Dr. Torres was born and raised in San Diego, California. She is a San Diego State University and Creighton University School of Dentistry alumni. Today as a board-certified General Dentist and a member of the Nebraska Dental Society she takes pride in providing friendly, and compassionate care for the entire family. It was caring and compassion that led Dr. Torres into the study of health and wellness. Dr. Torres intense desire to learn and give her patients better care stems from her central focus of uncovering patients health desires with them. The enjoyment of helping people motivated Dr. Torres to become a dentist. She believes in treating patients with the same care, respect, and communication that she gives her own family. Dr. Torres knows through this pursuit that teeth cant be looked at as separate from the body as a whole. Knowing what health actually looks like is the key to helping patients understand exactly where they are at and is integral to helping them form the vision for their health. Dr. Torres, together with her husband are owners of a growing dental practice. They enjoy dentistry and are proactively taking CE courses that provide the most advanced Dentistry to share with their patients.
As a mother of three children, Dr. Torres is well versed in the intricacies and challenges of raising a family. Therefore, she strives to provide to her patients the same type of support and love she has for her own family. She fully understands the importance of having a strong and open relationship with your dentist in order to accomplish total wellness.
Dr. Matthew Carter graduated from Creighton University Dental School in 2001 and has been practicing dentistry ever since. He married the love of his life a year later and decided together that they would raise their family in Omaha, Nebraska. After several years of honing the skills he acquired in Dental School Dr. Carter found a second passion in helping his patients achieve the highest level of health they desire. It was then when Dr. Carter and Dr. Torres decided to reorganize their practice to address the fundamental mistrust between doctors and patients by creating an environment where trust comes first.
They wanted an office that would address improving their patients health needs and lives in order to bring about a positive advancement for their patients and in themselves. In this environment, patients learn about how patients patterns of behavior have put them where they are today, and what needs to be done to improve themselves. Dr. Carter believes that when health is fully achieved, it means less dental work (which is everyone secret desire!). The best reward Dr. Carter feels is when after a patient has completed treatment theyve put themselves in a position to maintain their teeth as long as they need them.
Patients goals are unique to each patient, so theres no one size fits all standard that can be applied to everyone across the board. After speaking with patients Dr. Carter uses the patients attitudes, goals along with what he can offer as a dentist to come up with a treatment plan to discuss with the patient. Through constant education and refinement of his clinical skills, Dr. Carter brings a wealth of dental experience and knowledge to the table. The most fun part of his job is helping patients understand where they are and finding out where they want to go. As a happy husband and father, Dr. Carter enjoys spending most of his free time with his family. Father of three (Nico, Elynn, and Theodore). Dr. Carter very much enjoys helping his kids with their activities such as; Tae Kwon Do, golf, or helping to tutor their studies. If time allows, Dr. Carters other passions are reading, golfing, hunting/fishing, and sometimes a little gaming.

Unfortunately after a few visits I went from thinking Dr. TORRES-CARTER was great to completely upset. First appointment she made me comfortable with a blanket and rice pack which was a great experience but after a few appointments I noticed she was very disorganized. She left the room at least twice an appointment because she didn't have what she needed. Her receptionist has to be hounded to send the information into insurance. In fact I am still waiting for them to send a diagnosis to the insurance for a procedure that my daughter was referred by Torres-Carter to get in January 2022. A $1400 procedure that hasn't been processed through insurance because she won't send the reason why she wanted my daughter to have a tounge tie reversal to our insurance. She also canceled two appointments on me which was a huge inconvenience.

Paragon Dental is the absolute best. Drs. Torres and Carter are the friendliest and are dentists with the utmost expertise in their field. They truly care about your whole person (and I mean whole! Family, career, and physical health). I've learned so much from them and make a nearly half an hour drive from home just to continue seeing them for my dental needs.

Dr. Carter gave me his cell phone after putting in my temporary crown. He said call anytime if it falls out. Of course it was on the weekend it fell out, and I was going out of town Tuesday. He worked me in on Monday got me a new crown and his wife placed it for me so I could leave town Tuesday. The dynamic duo!

Curious about a natural approach to dentistry, I was pleasantly surprised to discover this different perspective at Paragon Dental. What an added bonus to find a team of knowledgeable, personable people dedicated to giving detailed attention to the patient's current health, as well as goals for future dental and overall health! The atmosphere is pristine, friendly, and comfortable. If you are looking for a very pleasant dental experience, I highly recommend Paragon Dental!

I was delighted to meet like minded practitioners who focus on the whole body approach to health with the mouth and teeth being just one part of this. As a Wellness coach and educator they spoke my language. They are also some of the nicest, kindest people. Kudos for their good work and progressive clinic. After a bad dental experience I found Paragon Dental 6 years ago . I have always felt like number one when I am there . The dentist truly care about your overall health. They do not rush you and answer each question clearly . I have had major dental procedures and each one was clearly explained prior to the procedure . The entire staff is warm and welcoming . I highly recommend this practice as in my opinion they are the best in the area . Thank you Dr Carter for giving me my smile back!

I have only been to Paragon Dental once so far, but I will definitely be going back. The staff was knowledgeable, kind, and explained everything! Would highly recommend if you are looking for a dentist office!

Paragon Dental is wonderful! I broke a couple of teeth in a fall, they saw me immediately and I had temporary crowns by the next day. They are friendly and they know me, I'm not just the next patient to be seen. You can tell it's a positive work environment for the employees by the way they interact with each other and the patients. I highly recommend Paragon Dental.

It may seem hard to believe, but I find a visit to this office to be most relaxing and satisfying. Peaceful atmosphere, high focus on environmental safety, unified team approach to each patient makes me feel at ease. And, my teeth feel great when I leave. A very thorough exam. I have been coming here for years and the care is excellent. From the doctors and staff especially, kayla the receptionist. She always accommodates me and my schedule to find the perfect time suited to my needs. Definitely recommend everyone here at paragon dental.

I highly recommend Paragon Dental for anyone, and especially for people who have had bad dental experiences. I have been seeing Matt and his team for close to 17 years now. I wont see anyone else, because these guys are so awesome. Its now a 45 minute drive, but well worth it for a dental team that listens, treats you with respect, doesn't talk down to you, always works with you, and actually cares! Words cannot express how grateful I am to these guys. I suffered for a decades with dentists that didn't listen, and I was in so much pain. Literally couldn't take the pain of the drill, because no one would listen that I could still feel it. I avoided the dentist with a fear, and as an adult, had major issues with my teeth, until I went to Paragon. Matt listened, showed patience, and to this day says it take enough anesthetic in my mouth to knock out a horse.
