Although I was born in Manila, Philippines, I have lived in the Seattle area for most of my life, and I love it! I have two children named Caleb and Leah. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching the news or sports, and reading. I also enjoy cycling and have completed the Seattle to Portland bike ride three times!

I received my Bachelors of Science degree in General Biology with a focus in Molecular, Cellular, and Development at the University of Washington. Upon completing my undergraduate studies, I then continued my education at the UW School of Dentistry where I earned my Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS).

I love doing dentistry, plain and simple. I feel that I am playing rather than working when I am taking care of your teeth. The first time you walk in our Kirkland dental office or Seattle dental office door, you will feel the friendliness of the people in the practice, and it is my goal that you always feel welcome. My team gives me an opportunity to have a fantastic time being a dentist day in and day out. Our patients show their commitment to us by coming in year after year, and we are committed to always providing the highest quality services for them.
I love being a dentist because it allows me to give back to various community fundraising opportunities. Locally, I serve as an affiliate professor at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. I enjoy channeling my wisdom to help dental students further their knowledge in restorative dentistry. Globally, my favorite non-profit organization to give back to is called Charity Water whose mission is to bring clean and safe drinking water to every person on the planet. Our monthly contribution to Charity Water is a powerful opportunity for us to extend generosity outside of our immediate community and fuel health on a worldwide scale.
In addition, dentistry has given me the chance to make it possible for patients who have not smiled in a long time to lay a big and healthy beam on the world and be seen as they really are. It can change peoples lives in many, many ways most of which I am sure I will never know. But, occasionally, a dentist will get a heartfelt thank-you that makes it all worth it.

My strong passion for learning and honing my skills, led me to Salt Lake City, Utah where I trained an additional year in a General Practice Residency program and developed advanced training in oral surgery, endodontics, cosmetic dentistry, and more.
My favorite part of dentistry is being able to forge trusting relationships with my patients so that they feel comfortable the second they walk in to our office. Its no secret that the dental office is not everyones favorite place to be but whether you have a history of strong dental fears or a joy for being in the dental chair, my goal is to make your concerns feel heard. My empathetic treatment philosophy is centered around providing high quality care and ensuring that my patients needs are met and their expectations exceeded.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending my free time traveling, exploring the outdoors, and fueling my new-founded hobby of baking. A bucket list goal of mine is to visit every National Park in the country! As a native of the PNW, I am also a diehard Seahawks and Huskies fan and love spending my weekends cheering them on.

Dr. Julie Vu has been hands down, the best dentist I've ever had. She is a highly skilled dentist who also has incredible bedside manner. She is very patient, answers all of my questions, and takes the time to talk me through all of my options so we can decide what treatment plan is best for me. I am so thankful to have her as my long-term dentist!

My family has attended paramount dental for years and we have been very pleased with their attention to detail, kind demeanor, and ability to ensure our teeth and gums are healthy. They are excellent dentists. My husband in particular hadn't seen a dentist in years before we started coming here and he was embarrassed by the state of his teeth. They were nonjudgmental and came up with a great plan to restore his mouth back to health.

I scheduled my mom an appointment for her first visit here. They told me upfront they do take her insurance. I took the time to fill out the lengthy new patient online form. We waited 2 1/2 weeks for her appointment and then they called us the morning of saying her group insurance is not accepted but they would still see her if she wanted to pay out of pocket. When they left us a vm the morning of they referenced my name for the appointment and not hers. I was looking forward to my mom going here as there are lots of good reviews but with our experience, they seemed disorganized and not very considerate of people's time.

Clean, efficient, friendly staff. I have had the best scheduling experience with Paramount, even trying to balance different ages and needs within my family. Our hygienist, Tiffany, always puts a smile on my face with her friendly demeanor!

I have been coming here for 15 years. It is always a good experience, and today I had a crown replaced. Leah did a great job building the crown and making me feel comfortable. I would highly recommend this office if you are looking for a dentist. Dr. D. has done most My only complaint is that they are so busy, it can be a wait for an appointment. But, they are worth waiting for if you don't have something that needs immediate attention.

I've been here for 8 years and have been so happy with my experience! They make my visits enjoyable and have completed work that has helped me manage my gum recession. I also love that they do crowns on-site!

I feel so comfortable in my dental clinic I am very satisfied that I received the necessary treatment without any difficult process. Dr.Abu was really kind and easy to explain to me about my oral condition and also explained the treatment process in detail. The whole process went well as he said, and I am relieved and I am very grateful for his knowledge and skills. Also, the technicians working in this dental office were friendly and good skills.

Quynh is the best hygienist I ever had! I had many hygienists from other clinics - few even claimed to be the best hygienists, but none was as good as Quynh! They all failed to clean difficult spots area - leaving me wonder if it was a mission impossible. Quynh has proven them wrong! She is the first hygienist that truly did an excellent job cleaning every spot - including spots I thought to be impossible! I was impressed that every spot in my teeth literally felt "squeaky clean"! Wow! I will only have my teeth cleaned by Quynh from now on!
