I grew up in Southern California with an interest in health (inspired by my father who is a general dentist). I majored in Biological Sciences at USC and went on to attend dental school at UCSF. While there, my curiosity was piqued by the orthodontic specialty. I was fortunate to stay at UCSF for my residency, a three-year program known for its strong foundation and clinical skills. Here, I earned my Certificate in Orthodontics and Masters of Science in Orofacial Sciences.

Since graduating, Ive been practicing in Mill Valley and have absolutely loved this community and the people Ive been able to meet. As faculty, I also teach a 3D Imaging and Virtual Treatment course to orthodontic residents at UCSF.

I live in Mill Valley with my husband, sons, and our playful pup, Ollie! When Im not looking at teeth, Im mostly chasing around our 3-year old and cuddling with our little one. I also love to explore our beautiful Marin County and try new recipes in the kitchen. I love seeing patients and their families around town - stop and say hi!

After 9 years in retirement, I joined Parikh Orthodontics in January 2018. While retirement was a nice change of pace after 18 years as an operations manager at a San Francisco based investment bank, I missed going into work every day. I found Parikh Orthodontics to be the perfect fit for my second vocation.

I was born and raised in San Francisco and moved to Marin in 2015 with my husband, Peter and two dogs. When Im not working, I enjoy playing mahjong, walking the dogs, and cooking for friends and family. I have a daughter in New York and a son in LA, whom I pressure to move home daily.

I have been a Registered Dental Assistant since 2009 and have 13 years of experience in dentistry. After my own orthodontic treatment, I decided to change lives alongside Dr. Parikh, improving bites and smiles.

Assisting Dr. Parikh in orthodontics is my passion every day. When not at work, I enjoy spending time at home with my husband. We love walking/hiking, cooking, baking, scrabble, chess the simple things life has to offer with love and gratitude.

I became an RDA because I wanted to help people and be part of a team that really cared about their patients and each other. For me, it has always been about making sure our patients are comfortable and well-informed! I joined the office 11 years ago and made the transition to Treatment Coordinator with Dr. Parikh. I love this work because I really love meeting new families and seeing the kids grow into beautiful, young adults with lovely smiles.

I am the proud mother of a beautiful fourteen-year-old daughter. I was introduced to Orthodontics when my daughter needed treatment and fell in love with the thought of helping others gain confidence through a beautiful smile.

Our office has been proud to serve the orthodontic needs of Mill Valley and Marin since 1967. Started by Dr. Earl Johnson, this practice was built to serve a community of families focused on attention to detail and exemplary skill. In the late 90s, Dr. Sean Carlson pushed the practice further with the introduction of 3D imaging and a focus on whole-health orthodontics. Dr. Sachee Parikh joined the practice in 2014 and has been excited to merge new technology with the established foundation of providing excellent care to our patients.

Our office is part of a beautiful community and we take our responsibility to be good neighbors and pillars of support seriously. We can be a force for positive action and a support for programs and activities that enrich our youth. From support for Kiddo! to Little League, Dr. Parikh and the team are dedicated to community organizations aimed at youth growth and development.

We know that each patient brings their own uniqueness - sometimes that means theres not enough space in the mouth, teeth developing off-course, maybe even a missing or extra tooth! Our focus on individualized treatment plans ensures that were thinking through every aspect of treatment before we even place appliances.

Diagnosis revolves around identifying issues. 3D imaging allows us to see more. Simply put, the more we can see, the more we understand. We employ one of the best 3D imaging machines. The iCAT FLX produces clear imaging without any of the magnification and distortion issues inherent in 2D imaging.

What is virtual treatment planning? Once the 3D image is taken, all the structures are surface mapped. Using special software, Dr. Parikh creates virtual setups of the course of treatment. This helps her better understand the issues at hand and obstacles that we may face during treatment and plan for the most effective appliances and efficient systems.

As with so many aspects of our lives, technology is changing everything. This includes how we treat patients. Dr. Parikh is dedicated to understanding new techniques with careful research and evidence.

As an advisor for Polaris, a global platform for collaboration among orthodontists, Dr. Parikh learns so much from her colleagues experiences with various appliances and treatment philosophies. Polaris also provides an amazing community for collective thinking and approaches to patient treatment.
