children being seen the following day, I asked questions about how the procedure would go down. She proceeds to tell me they don't use any kind of gas or relaxation methods for children (even though they work mainly with children) but what they do is wrap them in a blanket on a board, numb them with the shot & do the work!!! As a mother that is ridiculous for anyone to put their child through. In my opinion that is torture especially when they're not comfortable & don't feel safe. So this woman decided to hang up on me! After I expressed my concern & how I felt & no we didn't get disconnected because I called several times back with no answer. She needs to be fired! It's your job to be polite no matter what the circumstances are when you work with people & for someone working a front desk position answering calls no wonder why they only have a 1 star rating with her there. They need to wise up & get rid of the trash they hired to be the face of their business. Long story short STAY CLEAR OF THIS FACILITY!!!!! If they think it's ok to have that as an employee imagine what else they think is acceptable.
