Dr Katz is a magician! I had a an infected broken second molar, and he removed it in less than a minute with all of it's broken roots, without cutting up my mouth. He was done before I thought he even started. No need to general anesthesia.

Not recommended! They are not professional at all and the stuff not trained well. I had appointment for oral surgeon and the PA in order to make for me a model she had to use some spray not supposed to be used in skin cased burning and shortness of breath. They did not know even how to make it and they start to mix materials and throw it for 4 times.

I had a procedure done yesterday. I was so nervous but as soon as I got there everyone made me feel welcomed, everyone that works there at so kind and pleasant. They instructed me on what to do the next few days, I felt very comfortable in their office. I can't wait to go back soon to get my implants done.

Had a 9am appointment for consultation. From the moment I walked in the nasty receptionist said I need to put in mask when not a single employee had a mask on. As comical as this was I had to Ask this child why she didn't have to wear a mask. Her answer was she wears a mask and I'm in wrong office it's next door. From the moment I walked in to this place I felt like was in a used car lot. Sittng in the chair and just not feeling this nickle and dime place, the dr explained that I would need a cat scan for him to determine exactly what was needed. I just got out of my chair paid the $17 for an X-ray and left Dr was a nice guy but just not comfortable there. Alert Alert Alert. Can you imagine I got a bill from these people for a consultation that never took place I left as son as he said cat scan ( which were his only words to me)

I was there today. Everyone friendly, professional. I was sedated for my bridge being cut and a badly infected tooth removed. Talked through everything prior. Painless procedure. Thankful for Dr. Sheen and his assistant.

From the moment I called to schedule an appointment receptionist Vanessa was the rudest employee I ever met, who also hanged up on me, to the moment I asked for her manager, who presented himself as Giovani M but his real name is Yobani it was the worst experience ! We've been told by him that "if you don't like this office go elsewhere !" We will be keeping our appointment just to let the doctors know how nasty and unprofessional these individuals representing this office

Doctor was good, Staff very unprofessional. I had surgery and had to call 3 times to get my pain meds. They gave me Tylenol codeine for Oral surgery which is a joke. Couldn't sleep after surgery. Will never go there again.

Avoid Dr Stuart Katz at all costs. He is extremely rough with injecting the needle. He literally stabbed me with it with full force and because of that I have permanent nerve damage in my lingual nerve. He deserves to get his license taken away.

I went to Paramount yesterday for my wisdoms tooth removal, 3 at once. At my consult they were honest about my options of just local anesthetic if sedation was really scaring me and as well as broken down everything for my price wise and what my insurance was covering and a round about it my out of pocket expenses. So yesterday I went it really freaking out about anesthesia because I have never had it before. The assistant was very nice and honest. She talked me through everything told me what to expect and assured me I was in good hands. She really made me feel very comfortable. Dr. David Sheen did my removal. He came in explained each step they were taking, went over all the medications I would need and how to take them when I went home. He prepared my iv sedation walked me through the whole process and just had conversations instead of counting back to relax me. Next thing I know I was awake everything was done, the assistant was there to ease me back and talked with me until I didn't feel loopy anymore. Went over all my meds with my boyfriend again. The process was so nice and calm I trust them completely with anyone I know and love. Post op 24 hours later my swelling is at a minimum. I took 1 800 ibuprofen yesterday when my numbness went away at around 1, my procedure was at 9am. I slept through the night, I have no pain and all 3 were impacted. 1 was out 2 we're about 98% under the gum. They really did such an amazing job. I'm so thankful I chose to come here. I never write reviews for places, good or bad but this was everything I needed and more. And as someone who was freaking out about doing this the last two weeks, I can assure you this is an amazing place with amazing staff and dr's. Thank you guys so much for taking care of me and my anxiety. Thank you for preparing me with going home and what I would need to help in recovery. This has been the best dental process of my life and I've had a lot done. I greatly appreciate it !

I was already a bit nervous about my daughter having wisdom teeth extracted as she was too, it was her first time with anesthesia. The office staff employee Bella is very professional, excellent bed side manner and fully explains things. I also received a follow up call this morning checking in on my daughter. I would highly recommend family and friends to Paramount. Much appreciated for excellent service to your patients. Bella is definitely an asset!

As a wife of a general dentist, I was referred by my husband to Dr.Katz . First off for a dentist to refer a surgeon for his family says something about the faith one professional has for another. Dr. Katz and his staff was amazing. From the gentleman at the front desk, to the assistant and finally Dr. Katz it was a positive experience on every level. He is a warm, caring professional who put me at ease and worked quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend

I had a referral and once I parked the car I realized I left the X-ray and referral at home. I went inside and the receptionist was very helpful she spoke to my dentist office and got everything emailed. Very courteous and helpful staff. Dr. Katz explained what was going to happen, did it and I was on my way with a bag of after care items and very helpful instructions. They also called to check on me the next day! If I have to have another procedure done, I will be requesting this practice as the place to go.

As someone who is terrified of the dentist - and I mean shaking, panic attack terrified of the dentist- this place was GREAT. Staff was welcoming, dentist was informative before, throughout and after the procedure. He made sure to inform me of all sensations that would be felt, what was going on, and what to expect. Highly recommend!

WOW! Excellent Place!!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. 1st- off lemme start with the website it's the MOST professional website I ever saw. It guides you thru everything step by step , there's Absolutely no need to even call the office unless you need to make an appointment! 2nd- when I got to the office, yes I had to fill out paperwork, but I could of did everything ON THEIR WEBSITE. No biggie but I love the fact they had comfortable seating with tabletops you can lean on to fill out the paperwork. 3rd - the staff and Dr. Katz, OMG! All of them were Professional, well mannered, organized, & AMAZING!! From when you first walk into the door to when you walk out to speak to the very last person who deals with ur billing and dental insurance. I've never dealt with such a well organized, professional and such amazing ppl at any dentist office in my life!!! If you are looking for an oral surgeon or any other Cosmetic dental work. Paramount Oral Surgeon is the place to go!!

I was so hopeful reading the reviews for this doctors office but boy was I surprised. For starters when I made the appointment on the phone the finance aspect of the visit was never discussed which led me to believe the procedure I needed was covered. I needed to have a broken tooth removed because it was causing me extreme pain. The day of my appointment I arrive and my husband drove me because I was under the impression I needed sedation like was discussed when I made the appointment. About 20 minutes of my husband and I waiting in the reception area we were told he had to leave because no guests were allowed with the patients. This restriction would have been fine and understandable if it had applied to everyone in the waiting area but it didn't. I witnessed one patient have her husband allowed to go in for treatment with her and at least two other patients in the waiting room that had their spouses with them. When my husband inquired about the policy and why we were being singled out from everyone else he was yelled at and told they would cancel my appointment if he didn't like it. When I went in for treatment it became very clear to me why they didn't want my husband with me and that's because their intentions were to try to rake me over the coals for every dollar they could. They wanted to charge me for 30 minutes of anesthesia which was about $160 for a procedure that took 10 minutes. I declined that but they also managed to hit me over the head for $160. I would avoid this place at all cost, and as a matter of fact I would avoid any doctor on Staten Island because they're all in it for the money and could care less about their patients health.
