James R. (Randy) Bird, DDS: Completed his undergraduate studies in biology before attending the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Bird is continually learning, and routinely completes more than four times the amount of continuing education required in order to stay at the forefront of the dental field. He has received advanced training in implant dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, full-mouth reconstruction, and occlusion and occlusal rehabilitation. Additionally, Dr. Bird is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA).
As a dentist, Dr. Birds ultimate goal is to help his patients keep their teeth for as long as they live. He truly enjoys working with individuals and helping them improve their health and maintain their smiles. He states: I enjoy working with and helping people. That is one reason I like being a dentist. I recognize that my patients are unique individuals who have placed a great deal of trust in me and my team. This gives me an opportunity to help people improve an important aspect of their life. I was never a fan of the dentist when I was young. Because of that, I can appreciate patients who would rather be somewhere else than in the dental chair. That is why we make our office a fun place to be, for children and parents alike.
I respect each persons opinions and ideas. For me, clear and open communication is key when it comes to discussing treatment. I enjoy taking the time to chat with each patient and answer any questions. It is important to me that every patient is fully aware of their options for care.
Dr. Bird has an amazing wife, with whom he has five children. Of the seven members of his family, three are dentists and one is a hygienist. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and participating in water sports.

Dr Bird was very thorough. Explained things easily and put me at ease. His staff are amazing and friendly. They atmosphere is clean and calming. Great first appointment experience and would highly recommend them. They also got me right in.

The entire experience was very nice, the atmosphere was very friendly and made you feel welcome like family. The ladies upfront were very personable and very kind, each person I met/worked with didn't give off condescending vibes that some dentists can so it was a fantastic experience. If you are shy kind of like me, then this place is definitely somewhere you should give a chance :)

I have been anxious about going back to the dentist for years. Paradise Family Dental has completely changed my dentist experience! From the moment I walked through the door the front desk ladies made me feel welcomed and it never stopped throughout my entire visit. You can tell each person loves what they do and who they do it for. Dr. Bird was fantastic and every hygienist and assistant I met as well.

Paradise Dental is such a caring place to have dental work done. Both ladies at the front desk are personable and friendly. I always feel welcomed, and I appreciate the way they listen. I had my teeth cleaned today, and Michelle, the hygienist, did a great job. She was careful with the sensitive spots and provided me with ideas for alleviating the sensitivity. I also like the way she tells me what she's doing as she does it. Going to the dentist can be stressful. Dr. Bird and the Paradise team provide an almost stress free experience.
