For my education, I graduated from Lafayette College before going to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental medicine, where I earned my degree in 1981. I then went to the Mount Sinai Medical Center Residency Program. I taught there for over fifteen years, five of which as a Department Chief. I enjoy all aspects of dentistry. In addition to being an Invislaign Gold Plus provider, I treat patients with Sleep Obstruction Disorders to improve their quality of life.
For more than 25 years, I have been an active member of the International Health Emissaries. We volunteer and travel to developing countries delivering free dental health care to children. I treated the Kekchi Indians in the jungles of Guatemala, farmers in the northern mountains of Mexico, school children of Cambodia, and the needy in Quito, Ecuador. My family and I returned to Cambodia and treated over 325 children in the rural villages. Kenya is our next destination.
I am originally from the northeast and am grateful to live and work in the best city in the world. My wife, Kathy, is a speech, language and learning specialist. We have two young adult children, Sarah and Samuel, who both have now graduated college. I am a professional Magician since age 12 and donate my talents to charity events only. All my patients can also experience some magic if we agree for it to be part of our plan.
Ive been lucky and feel privileged to have been given the opportunity to treat and care for so many wonderful people. I never take this for granted and I feel honored every day I walk into the office. Im proud to have created and maintained so many beautiful, healthy smiles!
For my education, I received my BA from New York University, then went on to attain my DDS from New York University College of Dentistry. Afterwards, I earned my General Practice Residency from Mount Sinai Hospital.
I love to learn and expand my professional and life experiences. I am proud to be a GOLD Plus Invisalign Provider. I attend continuing education in facial and cosmetic dentistry with emphasis on adult orthodontics using Invisalign, anterior aesthetics and adult rehabilitation. With our aging population and longer life expectancy, dental health has evolved into maintaining form, function, health and beauty for a lifetime. This is very different than a generation ago, where infection and loss of structure were more prevalent. Its rewarding when I can preserve and protect people from tooth loss for a lifetime. I am now able to educate and recommend options that will help correct and maintain teeth, gums and smiles for a lifetime.

After living in Englewood, NJ for many years, we have moved back to NYC. My wife, Tammy, and I have three wonderful kids, Josh, Michele and Leah! We also have Maggie, an adorable Golden Retriever, waiting for us at home. In my spare time, I enjoy golf and traveling with my family.

A little bit about me Dr. Chois journey began from a small town in Washington. Upon graduation from University of Washington with Biology/Physiology degree, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry. Thereafter, he received additional training from Bellevue Hospitals Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery Center and Gouverneur Dental Clinic in NYC. Throughout his training, he performed numerous implant placements, molar root canal treatments, surgical extractions, fixed and removable prosthetic treatments, periodontal surgeries, and cosmetic restorations.
Dr. Choi constantly tries to improve his skills by attending conferences and studying on his own with genuine passion and desire to learn all aspects of dentistry and is an Invisalign Gold Plus Provider!
Throughout his career, he has shown commitment to treating underserved patients by leading multiple local outreaches. He participates in dental mission trips with nonprofit Christian organization named SOMA to treat numerous underprivileged patients in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Dr. Choi is currently residing in Brooklyn with his wife, who works as a motion graphic designer for Nickelodeon and their adorable French bulldog named Lilly. Dr. Choi works with most dental insurance plans and offers weekend hours as well.
