We focus on keeping patients in good oral health so that they can live a full, healthy, and enjoyable life that is free from oral pain. This starts by educating our patients on what they can do to stay healthy at home. In our family dentist office we recommend that patients eat a healthy diet that consists of green leafy vegetables, lean protein, nuts, dairy products, and crunchy fruits and veggies. Eating these foods along with drinking water can help to keep teeth healthy and make them stronger. By simultaneously reducing sugar intake, patients can also reduce their risk of cavities.
It is also important to brush and floss throughout the day. Instead of waiting for bedtime to brush teeth, carry a small toothbrush and use it after meals and snacks. This makes it possible to remove sugar and bacteria from the teeth and gums before it has the opportunity to turn into acid that can attack the teeth. This preventative step can greatly reduce a persons risk of getting a cavity or gum disease. Dr. Rich understand the importance of taking these steps at home and will spend the time necessary to educate and inform patients so that they can stay healthy overall. Education, after all, is essential for living a long and healthy life.

Q: Are baby teeth really that important to my child?A: Primary, or baby, teeth are important for many reasons. Not only do they help children speak clearly and chew naturally, they also aid in forming a path that permanent teeth can follow when they are ready to come in.
Q: What should I do if my child has a toothache?A: First, rinse the irritated area with warm salt water and place a cold compress on the face if it is swollen. Give the child acetaminophen for any pain, rather than placing aspirin on the teeth or gums. Finally, see a dentist as soon as possible.
Q: How do dental sealants work?A: Sealants work by filling in the crevasses on the chewing surfaces of the teeth. This shuts out food particles and bacteria that could get caught in the grooves of the teeth. The application is fast and comfortable and can effectively protect teeth for many years.
Q: How do I know if my child is getting enough fluoride?A:If your child is not getting enough fluoride internally through water (especially if the fluoride level is deficient or if your child drinks bottled water without fluoride), then we may suggest fluoride supplements.
Q: What can I do to protect my teeth during sporting events?A: Soft plastic mouthguards can be used to protect teeth, lips, cheeks and gums from sport related injuries. A custom-fitted mouthguard will protect your teeth from injuries and even provide protection from severe injuries to the head.
Q: How safe are dental X-rays?A: There is very little risk in dental X-rays. Family dentists are especially careful to limit the amount of radiation to which you and your family are exposed. Lead aprons, digital technology, and high-speed film are used to ensure safety and minimize the amount of radiation. Digital x-rays provide an even greater level of protection by using up to 90 percent less radiation.

Worst dentist ever! I used to be a dental assistant here and Dr rich is by far the rudest doctor, I am so glad I left that place so unprofessional. He is also a racist! I will never bring my kids or family here. These people are disgusting.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I loved this dentist appointment! The whole staff was warm and welcoming, and the hygienist Mary Lynne was incredible. She took the time to explain everything so well, going above and beyond, and was so gentle yet thorough in her cleaning! Her friendly nature made the visit very enjoyable as well. I especially appreciated Dr. Rich's cancer screening, which I've never had done before anywhere else. They also take all necessary precautions due to COVID-19, so I felt so safe the entire time. I recommend them 100%.

Amazing!!! I have never had a dental visit as AMAZING as this! The hygienist Mary Lynne was superb. She explained everything single detail about my teeth and was extremely gentle in cleaning my teeth. She was awesome!!! Dr. Rich was incredible as well. He did check my teeth after the hygienist was done and did special check up screening on my neck, mouth and tongue. The front desk lady was very nice and accommodating too! This place is clean! I highly recommend it!

They took all the proper safety precautions while showing me they truly care about me and my dental care. This is definitely a place to check out. Plus, Marylynne the hygienist was super thorough and made my teeth sparkle!

I had an amazing experience. The hygienist was a sweetheart & made me feel at ease. The dentist was great too! I would seriously recommend this place to anyone looking to get dental work. I will definitely be coming back! They took all the necessary covid precautions.

Such a wonderful office and a lovely team! I know my teeth are in great hands here. Honestly, I look forward to my teeth cleanings and checkups. It's always a pleasant experience walking into this office and Dr. Rich is extremely knowledgeable.

Wonderful experience. I called the office to schedule an appointment due to being in extreme pain and although Dr. Rich was only in the office to do paperwork that day, I was told to come in right away. I was greeted by both the receptionist and doctor who were so nice. Dr. Rich spent the time explaining everything to me and answering all of my questions. I called Dr. Rich two days later due to an emergency and he immediately returned my phone call. He referred me to an excellent oral surgeon. Dr. Rich even called me the night of to follow up with me and to ask how I was doing. I am so thankful that I saw Dr. Rich. He absolutely made a terrible situation so much better. I will be going to Dr. Rich from now on and you should too!

Dr. Rich and his team are the best! Although going to the dentist may not be my favorite thing...at least I know the staff is great. MaryLynne, Carol,Leigh and Dr. Rich are all very nice, and professional. It was a good experience as the office was very clean and I felt safe as they went over all the precautions they take in between clients.

I came to this practice as a new patient. I was greeted with a friendly smile. They had all the safety precautions in place which made me feel both safe and secure. My hygienist was fantastic. She was both knowledgeable and professional. Her personality was awesome and I was able to bond with her immediately. I met Dr. Rich and he was so thorough. I highly recommend this dental practice and look forward to my next 6 month checkup. Thanks for a wonderful experience
