Roberta is the glue that binds the office together. Since starting here in 1999, she makes sure everything is taken care to perfection and that the office runs smoothly from day to day. She keeps the technology moving forward and is always on the cutting edge. Roberta brings experience from her BS in biology and postgraduate work in finance which allows her to share her vast expertise in business and computer-based knowledge to keep our office humming. If you ever have a problem, Roberta is there to solve it.

Roberta has been married for over 35 years to a great guy, Jeff a former chef, who cooks for her every day! They have three wonderful sons who she loves to spend time with even though they are all grown and on their own. When shes not working, Roberta loves to travel and spend time with outdoor activities all year round such as hiking, skiing, and playing golf.

Zahava has been working with this team for more than 20 years. Her skills as a dental hygienist are unprecedented and you will leave our office with that great feeling of spotless teeth and gums. Her thoroughness and compassion for her field match her dedication to improving patients dental health. Zahavas patience and caring shines through with all her patients, whether they are 3 years old or 93 years old.

Zahava and her husband Jeff are blessed with two beautiful children, Jadyn and Adyna. Like their parents, both daughters share an abundance of joy for theater, music, dance, and the performing arts. Zahavas hobbies include fitness, running marathons, hiking, arts and crafts, singing, dancing, travel, baking, decorating, and fashion.

Jaclyn has been a dental hygienist, practicing in both Bergen and Passaic Counties, since 2008. We are proud and privileged to have Jaclyn in our close family of patients and staff. After earning her dental hygiene license, Jaclyn graduated from UMDNJ with a bachelors degree in health science. Once you meet Jaclyn, you will see how outgoing and passionate she is as your hygienist. She believes there is nothing more rewarding than making a difference in someones life by improving their oral health.

Iwona joined our team in 2012 after graduation from Berdan Institute four years before. She is an excellent assistant who works seamlessly alongside Dr. Schild. Iwonas friendly, soft-spoken personality always makes our patients feel comfortable and relaxed during their dental treatment.

Gum disease is one of the leading causes of tooth loss. Gum disease has two primary stages. If diagnosed and treated in the first stage, the condition can be reversed and tooth loss can usually be prevented. In order to prevent gum disease,practice good oral hygiene and visit your dentist for cleanings and check-ups at least twice a year.

This stage only affects the soft tissue of the gums, and the patient may not experience any discomfort. Although the symptoms may be very mild, it is important to diagnose gum disease in this early stage before it progresses to periodontitis.

Periodontitis is the name for more advanced periodontal disease and if permitted to progress to this point, not only the gums are affected but the bone structures supporting the teeth will be compromised.

A build-up of bacteria causes Gingivitis. In its early stages, inflammation around the gums is observable, with gum tissues appearing red and swollen. Gums that are easily irritated or that bleed during tooth brushing indicate the presence of Gingivitis. Removal of the plaque buildup is necessary to prevent the development of gum disease.

As the gums become more inflamed, they start to pull away from the teeth, forming spaces known as periodontal pockets. Food, bacteria, and plaque begin to collect in the pockets, leading to infection. The surrounding bone becomes damaged both by bacterial toxins and by the immune systemsresponse to infection.

Dr. Todd K. Schild was born and raised in Bergen County. He joined Resnick Dental Group in 2012, and subsequently purchased the practice from Dr. Gene Resnick upon his retirement in 2016. Henceforth, Paramount Dental Arts was born.

Dr. Schild graduated Magna Cum Laude from Saint Peters University and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the prestigious Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska.

Since his graduation from dental school, Dr. Schild has been participating in a monthly continuing dental education curriculum. His desire to stay up to date and learn in a collaborative environment with other top professionals in the dental field enables him to provide the utmost superior dental care to his patients. The combination of having the most advanced technology in the office and Dr. Schilds drive to keep up with the latest advances in dentistry allow him to treat his patients with confidence, superior care and ensure a comfortable dental experience.

Dr. Schild credits his remarkable team with the offices success. His success will be measured in his ability to provide compassionate care to all his patients with a commitment to excellence and integrity.

Outside the office Dr. Schild has been involved in community volunteer projects including building homes in Appalachia as well as working in OneWorld dental clinics that serve less fortunate children. In his spare time Dr. Schild enjoys traveling with his wife, Robin, and spending time with his adorable boxers, Penny and Mia. When he is not at the practice, you will find him fishing, boating, snowboarding or golfing.
